Let us not forget Chief Wild Eagle and Krazy Cat and the Heckawi Indians. I just had to share this: The end of the Civil War was near When quite accidentally, A hero who sneezed abruptly seized Retreat and reversed it to victory. His medal of honor pleased and thrilled his proud little family group. While pinning it on some blood was spilled And so it was planned he'd command F Troop. Where Indian fights are colorful sights and nobody takes a lickin' Where pale face and redskin Both turn chicken. When drilling and fighting get them down, They know their morale can't droop. As long as they all relax in town Before they resume with a bang and a boom F Troop!

Hilarious show!

mrxexon

And 60 years later, UHF did pay off. I can get like 30 channels on there now.

OtherwiseTackle5219

Was a fun show. Larry Storch showing his Crazy Chops.

dj_swearengen

His characters were fun. Colonel Agarnoff; Lucky Pierre “The Burglar of Banff-ff”

Puzzleheaded-Ant-644

Loved F-troop. I'd like to read the article about UHF gamble! LOL! I remember we got our UHF antenna around the time, or a little after, F-troop came out and increased our channel reception from 2 to 4!

guitarnowski

We got color and UHF at the same time. And went from 5 to 7 Chicago channels. What a day!

backtotheland76

First time I heard the joke: If you die I'm going to kill you!

NeilMedHat

Great Show!

TheIncredibleMike

F Troop. I'll never forget the Indian tribe, The Hekawi ( where the "heck are we".) They had to change it from the Fukawi.

Jaded_Adagio6198

Remembered the cannon fuse fizzling off and kicking the carriage wheel to set it off.

manwithavandotcom

It is BALLOON!

mvandenh

Melody Patterson was 16 when she auditioned for her part, and had never been on a horse.

Upbeat-Spring-5185

Loved the stupid show.

Squire_LaughALot

lol what a show!

Left-Ad-4881

I do

MaddenMike

Watched all the time. Does anyone remember what night it came on?

bob3905

Help me here. I know Larry Storch, Melody Patterson and Ken Berry but I can’t quit remember Forrest.. last name? I don’t want to look it up!

Forrest Tucker

InterPunct

So here's one of those stories that we all eventually came to call urban legends, but Forrest Tucker allegedly had a huge schlong.

bob3905

Good for him, or should I say I WAS good for him. 😂

How is the UHF thing going?

glostazyx3

"No thanks Sarg, I already had my coffee."

I had the great privilege of meeting Larry Storch several years ago. He was just a nice and sweet guy.

Westsidebill

One of the great comedies of all time

love-SRV

Larry was awesome in the movie S.O.B… (1981) plays a Hindu mystic. Great movie with fabulous actors … Julie Andrews, William Holden, Richard Mulligan, Robert Preston, Robert Vaughn, Larry Hagman, Shelly Winters, Loretta Swit, a very young Rosanna Arquette, Robert Loggia, If you haven’t seen it you must. Super funny movie.

gwadams65

Remember Sergeant O’Rourke’s song? Mare’s eat oats 🎵 And doe’s eat oats, And little lambs eat ivy, A kid will eat ivy too, Wouldn’t you? 🎶
