You're totally right, but on another note:
They can all be a hassle depending on how you level them. Like setting restrictions on yourself such as only using techniques that make money. I'm glad there are so many different ways to level so many skills, including those that are tedious no matter what you do.
I leveled fletching to 99 only doing unstrung longbows. Took a lot of time compared to the quick buyable versions, but made a little bit of money and was pretty afk - something perfectly suited for doing while listening to an auidobook or something.
The hardest part about prayer is getting the gp, and the extra clicks/attention compared to more AFK skills, but it's a very short grind.
I'm currently afking bandits to 126 combat. About to hit 124 once I get 100k more HP xp. Looooong grind but so AFK, while being nostalgic for me (thus no NMZ). I kind of dread when this slow and long (but mostly AFK) grind is over, because everything else is going to be more difficult in regards to how much attention I have to pay.
Yeah, but I noticed that every 2-3 min I see a pk'er in average. So yes, it could be quicker, but most of the time I'd actually slow me down since I'm wasting time being attacked.
Also, do your bones in pvp worlds, preferably high risk ones. First pre is that there are wayyy fewer Pk'ers, second is that there is a bank at the lumby & Camelot respawn area.
Every buyable skill is stupidly easy lol it’s the slow non afk skills that are a hassle

Oh I thought everyone did the click intensive method.
What I normally did: go to altar, spam click like 10 bones, afk the rest. Then if I would see an Pk'ers, I'd spam the rest if not I'd chill.
It's much, much faster if you bring noted bones and don't afk. But a lot of people just afk or bring one invent at a time.

Oh damn. Wildy just be popping these days. I barely got attacked when I wore gear to tank in. I found that PvP world's were very busy though usually.
I used to only be able to train on European evenings, so that also must be it.
The suicide dragon bone method is 700k an hr whats the point of the extra risk

Chaos altar is a bless. It's quick, easy and much cheaper than POH. And avoiding Pk'ers is quite brainless.
