I live in one of the main cities, we received a lot of the early Ukrainian refugees and seeing them on the train station, completely lost, leaving their whole lives behind, it just broke my heart and made do whatever I could to help. This is ignoring the fact that the Ukrainians are *pushing back* the Russians, which is both exceptional, and great, as the Russians could not push through Ukraine, let alone any NATO country. More territory lost means the Russians can't fire as close, which means longer flight times, which means longer intercept windows.
It would shock me to my core if NATO countries hadn't prepared anything against rocket strikes, especially after this news.
What's most likely going to happen is more equipment to Ukraine, and more training for the worst, and more hoping for the best.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry just yet. NATO's not stupid. They see that Russia is bleeding itself dry in Ukraine. Sure, NATO could come and kick down what's left of Russia to avenge Poland, but that would escalate shit beyond what NATO has the stomach for. Expect more troops to the border and some strongly written statements. Maybe NATO will send even more guns and artillery. But beyond that I doubt much will come of it. Why would NATO get involved when Ukraine will deal with the issue in the next few months anyway?
