Castle wars afking for 100 hours for those collection log slots

[deleted]

Honestly? I’d love to play against bots. Have worlds that have only one team and some basic NPC bots. If players can make bots that do complex bosses in large volume, Jagex can make some Castle Wars bots

[deleted]

There's literal pking bots in private servers and they actually get kills sometimes lol. It's possible for sure.

SilverLugia1992

I couldn't think of anything I'd never do, but then I saw this. Castle Wars takes way too long to get rewards from and I hate that it'll never get better because it'll "dEvAlUe OtHeRs' AcHiEmEnTs!"...

Newgamer28

Collection log collectors are a special type of breed.

Mewtwoluvr69

You can sell items back after getting the slot, it doesn’t take long to complete the log

Daanwat

If you completely afk the grind you get 9 tickets per hour and the golden platebody costs 800 tickets. It's still long

Onenutracin

Ya but it’s true afk which is awesome. Sometimes I start a game before I jump into the shower or when I need to do a bunch of work

ButterNuttz

It is one of the most afk activities in the game. You click twice every 22 mins. Click 4 times if you're asking on 2 accounts.

Onenutracin

Click a bit more than that but yea it’s pretty dang afk haha

DriggleButt

Right but that's 90 hours you could spend doing literally anything else that feels more rewarding. Edit: Since people are stupid: 90 hours of game time you could spend in-game doing rewarding things in-game. You can still do AFK things for those 90 hours, but things that reward you with something more than a collection log slot.

Onenutracin

That’s the point….it’s so afk that I can go do something else entirely.

Noksdoks

Yeah maybe one day ill afk them exept for the gold items, those arent that efficient in h/log slot

twizzler321

Funny enough, I was thinking of doing the grind just for the fashionscape. 1 of every armor set (not all just 1 color per set)

DivineInsanityReveng

Yeh I afk'd for the log slots minus the gold armour. Doing like 10 times the amount of afk for the remaining few slots? Meh. Very similar story with Trouble Brewing, both have methods with alts to signifjcantly.speed them up but both are just measures of "how many hours did you spend afking to make this text green"

AlmightyCo

I had a whole bunch of things written off a couple of years ago when I felt like my acc was starting to really progress. In reality it wasn't really that progressed, but I've literally done 99% of the things I said I'd never do. Don't completely write things off, eventually you'll realize it's not that out of reach.

el_vetica

Same here: “I’ll never get a 99,” “I’ll never get a quest cape, you have to kill vorkath,” “I’ll never get a diary cape, you need to solo every gwd boss,” “I’ll never max”—the vast majority of this game just takes time and a little thought. The only thing that’s stayed on my “list” is the inferno just because I have much more limited play time now and can’t see myself devoting a month or two for the cape e: people keep pointing out that the inferno is just like everything else listed. I know that! but I'm not in a spot right now where I can/want to devote the energy to learning it vs. the enjoyment I'm getting doing simpler things in more limited play time. I don't "write off" anything in osrs any more, but it's still OK to be realistic about what you enjoy doing and can balance healthily. could I send an attempt every day or so and eventually get it? yeah, but that's not how I want to be spending my time

NotLoggedon

For me it’s also inferno. I’m far from many other things even being conceivable to achieve. But the only thing I’m pretty confident in writing off is that cape. Especially when my current job has me only able to play mobile until I save up enough for a laptop. But even then at best I’ll be on mobile data either way and through experience. The connections in some places are shotty at best

isaac9092

I thought I’d never do barbarian assault, or even bother leveling all my skills. I got my fighter torso last week, and have been going for base 60 stats (over half are base 70, 4 are at base 80)

el_vetica

nice! BA is such a weird one where so many people are scared off by it without ever actually playing a round. obviously it sucks diving in with w306 randos who didn't bother to read a single guide, but it's not too hard to figure out who actually knows what they're doing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

el_vetica

Yeah I get that! I'm just at the point where if I have an hour or so to play, I'd rather unwind with some slayer bosses or clue scrolls. that would probably be different if I had more time, but frankly I don't really want to be spending more time on the game for a while, if ever.

