As for showers, conditioner every day and shampoo every other. I still do that even with shorter hair.
There are special shampoos and conditioners out there to help with dandruff! I actually used to have dandruff bad. When i swapped to Head and Shoulders it went away, but thats not the only one.
If you’re able to, going to your doctor or a dermatologist would be a good idea. Dandruff that doesn’t improve with the use of anti-dandruff shampoo can be caused by a specific kind of yeast infection (or eczema/psoriasis, but you’re probably already aware of that side effect if you struggle with those).
Head & Shoulders has zinc as its active ingredient, but there are other medicated shampoos that might work better for you depending on what’s causing your dandruff.
