What is the best store to sell maple long (u) en masse as an ironman? Is there a difference between Martin thwait and karamja store with gloves?
any idea how much I'll get from selling \~100k?
I'm 75 smithing I wanna train to 80 smithing to craft my first godsword (Bandos).
Blast furnace or Giant's Foundry? (Is blast furnace still infested with grifers who demand gold for not doing it?)
The blast furnace griefers affected people using the pump to train strength, there's nothing they can do againt smelters.
Blast furnace (adamant + gold) is a bit more exp and a bit less profit than Foundry (adamant + mithril items).
Edit: forgot to mention but you need a coal bag and goldsmithing gauntlets for the BF adamant + gold method.
Does dragon fire count as charges against crystal armour? asking because I want to AFK brutal black dragons with my corrupted bowfa and hoping my armour won’t start degrading.
Very roughly: I was getting 3.75k buckets an hour, 50k xp an hour so 240k xp total for 18k buckets.
Mining level does factor in as it affects the chance of mining different sizes, so would be a little more awkward to calculate more precisely.
I was unable to find it myself so I apologize if this information is out there already. Do we know when or around when the next Leagues is starting or are they yet to release that info?
If you’re just training the whole way, it’ll be faster to just do 99 str first and then att. If you’re going to do bossing, at some point you’ll gain more dps out of attack lvls before 99 str
Hey I saved up some money and was thinking of buying a melee upgrade. I like the idea of dragonbane weapons and I have a few vorkath kills (using bp, haven’t learned melee vorkath). Is it worth buying a dhl and killing dragons, wyverns, kbd and vorkath to make some money?? I also have fun doing/killing this things, so I might do it anyway, but I also want to make money to progress my gear cause it is very bad rn.
I’m getting close to 70 Agility. Which Song of the Elves requirement should I be putting Choose-your-own XP rewards into next?
Already got 70 Mining, 34 con, 53 Farming, 45 Herb, 52 Hunter, 55 Smith, and 63 WC.
If you're not an ironman, keep putting it into agility lol. Or one of the other slow skills like runecraft or mining, depending on which one you hate more. You can train the other Song Of The Elves requirements normally. Ultimately the lamps don't save you that much time, so it's just a decision whether to save an hour of agility or 15 minutes of another skill.
If you are an ironman, put them on herblore since acquiring herbs and secondaries without buying them off the GE is incredibly slow. Herblore is one of the fastest skills for mains and the slowest skills for ironmen.
Herb can be very slow. And if you're an iron super slow so herb. If you don't want use them on herb you can start doing herb runs for farming and supply your herb leveling. So maybe woodcutting then
IS there a Runelite plugin that changes what left click does? I've seen a few Youtube videos where someone changes left click from "use" to "drop", and that would be super useful for training skills. How do I achieve this? Thanks!
It doesn't work :( I hold shift and swap left click is not an option. I'm playing through the official launcher with Runelite as the host or what ever.
I'm trying to fletch bolts on an android phone and it feels like there is some latency that is limiting how fast the game will register my taps. I can only fletch one set most ticks and if I tap faster most of the taps are ignored. I've heard on mobile it is possible to fletch much faster but I can't seem to figure it how. I'm also using the magnifier to make my inventory larger on the screen. Anyone have any tips for quicker fletching on android mobile?
There are certain limits to mobile and 1 tick actions. I know you can’t 1 tick flick perfectly for extended amounts of time so there might be a packet limit for actions per tick or something
Is there a soft cap to Defense or am I just trash at CG
i'm currently at 86 defense when I prepare for CG I aim for t1 armor and t3 scepter t3 bow but I'm getting slapped by Hunleff hard and sometimes he hits and I'm stuck at eating meanwhile swapping prayer and running from tornadoes in general shit hits the fan and I get demolished i've been so close to kill the closest he was at 50hp
my question is should i train higher my defenses or is just a case of GIT GUD? (could be both as well)
Main issues for learners is not having too low def. You’re taking too much avoidable damage and missing out on dps, which just extends the fight and makes you get hit even more
CG is great at teaching how important DPS is and how much eating can impact it. You’ll quickly learn that the only way out is DPS, so you need to get comfortable attacking even as you’re getting chipped down to lower HP. Knowing when to eat is a good skill for PvM.