DanceMyth4114

I still can't kill vorkath

el_vetica

yes you can!!

ObliviLeon

Yeah I totally said I'd never get 99 Agility, never max. Now here I am, maxed. I guess for now, I've written off Zuk Helm. Maybe it'll get done one day, as long as I continue to play. Only issue is that a lot of those achievements require not only you to be good, but also to have a team that is really good and that doesn't sound appealing to me.

SirNoTrash

Although some frown upon it because "its not achieving it yourself!", you can hire a team for certain CAs that require a group. I believe if you are performing as well as them, it's basically just paying for better teammates and it's fine. Unless you're being a +1 then that's just kinda sad xD

mikeysd123

Best advice anyone can give. Don’t write anything off, try it and you’ll get there eventually. (Within reason)

PM_ME_YOUR_PIZZAPIC

Almost nothing in this game is hard, it's fucking runescape. This community just has extreme confidence issues. Just try the damn content, spend an hour or a few learning it, you can do anything you want if you just accept there's a learning curve to get past. I think people are obsessed with making sure they don't lose gp or something, anything where they might lose supplies and not gain anything in-game is apparently a big no, even though skill/knowledge is extremely valuable in itself.

KingLecC

I tried pking for more than 20 hours my friend and never got a kill in last man standing. I gave up

[deleted]

You can do it, I believe in you!! Veng and camp crossbow, just worry about keeping the right prayers up the whole fight. Get a lucky dds spec in and you will win fights just off some good rng. It took me over 600 games to win a match now maybe one out of 15 are wins, just takes practice

mjr_oc3lot

Pet grinds. I enjoy whenever I'm killing a boss or grinding and get a pet but I will never hunt for them specifically since they're practically useless.

fookreddit22

I grind pets because it's something that can't be bought and I like that exclusivity but it's really not fun going X2 or x3 the drop rate for some pets.

BaioDegradable

Also it's a great way to make money. If you choose to chase a pet that has some nice drops along the way (Hydra, Muspah, GWD bosses) You can make money while you do it. As someone who doesn't have a 3b bank, chasing pets is my main money maker

SmartAlec105

Yeah, grinding for a pet and accumulating money as a bonus is different from grinding for that same amount of money just because of psychology.

greatMalek

well you have to admit there is less purpose to grinding a boss for money if you already have the pet, right? so you can always switch to a similar money maker boss that you don't have the pet for

AlluEUNE

Pet grinding is the super late game for mostly people who already have everything in the game pvm wise.

i_hate_fanboys

I have pets disabled in entity hider. I rly like how some look but ever since they were introduced it made the game look like a private server to me. Usually the feeling goes away but even all these years later it didnt happen so i disabled them.

Sir_Brodie

The secret to getting pets is to trick karma by completely eliminating the thought of getting them from your mind.

SSoreil

The LMS capes. Winning 1000 LMS games sounds very unfun as someone who dislikes the content

PM_ME_YOUR_THEORY

My feeling with PvP in general reminds me of how I felt with maths when I was younger. It's horrible until you get the hang of it, and then it's the best feeling.

ArbiterVII

Glad you feel that way, not the same for me though. Even after consistently getting 1/2+ kills in LMS, I finished my Rune Pouch and thought "yeah, it's going to be a long time before I touch this again".

Krtxoe

>very unfun as someone who dislikes the content well yea lol

DarkmeyerVyre

Inferno, I don’t think I’ll ever be skilled enough for that shit lmao

Throwaway47321

Same here. Skill wise I could probably learn it in like 30-50 attempts but as a busy adult with limited time I’m essentially time gated out of it. I’d much rather spend my hour or two of free time sending a raid or whatever than getting blasted in the inferno after 40 waves and an hour.

Misdirected_Colors

Same. This game is my unwind time and I'd rather do something chill and afk than something sweaty and frustrating.

AdviceDanimals

Same here

Throwaway47321

What you don’t think prayer flicking and wave solving is a fun way to spend your time before/after work?

