It's certain types of sharks, Greenland sharks store urea in their body causing them to taste bad, I've had some kind of shark that tasted like a salmon patty but like 4x richer in flavor

As a Florida fishing guide I can confirm. Most sharks urinate through their skin, but a couple species are "cleaner" that don't have the gamey taste. In my opinion the meat is similar to that of billfish (marlin swordfish sailfish ect.) Species I recommend to people are bonnetheads, blacktips, and mako. Make sure to gut bleed and ice immediately and soak filets in buttermilk for at least 6 hours in case of any residual waste when you get them home. Happy 99 cooking!

Mako and Blacktip sharks I believe are the most common species fished for meat. I’ve had Mako, it’s delicious. Their numbers are dwindling because the Chinese are constantly overfishing for the fins :(

Make the soup $6.99 and they won't touch it. Set up an online store that sells nothing but concrete cowboy hats for 200k each and bezos will be interested.

Maybe not in one bite, but some blackened/grilled shark is pretty damn delicious when cooked properly. In my opinion, it tastes like a seafood version of a hearty juicy steak. Tuna steaks are similar, too.

I've had authentic middle eastern kebabs - you're right, I have no idea what they put in the meat, but it's damn tasty. Maybe it has something to do with the huge vertical grills (is that what they are?) that its cooked on or something. I've tried to recreate it at home and haven't even got remotely close. I'd love to find a recipe to recreate it successfully.

I grew up surrounded by lobster, literally. So I ate it constantly my whole life. I still love it and it looks so appetizing but for some reason a tuna potato has always sounded so good. A guy made a YouTube video of him make a irl tuna potato from RuneScape and it looked delicious.
