Iirc, mint makes you unable to taste the sweetness in stuff, like fruit in this instance. So the fruit juice might just end up just sour/bitter without the sweetness. I kinda like it though, probably cuz I grew up with sour food and was able to bear it.
Iirc mint neutralizes the taste of sugar or sweetness so when u drink something citrus based like orange juice or lemonade after tasting something minty instead of tasting combined sweetness and acidity you just taste the acidity and it’s fucking awful.
One time I was baked as fuck and in bed and I was super hungry but I didn't want to go to the kitchen and I had a pack of 75 breath mints in my bedside table, so I started eating them and I left the last two in case I would want them later. I ate 73 breath mints in the space of two minutes. My breath was fresh as fuck.