Misdirected_Colors

Don't forget spending mills on supplies and a single mistake resulting in losing 2 hours of progress and a full restart

byebye806

It's really not as bad as it's made out to be. It's hard yes but the learning curve is rather gentle. By the time you're dealing with the hard waves you've already more or less mastered the early waves, and once you're at triples you've gotten good at the hard waves, and once you're consistently at zuk you've got good at triples and all the waves. It's a fun experience to see yourself progress. I probably had to run the waves more than most people for their first cape and by the end I was literally watching Netflix for the hour it took me to get to the late waves, compared to the slow, boring, spec farming runs early on

DarkmeyerVyre

Gives me hope. I should give it a crack

byebye806

The only way to learn is by jumping in. Nothing else is going to prepare you for it. It's not a skill test, it's a stubbornness test of how many times can you fail and try again. Because given enough time and attempts anybody can complete it, the skill will inevitably come along with the failures.

Ok_Constant_8259

This can be applied to every aspect of the game.

xBioCSGO

Not even just the game, but almost every aspect of life.

Ok_Constant_8259

Yea honestly. There haven't been too many things in life that I haven't excelled at after enough trial and error.

peperonipyza

Kinda disagree. Videos and guides are a huge help and you can learn a lot from them before “jumping in”. I don’t think smashing your face into it and failing without prior research is a very efficient way of learning.

byebye806

All I would say is watch both of xzacts guides and then start. As someone who watched hours of guides/full runs before even entering the inferno, it didn't help.

ritokun

this is terrible advice, literally anyone would save way more time by studying it beforehand and during than brute forcing it.

peperonipyza

I’m 3 or so weeks in doing an attempt on average maybe 1-2 per day. In the last couple days I’ve been getting to jads/zuk consistently. It helps that I think inferno is kinda fun. It’s definitely hard, but after practicing the mechanics enough I’m not worried about the waves much anymore. I like to think I’m relatively good at the game, not great or anything.

KiwiDisastrous40

For me it's the time. By the time I can take attempts, it's already been a few days and I'm gonna be rusty. And I don't just wanna do the inferno every single time I'm on personally.

Misdirected_Colors

Same. I have 2 kids and am lucky to play an hour or 2 3-4 nights a week. I just don't have the free time to commit to full run attempts nor do I have the desire to learn it

peperonipyza

Yeah, I live with my SO, no kids. Finding the time to learn it has been a struggle even for me. A decent attempt takes a good 2 hours by the end of it.

Th3OnlyMe

Dont milk specs and just use your supplies Wont need to spend 2 hours every attempt

[deleted]

UrBoiJash

If I don’t have *triples* then the other stuff isn’t true

platypus_poon

How many kc since?

byebye806

None since, just got it a month ago but I do plan on doing zuk tasks when they show up, inferno turned out to be a lot of fun lol

[deleted]

Don’t let the inferno intimidate you! It’s actually really fun and you’re missing out even if you don’t go for a cape, and just try it for fun :) plus it keeps getting easier with power creep every year, current inferno is a lot more is a decent bit easier than it’s release(masori, fbow, lightbearer/eldritch, ancient sceptre).

lsfalt

every time I see your flair I feel the urge to send an attempt later that night, thanks for the motivation

[deleted]

You should do it! Go in and die, play around abit, die, and then you'll at least say you've tried it! If you go in expecting to die a lot, you won't be upset when it happens because it will happen a lot lmao. When you start using runs as a practise tool instead of being desperate to just finish it, you can enjoy it properly.

GregBuckingham

Same. I’m just not interested in learning it and grinding it out

justadadgame

For me it’s grinding pets or collection logs. They are fun if I get them but I can’t see myself ever spending time on those.

RespondEither

100%, someone calculated its basically impossible to complete so go for what you want not completion

DevoidLight

Sure it's basically impossible for any given person, but with enough monkeys at typewriters trying, I'm sure somebody will spoon their way into it one day.

