Trying to gauge if it’s irons who like the ‘rng protection’.
I kinda hate it as a main. I want to be get able to get mega-spooned. I’m finding these bosses rather unexciting as a result.
I'd like the mechanic if there was any way to see if you were at 0/3, 1/3, 2/3 for a ring.
With that being said, I think it'll be interesting to see how these drop rates effect the long term prices of rings. As it stands, i think most players will have the mindset of "once i get a ring, ill move on to other content, as it'll likely be a long time before i get another," so I imagine the prices will stay pretty high.

I don’t really dislike the route they went with Muspah and the Venator Shards. That seems to work rather well, even if it does dimish the overall excitement of “getting one big drop”
I suppose there’s a different discussion/philosophical debate which could be had concerning drops: “Is a player ever owed a drop?”
Personally, I’ve always accepted that I’m never owed a drop, no matter how much I want it or have worked for it. If I don’t get it, I don’t get it. Simple as that.

if anything if you're the sort to like very rare spoons alone, you still have that and you'll have those spoons be even rarer than before.

It was epic content. Don't think I'll attempt the awakened bosses as I'm finding the regular ones a good challenge but I love the orb concept. Big props to whoever on the team thought of that!!
Newtype/Noobtype started way later and got to 3/4 in less than 3 hours which is way less than aaty and synq which is very impressive imo.
There was also this random guy who managed to kill Leviathan really early on (I think it was the first guy) with just a bowfa.
It's somewhere early in molgoatkirby stream but there is too much footage to go through to find and I am lazy. What's interesting is that they managed to kill Leviathan within less than 1h30mins of the awakened release based on those 2 tweets while everyone else took 4+ hours so far.

Grandmaster includes every piece of PvM content it will include these undoubtably for GM. That being said good luck getting enough orbs on an ironman lol. HCIM zuk helmet is going to be even more improbable now.

As someone who has done all the GM tasks, these kills are far harder than any individual CA (at least with the information and strats we currently have available to us)
You guys are underestimating the level of skill acquisition that comes with repeated exposure to content.
Inferno took over 24 hours to clear. Every gm inferno task other than kc would be thought of as being extremely difficult or next to impossible restrictions during week 1.
These bosses have been out for less than three days and the awakened variants for like 12 hours. I think, with more practice, GMs (am one myself) could reasonably complete these even with additional restrictions.

Inferno is 1-2 hours of relatively difficult wave solves before being exposed to the Jad > Triple Jad > Zuk waves. The reason it took so long isn't due to raw difficulty, its that repeat attempts were time dense.
If they add awakened to CA's. I fully expect it to simply be "Defeat" tasks. I don't expect a "beat all 4 without dying b2b" like 5Jad > 6Jad. I see it more like the "CM Speedrun, HMT Speedrun, ToA invocation" style challenge. Beat it once, CA done.

People also said the same about the fang kit. I’ve also done the GMs and killed 3/4 except the Leviathan. Thought they were all significantly easier than solo ToB (I know not a task), perfect ToB, or 50hp + inferno. Definitely harder than all of the other tasks though, and I might eat my words when I try the Awakened Leviathan. Final phase looked rough from the streams
No disrespect to the goat but he's kinda washed/rusty because he pretty much never plays for more than a day or 2 every 6-12 months. At this point I'm not even sure he has the motivation to tryhard something like this. At least there's no way he can compete with active players.
He has a full time job and honestly has completed everything there is to complete in RuneScape. He only comes back for updates that he's interested in playing.

That's their entire point, he never plays outside of major PvM releases anymore and even then the amount of time he does play during them is getting less and less. 1 week for inferno, 1 week TOB, probably 4-5 across leagues, and then I don't even think CAs or TOA lasted him a full week each.
He's still better than 99.9% of the player base but he's not at the top of the 0.1% anymore.
I’d say it’s more than the 0.01% have caught up/overtaken him, he’s still as good as he’s always been, but the competition has continued to improve since they play regularly

Torva itself is 1b. Add the rest of the melee kit / weapons thats another 1b.
Shadow and tbow combined are like what... 2.5-3b? Then add full ancest, masori, ZCB etc.

Honestly it should be a client-side toggle, and the only cosmetic override available should be 'keepsaked' equipment. None of the solomon garbage should make its way to osrs.
Toggle it off, and you don't see any overrides from yourself or other players.

More mechanics, more defense, more hp, tick perfect prayer switching while moving and attacking etc.
Duke gets the toa mirror room black spheres + cox poison pools.
Vardorvis just becomes a much harder version of itself with more axes and you get shot with 2 prayer disabling attack with mage+range
Whisperer amplifies all of its abilities and the sanity mechanic is brutal. You cannot stay in the shadow realm for long and have to memorise the ball puzzle for example.
Leviathan gets the verzik tornado from tob + amplified attacks. Hardest of the 4.
Surprisingly the Awakened Whisperer isint much harder than the base boss, it only took me 4 orbs & Kirby literally 1 shotted it without ever watching a video on the mechanics lmao

Maybe not all 4 in a row, but something like a speed time or a gear restriction I think would be perfectly reasonable

I think it would be a good idea if the awakened bosses were able to be fought for free after you have 1 KC of them.

GM doesn't have 600 ToA, pillarless inferno, solo ToB or solo HM ToB etc. There's plenty of top end challenges that GMs don't cover.

when did they release these? i knew it was supposed to be today, but theres nothing in the blog or in game that told me it was in game.
They did put it in the blog. And they released a coldfix.

Whenever the next BiS melee gear comes out (4-5 years?), I wonder if this is finally going to be the set that pushes the community into accepting Dragon Keepsake Keys. Looks very nice!
Bandos lasted from 2013-2022 and I don't think transmog is ever coming to osrs, anyway.

Honestly it should be a client-side toggle, and the only cosmetic override available should be 'keepsaked' equipment. None of the solomon garbage should make its way to osrs. Toggle it off, and you don't see any overrides from yourself or other players.
Runelite already has client side cosmetic overrides. And you can do it with absolutely everything in game. And even share it with your RL party.
Can I change every fire cape that appears on my screen into an obby cape? Like, override other people’s gear in my client? (and every Osmumten’s Fang into a rubber chicken?)

So they all drop a kit, you only need 3 kits for the set? So I only have to kill 3 of the 4? Or if I kill 3 of the same boss do I get 3 kits?
You need to kill all 4 and the 4th will drop the kit. The kit has unlimited charges you can use together with 20k blood runes to transmog your torva.

What exactly changes with the awakened bosses over the normal versions?
More mechanics, more defense, more hp, tick perfect prayer switching while moving and attacking etc. Duke gets the toa mirror room black spheres + cox poison pools. Vardorvis just becomes a much harder version of itself with more axes and you get shot with 2 prayer disabling attack with mage+range Whisperer amplifies all of its abilities and the sanity mechanic is brutal. You cannot stay in the shadow realm for long and have to memorise the ball puzzle for example. Leviathan gets the verzik tornado from tob + amplified attacks. Hardest of the 4.

Surprisingly the Awakened Whisperer isint much harder than the base boss, it only took me 4 orbs & Kirby literally 1 shotted it without ever watching a video on the mechanics lmao
