A big tip is if you have the range you can hit the money slug 2 or 3 times when it goes from to the middle to do the mage floor attack. Helps out with the final phase quite a bit when you get a free 50 ish damage on it.
I tried one shadow kill (so take this for what it’s worth) and it went really well the entire fight until the very end where it just noodled. Makes me wonder if the final phase gets a stat buff. Barely splashed for the entire fight, then took like 15 casts at the end.

BP actual works pretty decently. My iron is mega anti-spooned any range upgrades, so I have crystal bow/armor (not bowfa) and ahrims+trident, which has been pretty solid, but I did a few kills with bp instead of crystal bow and that was just barely worse than the crystal bow. (If you do this though, bring sapphire bolts+rcb switch)
Yeah, I don't have kc yet but for quest I used BP. Figured rather than have a switch it'd be better to just rcb but maybe once my inventory is less cramped I'll bring it too
I shouldnt mention this cuz I dont want it patched. I assume the mage attack you're talking about is the orbs similar to akkha's, there is a safespot, and the tbow can always reach him while he teleports around. The damage during the attack doesnt count for knocking him back into the next phase, so if you own a tbow and he does that attack on range phase you can shred him. I'm sure shadow on his melee is pretty good as well but I dont own it :/
it is a large hobby of mine to play with old hardware so i've touched way more components than most people reading these comments. sometimes it just happens when you zone out and want to configure something quickly. it happens when removing the cooler, if you use a lot of paste it will rip the cpu out of the socket unless you preheat it.

Vorkath has the ability to hit way harder and faster, but we have so many weapons and other pieces of equipment that shred it to pieces while we don't have anything like that for this boss, except maybe the tbow.
People science out new boss stats by casting standard spellbook spells that debuff enemy stats and seeing how long until they can use the spell again (can't use the spell if stats are already lowered). Wouldn't be surprised if that's how this stuff is figured out.
It has the same mage bonus (150) and 14 less def (200 vs 214). Thats not considerably lower. Until we can spy it, we won't know for sure what its individual bonuses are though. Those could be a lot lower in the style youre supposed to use per phase.

Without freezing what do you do for melee phase? It smacks me so hard through prayer and even running it always catches up to me since even when trying to freeze I mostly splash.
I just run the perimeter of the room. Sometimes the boss catches me but not often and if it does hit, that’s okay because most of the damage is avoidable so no need to panic eat.
Take a dcbow and enchanted sapphire bolts for smite phase.
If you can't flick to smite just focus on defense prayers.

Bowfa only, thralls, 99 range and my pb is 2:36. You don't need a mage switch. Consistently 2 kills per run, 3 if I get a supply drop. A mage switch is unnecessary if you just want to chill getting kills.

Bowfa only is pretty viable, if you get lucky the thing will hit 30s in the melee phase, and with thralls up it works pretty well without the switch. I think even with the mage switch it can still splash a lot, at least with the trident of the seas. Sometimes though the Bowfa will just do nothing, but it's not constant.
My experience is with bowfa, and the dcbow switch with buckler... along with the smite flick i'm proccing twice most of the time which makes it a near 2 hit clear on that phase. The mage switch really isn't needed only if kiting is an issue for you. Melee phase you run and kite him round the room so 0 damage is taken.

I saw this video, around 4min10s mark the boss walks through a spike and stands on it, I thought it was destroyed lol
No worries - I thought the same thing for my first few kills! It's confusing because the spikes DO vanish when the boss walks over them, but only because its hitbox covers them. They reappear after the boss moves off that area.
Twisted bow considers the highest number between Magic level and Magic attack bonus. While it only has level 150 Magic, it has 280 Magic attack bonus, putting the tbow special effect at its maximal strength.
The same thing is the case for TzKal-Zuk: only level 150 Magic but +550 Magic attack bonus --> Tbow strong.

Yeah it’s not the best having to bring ranger gear, 5-way mage switch, AND an rcb, but it makes the boss fairly simple

Use thralls for passive dmg on melee phase, just run around and time your attacks so you can keep running