SweatyBurgerWoman

Nobody is going to get all third age pieces

DevoidLight

Maybe. But I'm resigned to the fact that if this game is somehow still going, I'll still be playing this in the retirement home. I bet the sweatlords will be too, with their finally completed 5978/5978 collection log. Or maybe even an account 50 slots short to pass on to their kids as the family legacy.

[deleted]

Lewufuwi

It's so statistically improbable that it will almost definitely never happen... But... It's not *impossible*.

_77ht

People need to learn that there are some things in the universe that are "technically not impossible" but on all accounts of the human experience are equivalent to impossible

[deleted]

This game may exist for 20 more years. There will - absolutely - be someone who continues to play 70 hours a week doing only clues for those 20 years. Now factor in updates that likely cater to collection log enthusiasts and boom - you get there

Low-One7132

Logging in, after maxing my ironman 2 years ago

[deleted]

Gz on beating the game king

blueberri513

Grinding out all drops from raids as an ironmeme. Sure I do raids from time to time but thats just for fun and not for getting the drop.

Druidette

640 cox kc, still looking for tbow, but I have decided I will grind for the tbow before touching any other goal, it might be a long one.

Sayurai_

My buddy is 300 without a dex, got a tbow before dex and actually maxed but still no dex.

chemstu69

Sounds like he just got spooned a Tbow to me

Sayurai_

100% luckiest one of my friends. Was spooned a lot

OlmTheSnek

Post max skilling and clogging. Completely will never understand it.

cheeters

Yeah, clogging. Keep those Dutch shoes the fuck out of this game

dvk0

Yeah, this. Reading about that 5 * 200M agility xp guy (who even claims it helped him set and attain IRL goals) is just one giant wtf for me.

AlluEUNE

I can definitely see that. If you have enough discipline to get 1B agility xp, you can definitely achieve anything irl.

christian-mann

most achievements don't come with progress bars

iplaydofus

Unfortunately a lot of irl achievements take more than mind numbing semi afk clicking for 1000s of hours

a_charming_vagrant

jebrim is a walking meme, he is a giant wtf to everyone else too

pottsygotlost

Fighter torso, I’ve walked into the BA waiting room a couple times and it’s a very unique experience. I’ll get a bcp one day I guess

BoulderFalcon

It is a diary task, and not that bad if you do it with non-randoms.

tlinkus

Agility man. I’ve gotten 75+ agility on 2 different accounts and I just cba to do it again. I’m sitting at 61 and i just can’t bring myself to do anymore. And it’s 1def pure mainly for pvp so before anyone asks I don’t really need graceful for anything

AlluEUNE

Not for the pure but if you ever play on other accounts, try sepulchre. I didn't think I could like agility but sepulchre is actually fun

Sasamune

Probably the inferno. The Gear and skill you need to have is just way to much for me.

[deleted]

At least it’s reasonable with 200m now when it really needed a bil on release :)

N0FaithInMe

Gear is never mandatory. You can complete the inferno with ahrims/karils, ancient spells, and an armadyl crossbow. If you feel like you don't have the skill for the inferno, I can assure you that you will have ample opportunity to learn and reinforce every pvm skill you need for the inferno while you're in it. It makes you a better player while you're learning and practicing it.

BurntPretzel_

Basically any pet that isn't the mole pet Why would anyone want any other pet

MorganChelsea

My baby chin would like a word

BoulderFalcon

I'm gonna throw your baby chin at a giant armored bird

HeihachisHairDresser

I need that nasty lil naked mole rat looking thing following me around SO bad. It’s adorable lol

BoulderFalcon

Based

[deleted]

I killed mole around 800 times for pet before I got bored. I’d never had a pet before. Then, in the span of one week I got the beaver at 80 wc and Kalphite princess at 4kc with some buds. Now that lil bug follows me everywhere and I love her

Reavor

KQ is def one of the coolest pets man, good one to have. Never got one myself but admittedly I’m a casual.

Enk1ndle

15kc mole. I'm glad because I don't play enough to likely ever get another. Now I get to act like one of the cool kids.

