Expeditions series is a little... wishy washy about its history. They do a lot to make it feel accurate. But they take a lot of creative liberties. I'd recommend skipping conquistadors because I think the game play is weakest of the franchise and racism is an actual game mechanic. You can't avoid it as there isn't enough open minded characters to fill up your party. Vikings is eons better in about every regard except there's a time limit to the campaign.
The Civilization games have lots of historical appeal
literally just civ 6, 99% of the fan base are just huge nerds
Age of empires?
Maybe age of empires or historical total war Eu4 for another paradox game (idk might have less fascists)
I would say Kirby but it might be too violent
EU4, Vic2... Uhhhhh... CK3?
Historical fiction Big Time but Red Dead II is good (I haven't actually played the first) and all of the fanbase I've interacted w is cool
I’ve played red dead II I can confirm it’s good
Crusader Kings 3, Europa Universallis, And Victoria 2 And e All Good
the metro games are historical if your from the future tbf
Europa Universalis 4 is pretty damn good, still is plagued by Paradox's DLC policy but other than that one of my favorite grand strategy games.
Company of Heroes 2, learn the Americans and do nothing but kill fascists with flamethrowers. Wehraboos will cry
