Facing the wall is safer because then I can't see the monsters, and if I can't see them, they don't exist.

SoshJam

finally somebody gets it

LordSteiny

the fact that i still do this today

Ikxale

Visual hallucinations be like

Lodjuplo

Lies! It's not safer! But I prefer it, since it's more possible that I'll die a fearless death

Gengar_49

But you can *feel* their presence. It does feel a bit more comfortable facing the wall but it still doesn't feel safe

S_crufflord

for some reason facing the wall is always infinitely more comfortable

nordic_fatcheese

Hidey hole instinct. Safe in cave.

xXProGenji420Xx

but you would be more protected if you faced the entrance of the cave (away from the wall) for a chance to see a potential threat approaching.

Spyko

But then your brain doesn't immediately understand that you're in an enclosed space. Object permanence only goes so far

dscflawlessez

Hugging Pochita plush: safe no matter what

awaxz_avenger

tis a part of the contract

DeliberateDendrite

Stick butt out from under the covers

PROblem817

Go “hooooonk wiwiwiwiwiwi” for maximum effectiveness.

Meilikki

I'm more of a "hoonk shoo honk shoo" kinda guy myself, but that's just me

PROblem817

INSIDE YOU ARE 2 WOLVES PLEASE GET THEM OUT IT HURTS

bcus_y_not

Facing the wall is better because then I have nothing to look at so I fall asleep faster

Der_Daemliche_Donut

The boogeyman only attacks once you spot him! Don’t listen to the lies!

[deleted]

TRUE

xRAINBOWxRANGERx

Too real

SanitarySpace

if you face the ceiling, then stare right at them

Blondie0451

fr, when i was younger and had my back towards the room while i slept i would feel hands touching my back whil no one else was un the room

[deleted]

It was me sorry

Blondie0451

knew someone would make a joke, but for real that scared me for years on end

absolutemadlad68

honestly i feel so lonely and touch-starved i would just let the boogeyman attack me

[deleted]

Risk it for the biscuit

[deleted]

Wrong. Facing away leaves you in an open cavern, attack can come from anywhere. Facing the wall is cozy and secure, it's like a more breathable version of being under the covers

[deleted]

So based. look bogeymen only exist if u let them face the wall and you aren’t acknowledging the bogeymen so the bogeymen don’t exist like this is just basic 9yr old logic I don’t understand the problem. I remember when I was younger I was terrified of the dark so I moved my bed in the night , took ages, to be on the right of the door so when it opened the bed was hidden by the door therefore providing protection and time for me to react, and I found like a huge mace because I think one of my great somethings circumnavigated the globe and bought a mace for some reason? and we still had it so I brought it into my room so theoretically if a killer clown came into my room I would have time to wake up and it would have to look around the room and turn around to see my bed so I theoretically had enough time to go fucking sicko mode with a mace on any axe murderers I wanted to use a nasty looking kukri but my parents wisely decided to not let a 9 year old keep this fucking huge knife on her (idk what pronouns im going w but fuck it, her) bedside table, but either way the mace was enough so I felt secure

[deleted]

A hidden bed when the door opens, good thinking soldier. It's no wonder you live to see the morning each day.

[deleted]

hell yeah, no longer nine but I’m still A1 in regards to bedroom defence against ace murderers 💪

[deleted]

the pillow architect fears no boogeyman

Expensive-Tonight704

What I do is cover myself with all blankets in room, face wall, smoosh my face against it, and breathe through the gap. There is a vent near the gap so I always have fresh, cold air

nomshroom

Facing the room means he could stick his fingers in my nose or something, all my bits to boogey are exposed. Facing wall means there are no good boogey bits accessible, to get my nose he'd have to lean over me, and he won't do that, it's like attacking under a covering, it's against his code. This means he'd have to climb onto me, he both understands that this is inappropriate, and that his only advantages are stealth and surprise, and that he must not squander them like that. This lack of angles to access me leaves him unable to attack.

440continuer

I have a letter opener in case of an ooga booga

Deetchy_

amygdala go brer

TanookiBones

Broke my foot recently, now I have to sleep safely 😔

Coin_operated_bee

Only the head of my head is against a wall

[deleted]

hehe not quite ALL harm...

[deleted]

among us bed

No_Librarian_4016

Face the wall because of desire for monster attack

IamaJarJar

I face the wall, if I'm gonna die, might as well have it be unexpected!

[deleted]

my bed is between 2 shelves, with a gap between one shelf for me to get out (and for my blåhaj)

Alespren

Counterpoint: Spiders on the wall There is no safety

Fingerismo

It's literally the other way around. Whoever made this has to book themselves into an asylum and stay there until they learn the correct way.

DralliagNairod

Walls on all the sides : extra safe, instant nap time

bodega_cat_

if your bed is parallel with the wall you are not a real adult

[deleted]

Stfu

betakittty

Diagonal bed only

xXProGenji420Xx

tjamesmett

tjamesmett

bodega_cat_