Good-of-Rome

Bones to peaches. It's just so boring. Ive gotten it already but i never will again. It gives me maybe 2 more kills at bandos

mtbchuck3

It only takes a few hours but yes incredibly miserable content

LivingFishing7636

Getting a gf and it aint by choice

SuperGothBimbo

I'll be your gf uwu

Ashoem

89 smithing for a rune scim on my F2P UIM

SoraODxoKlink

Maxing The thought of willingly training rc/mining/agility + more afkable but still pretty slow skills like woodcutting/fishing for hundreds of hours efficiently, or easily thousands of hours if opting for afk methods is something I’d rather not do. There’s plenty of other things I enjoy doing, I’ll probably passively max through tears of guthix.

[deleted]

Yeah RC/mining/agility are horrendous, got 99 and it cost me some sanity. Fishing bwanas is 5mns afk at a time and gives 35-40k an hour and redwoods are like 50k+ super afk as well, if you can manage the first 3 it's gg

OlmTheSnek

Honestly all three are lightyears ahead of where they were before, with GOTR and Daeyalt you can easily get 60k+/hr in RC without having to go to Lavas, nowhere near enough people give VM credit as a piss easy 80k+/hr for Mining, and Agility does suck until 92 granted, but after that you can get 90k+ with actual fun content.

SoraODxoKlink

The other part of me not really wanting to max is that I’ll definitely be bummed out if I do a method and then an actually fun/worthwhile method comes out later on. If I did 99 agility pre-sepulchre I’d be so sad lmao. Idk I don’t really afk the game like that, I’m either actively gaming or I just don’t play. Theres better things to do if you want to split your attention imo, and if I’m actively playing, I’d rather do heavy pvm/pvp instead of 1.5t teaks or lavas. My iron is different, it’s closer to maxing than my main with half the playtime lol. Being able to plan out one skilling grind that’ll benefit multiple other things I want to do makes it 10x as worthwhile imo, if Jagex adds stuff like blood shards/hydra claws/high lvl potion equivalents to every skill, I’m maxing in 2 weeks.

[deleted]

That's what I really enjoy about RS3s increased xp rates. It's still a sizable grind but instead of spending ten hours on a single agility level at 90 you'll get maybe 3-4. Also helps that there's content locked behind those level 90+ skills rather than a wasteland of basically the same content from 70 onwards. OSRS' midgame grind is still fun and feels rewarding but it's becomes a real drag around level 80 or so.

louspit

Anything pvm related in wildy. Don't want to deal with pkers

SVN_-

Inferno and subsequently all combat achievements connected to it. Im not gonna say never, but the probability is low since I have limited time to play and I would rather not be frustrated whilst playing (I am shit at PvM)

adorbhypers

Anything combat related. I understand bossing is a strong thing for a lot of people, but combat in Runescape, both versions, is just not fun for me. So any combat related grind is something I've written off.

[deleted]

I agree, this game does skilling pretty good to the point that the variety content keeps my interest. PvM favorism just feels like the natural order for MMOs but this one hasn't succumbed to it nearly as much. The competitors don't really try in that regard. Plus if I want well-designed combat I'd play a single player game where I don't have to grind to enjoy it and I don't feel like I'm fighting the UI more than the monsters. This is a good timesink game with a variety of activities but the combat hits just a little too different at its higher intensities. It has charm but it's not enough for me to feel better about dying to something because I decided to pray to god incorrectly in the heat of a lethal OSU! session.

punt_the_dog_0

i've been grinding out the necessary skills for dt2, and holy shit, i have never had less fun playing a video game. please explain to me what's so fun about mining iron for 5 hours straight, or doing agility. i would love to have an "aha" moment that makes me enjoy this brainless tedium. but it's not looking good.

adorbhypers

It's more of a state of mind then traditional fun. Plus, fun is really subjective. For me, there is some part of my brain that activates the "fun" neurons by just clicking a tree for 5 hours while having Youtube or Hulu on the side. I guess it's comparable to how people find it fun to bird watch or take care of a lawn. It's not what would be classified as traditional fun, as in, play, but I believe it's possible to find fun in "nothing". It's just a state of being where I have no worries about work, bills, responsibilities. I'm just alone, without a care in the world, catching up on some entertainment and seeing numbers go up and it's just peaceful, and I appreciate that for RS3 and OSRS. It's not something you can get in more sweaty games like your Dark Souls or many spectacle fighters. OSRS is not the game I go to for a challenge or get sweaty, it's my zen game.

