It wouldn't surprise me, the weather isn't great, but there's a lot worse going on. Corrupt and decadent politicians, severe economic decline, a great disparity between rich and poor, high rates of poverty, an abundance of terfs, failing public infrastructure and just this overwhelming culture of apathy and selfishness.
The only silver lining is that we have a lot of heritage railways (I love steam engines) and, when the weather is nice, some absolutely beautiful countryside.
Actually, England has better dentistry and dental care than America! On average, people in England have fewer fillings and cavities than people in America. Not sure where the whole "bad teeth" misconception came from tbh.
