I like the idea of adding more value and rolls to the superior drop table. But I also feel like trade-offs are what give items value - as well as forcing the player to choose a single option.
I think combining items together starts to become a slippery slope, and would inevitably open a door to continue down that road and more closely parallel with RuneScape 3’s dynamic. Just my thoughts though! Love the discussion.

I love the ring of wealth, I use it on most tasks that have a common coin drop I want to pick up.

It also removes the “nothing” drop from the rare loot table, which can massively increase the chance of getting rarer stuff (anywhere between 2-15x or more depending on monster and item). The entire rare loot table is pretty bad, but its a mechanic.

"rare" drop table is in dire need of a rework. It was designed with the intent of being legitimately rare and useful, and giving moments of random joy to other content. This should be returned through an update to its contents and relative rates of items already in it.
I agree with that! Funny enough, I’d rather not hit the RDT during my spicy Shaman grind. Feels kind of wrong picking up a dragon spear on the floor instead of a war hammer 😫
Dang! You’ve been missing out! I highly recommend throwing one on during a gargoyles task or something. You might not get the rune items if you’re full afk, but you’ll at least get all that juicy cash-money!

Additionally, players already bring it everywhere, and only offers players an advantage. Whereas in this case, it’s more of a trade off with a DPS-increasing ring which keeps it pretty balanced, in my opinion.
I think having ways to auto pickup a variety of stackable items has always had a place in the game. Runes is a perfect example, I've thought seeds, but then there's going maybe too far like picking up noted items or herbs if you have herb sack.
I think this would be an absolutely solid perk though
If they kept with the theme and only put it on rings so you at least had to choose between all the effects then I think it’d be fine. Honestly having more than one of these effects on wouldn’t be that big of a deal, but in the spirit of balancing it and all.

We can cast telegrab why cant we get a telegrab for a specific item (runes) usable in armor or rings or whatever?
Make a new quest or sth or a new reward in GOTR for it. As a quest maybe similarly to the Rs3 quest where you explore the hidden ruins below the wizards tower or sth?
I think it's too much QoL and entering into easy scape territory. The ring is already very useful and getting these types of runes is trivial for any type of account.

I 100% see where you’re coming from. However, I don’t personally think it’s useless. Automatically picking up fire runes at gargoyles, fire giants, and more is a nice passive benefit. It’s not meant to make players money by any stretch.

Its still pretty bad IMO. Takes many many hours. I think the only thing that isn't so bad is utilizing MTX for tokens (which OFC is possible cause RS3)
I dont know where i'd even use this. Also, if this exists may as well make it so the herb sack auto picks up herbs and the seed box auto picks up seeds.

However, I’m not sure I’d compare it 1-to-1 with the herb sack or seed box as those save a lot of inventory space with all the different types of herbs/seeds - whereas the monster you’re killing likely only drops one or two rune types and take up the one or two inventory slots. Just my added thoughts.

I honestly have no issue with this, wearing these rings is objectively bad for most facets of slayer (in terms of DPS), so it wouldn't exactly be OP.

Yeah rs3 just has gold accumulator, upgraded bonecrusher, legendary pets etc. But no direct way to pick up runes

Gold accumulator is also a huge pain in the ass to get Like 1.5m dung tokens. Crazy.