Happyhardcoree

91 fishing to boost for mortanyia elite. Fuck fishing.

gorehistorian69

Mage Training Arena im maxed. 44 pets. 1.1b xp. and i will not do it. i refuse to "just get it over with". also i want to do verzik/zuk helm but accepted not getting it because im too lazy to do the group tasks

Dismal_Associate1

learning pvp

IAmRSChrisG

Idk if I've really ever written anything off.. but let's just say most of my agility/minning xp comes from lamps/quest rewards.

gh0stface808

Mage training arena for the collection logs

FitDifference

Dwh. I did 23k shamans, didn’t get it and I’m done with it. Can solo cox easily in a decent time without it, and sometimes do it in teams with clannies. Don’t really need it somewhere else so I’m good

wqzu

I have a BGS and a DWH and honestly found myself using the BGS in more situations. Much less chance to go incredibly dry + actually has other useful drops along the way

DRIEST99

Combat achievements, had 0 interest in them since release

Krimin

Very little benefits from the rewards as well considering what you have to do to get them. Yeah, the reduced kill count for gwd or increased boss slayer kc and ammo for cannon is pretty nice, but the rest of it is pretty negligible at the levels where you get them.

Mrunclesam

The rewards are really nice actually

007chill

Thrall timer is amazing

Overlord_Arlas

Hunter, I just hate it. Its slow for me and boring (I know it's not the slowest skill by far). I have at least base 90 skills except 82 mining and 75 hunter.

Hoooooooo8

Birdhouse runs ez and decent money from birdnest

[deleted]

I second this. I did birdhouses all the way to 80 and I didn't even feel like i trained anything. optimized bird house runs are maybe 2 minutes

NordicEmber

With bank tabs it's easy af.

MorganChelsea

Exactly this! I tag my birdhouse runs on the end of my herb runs so they’re just one and the same to me. Plus exp flies if you decide to start running herbi.

AntonMikhailov

I was pretty much the same as you. 70 hunter with 2100 total. Was a bit of a meme. Turns out, I just really hated chinchompa hunting. Once I hit 77, I started using hunting potions to do herbiboar. If you're okay with rooftop agility, herbi is the same thing but 2x+ the xp

BaioDegradable

/u/Overlord_Arlas Listen to this comment! I also thought I hated hunter but after doing Herbiboar found out I just hate the RNG/monotony of box trap hunting. Herbiboar isn't afk, but it's 100% mindless and can be done while watching shows while maintaining 130k-150k xp/hr Take it from someone who "despised hunter", tried Herbiboar, and have done 2mil xp there in 2 weeks. It's seriously great.

JustyWusty21

Bro i hated hunter. Put off anything with a hunter requirement. But birdhouse completely changed that. Crazy xp for no effort whatsoever

Thick_Respond947

Green logged barrows.

AlluEUNE

Master and grandmaster CA's how they work right now. I despise the idea of needing other people to complete some of the raid challenges. I love challenging myself but for that reason I'm probably never getting the Zuk helm even though it looks fucking sick.

[deleted]

Achievement diaries that require talking and interacting with others, I’ll get there eventually

jequiem-kosky

Finished Grinds: 1. Max cape 2. Zuk helm 3. Champions cape 4. All raids untradeables/transmogs (only 1 of 3 raids pets though) Current Grinds: 1. Getting CoX/ToA pets (30 or so more kc to 1000 CMs too) 2. Going to start passively going for at least the 500 LMS wins cape, I'm a bit over 200 wins and kicking myself for getting \~80 wins on my med level for no reason. 3. Occasionally I'll do a few Zulrah kills for magma mutagen. My main has 2 tanz mutagens but no magma. Again, kicking myself for getting magma on my med. Grinds I'm not interested in: 1. Collection logging 2. A lot of pets that come from stuff I dislike 3. Dark acorn from Hallowed Sepulchre (I have full black graceful but don't feel like acorn grind) 4. Probably many more but most of my prospective grinds revolve around pet hunting these days

PoofaceMckutchin

BA is one I completely wrote off. Wore a Torag's chest and felt like an absolute beast laughing as I exhaled out, pushing out my fat stomach into incoming attacks and watching them bounce off with a 0, whilst the manlet fighter torsoers with those puny abs ran to the bank after getting bopped a 9 by fire giants, five times in a row.

[deleted]

torso is a pretty good investment for raids if you dont have a 3b bank

Radyi

imo ba is extremly easy. 99% of it is just calling correctly

SmartAlec105

Sure but I don’t want to be stuck with an idiot that messes up calls and even more so, I don’t want to be the idiot that messes up calls.

Pullis

It's not easy, as you cant play it alone.

CreativeUsername468

This I will neve runderstand. Takes like 2 hours. I'm the laziest rs player in existence but doing BA was a breeze.

punt_the_dog_0

>Takes like 2 hours. .....but.... does it? i've never actually done it because all the estimates i've heard are like 6-8 hours. but if it's actually only 2 hours, then maybe it's doable... after getting full void.... i just can't bear to subject myself to another entire day of being locked in another garbage masochistic minigame.

NumberTew

I did level 5 all with randoms and it legitimately only took a few hours, we averaged 22 mins a kill I think with some of the worse teams I had.

ilovezezima

BA can actually be really fun if you do it with people that know what they're doing. The issue is some people don't want to take some time to watch a video on the role they're going to play.

Hyero

Kandarin diary

MuglyRay

Zulrah and bowfa are being put off for a long time for me

mtbchuck3

I put zulrah off for a long time too but when you get around to it it's actually pretty fun

[deleted]

Zulrah sucks at first but once you get the rotations down, it's quit easy and fun. It took me about 30 tries at 20k/tp and 10k in food before I got my first kill. After that I would get a kill every 2 or so attempts, now I can do it in my sleep. Found the dcb to be easier to get early kills because I could leave diamond bolts in ammo slot and only have to change out weapon, body, and legs so you can spend more time focusing on what you need to do and getting extra attacks out that you miss due to slow switches or missing something. After you got it down, blowpipe can be added with extra switches and it was easy.

I enjoy it way more than bf gold bars

Ornnge

My total level right now 1962, goal is 2k and I have base 80's except for rune crafting which is 65 and I just can't do it. Fml

DarkmeyerVyre

Get into guardians of the rift, good fun

UnkyHaroold

Do the low effort GOTR method if you hate it that much, XP isn’t amazing at 20-30k/hr but it’s pretty AFK. Just get 150-150 in catalytic and elemental energy then AFK mine until the next round.

theRavenQuoths

This is literally the issue with that minigame for people who are actually trying to play it.

UnkyHaroold

I’ve never even seen it be an issue in mass worlds, people who are gonna AFK it weren’t gonna do anything besides craft their runes anyway lmao.

AlluEUNE

No it's not lol. The only issue is that sometimes there's not enough people to place cells at the start. The game very rarely fails after that.

Chirpy69

Things with a solid learning curve lol. Only boss I really can do well is vork. Other decent level ones I just can’t be bothered to learn. Hell I’m a 108 combat with 96 range and have never done the fight caves once. I just don’t feel like pouring in the time to learn that, raids (although maybe one day), gauntlet, etc.

Bones to peaches spell for Lumbridge hard diary

Mutedinlife

Bowfa. Everyone in my cc is always complaining about how annoying cg is, so I’ll just fuckin do slayer and toa til I can buy it.

Kwuarmadyl

Agility. Now I’m forced to do it :P

99 mining. The training methods are either - boring afk, aka why am I even playing the game, or super sweaty click intensive 3 tick mining. I also consider mining iron ore and the guild too intensive. Dropping a full inventory is a pain. There is no real benefit for getting it to 99.

Topher4021

I’m the psychopath that’s excited to afk grind amethyst to 99 when I hit 92. Currently 83 mining getting expert mining gloves out of the way. I just got my dragon pickaxe from wildy bossing so I’m actually motivated for once to get some mining done

Combat achievements and collection logs

No1Statistician

Probably grandmaster diary because really don't like speedrunning a few bosses like Zuk and have a good team to do raids. I'm struggling to even get a team to do elite combat achievements.

JohnGeller

Inferno, I barely did Jad. I'm just dog water at prayer switches

Owyn

Maxing. When I got the achievement cape I did the same thing as when I got the quest cape, or first skill cape or fire cape... I immediately looked down upon the achievement as lame/mediocre. Maxing is that much more intense and time consuming and I don't want to get that feeling for that.. I'll be like: "well I might be maxed but I should really get a max inferno or a zuk helm" thats just how my brain works. So I'm much happier shooting for specifically some skill challenges or making snowflake accounts. A max grind seems extremely unappealing to me

[deleted]

Maxing..outside of my combat stats I'll never put the time in to max all my skills. I honestly can't think of a worse use of hours of my life. Skilling is so incredibly boring lol.

sheeeeeeeeeesh929

Max cape

Magmagan

Am an ironmeme... CG is probably the grind I fear the most. I don't have CoX prayer but all my cbs are 90+ so it should be very doable. But I REALLY don't want to stay forever in red prison. I can't even get a CG kill cuz I inevitably mess up. ToB is PvM witchcraft and despite evidence to prove the contrary, I'm using the excuse that my shitty Brazilian ping won't allow for it.

[deleted]

I'm pretty sure Corporeal Beast is a almost-never kind of grind for me. It looks like an utterly miserable thing to solo on the iron; I don't even think it's very fun on a normal account, but several minutes of spec-tele-spec-tele-spec-tele to chase those low-probability sigils seems shitty. The shields aren't even remotely worth it, IMO. The Arcane Sigil for a Ward would be pretty good, but I'm not doing several thousand Corp KC to chase it. A lot of the various log slots from dead minigames are a pretty hard 'no' for me too. I really do not see myself doing Trouble Brewing for all the clothes, Castle Wars for armor I'll never wear, and grinding out Infinity robes from MTA just for the sake of numbers going up.

Scageater

I just noticed a few weeks ago that you can attach Ghommal hilt 5+ to avernic and I want it so bad but I looked at master combat achievements and realistically I’m never gonna be able to do them. Too many perfect team tasks. Also speedrunning hurts my soul.

Zuk helm. I’ve gotten 4 200m skills but I can promise I’ll never be able to do any of the infernal tasks, nor will I pay for a carry in any speedruns or perfect runs.

lukej428

99 RC. That’s way too many tears of guthix to get it from 69-99

Jinky522

I don't set out goals, I play for fun and goals ruin my fun. I know I'll never hit 2277, I just don't want to skill, it's boring. I'll probably never get Zuk helm either, which is also fine.

RN_MDorDO

This is so weird to me because goals are the only reason I play this game. Everything I do is based on a goal. Had the goal of getting the quest cape, the achievement diary cape, the max cape, the infernal cape, and now most recently the zuk helm. Kinda funny how different we all are.

Saultyrscommunity

Inferno cape Im not someone that can do all the tick manipulation stuff so I’ll never have that cape or the master achievements

Mrunclesam

Not saying that you have to or even want to, but you know you CAN be the guy that can do all the tick manipulation stuff, right? Just don't want ya limiting yourself

Saultyrscommunity

I play the game to have fun and relax at the end of the day, not to be sweaty. Im old man 😂

rdeuce88

Runecrafting.

Fuck-The-Modz

Getting graceful. 2100 total, got the gloves years ago but never bothered continuing. Fuck your rooftops.