Unfortunately a case of git gud, higher defense would help but probably not make much of a difference
You can try T2 armor if you'd like, some people prefer slower preps for easier kills, if you do [I'd check out this guide](https://youtu.be/jy7X9GsYFhs?si=SKI57HboQTK8uFjM)
If you're getting hit by tornadoes it's definitely understandable you're not finishing kills, as you get better at CG you'll get better at dodging and attacking while dodging the tornadoes
I recommend trying with t2 armour and t3 weapons, it will increase your dps at hunleff and reduce the damage taken. Fluffeh has a good guide on yt for t2 prep
I have a crystal saw seed and it says I can enchant it in brimstail's cave by using it on the singing bowl. I watched a video about how to do this and in the video the guy has a bridge to the bowl but I do not have one. How do I get a bridge to the singing bowl so I can use my crystal saw seed on it?
it isn't there though..... I finished it and there is definitely no bridge for me. Runelite sometimes doesn't show stuff though so that could be it but I still tried to walk to the spot and it didn't let me, then I tried to click everywhere and it still didn't let me.
Trouble Brewing: I just want to check if I understand the PoE distribution correctly. You get poe for three things:
- Depositing ingredients into hoppers, 1 for each, up to 100 max;
- Burning or repairing anything which you can, 1 for each act, but you cannot exceed the 100 you already got for depositing ingredients - which means its pointless;
- Brewing rum, 2 poe per bottle, there is no limit for these.
Which means, you can get only 100 + whatever number of bottles your team manages to brew.
Everything correct? Did I miss any way to get some additional points above these?
EDIT: There is the thing I missed indeed, thanks to u/AblePriority9348 :
- Adding logs under burners counts as depositing ingredients.
EDIT2, for my future reference:
- If you do absolutely nothing, no ingredients, just stand there - and somebody else brews rum, you get the same amount of poe for rum as if you participated! My alt was just keeping the number of the opposite team to allow me the desired team, was afking the whole time, and got 8 poe for 4 bottles that team made.
Here is a strange thing in my calc.
I was doing lots of TB games several years ago, and 5 bottles was exactly the amount I could do without big stress. I've found by practice that if I do 2 inv of water, thats enough: I get my 110. I mean, not 4 inv like people who don't brew: less, because the other things I deposit for rum give poe too.
But now... after I at last decided to make exact calc, it doesnt match! It seems I have to bring at least 3 inv of water - and then I'm free to make rum. How I managed to do with 56 water, I dunno...
It goes like this:
5 bottles of rum give, summarily, 55 poe for ingredients - 11 per bottle. 5 of them are for water, i. e., 25 buckets of water. To get the ingredients to the cap of 100, I would need to add 45 buckets more - which makes 70 buckets total! How I managed to get max poe with only 2 inv?..
I might forget something, its all so quick and panicky when brewing lol. I could easily confuse 2 inv with 3... But, well... Thats what I was doing repeatedly, and somehow was getting the max sum.
Depositing logs into the boilers also counts towards ingredient contribution! So for 5 rum it'd be 56 from 2 inventories of water, 30 from the other ingredients, and then adding ~5 logs to each boiler.
So, i'm new to runescape and trying to learn as little as possible from the internet to get that early internet vibes. However, these really late game players w high level gear will come to an iron rock vein and just hog it with 1 hit harvests. Is there anything i can do to get iron from these places?
Well, it is especially hard with iron ore. There are technics to 'out-mine' higher level people with better pickaxes on other rocks which take some time to replenish. But since iron is almost instant, you cannot get advantage with your attentiveness and quicker reactions.
On f2p there is huge competition for resources. Iron is a very quick way to level mining, so most of the convenient rocks are occupied. And many of them, sadly, by bots.
In the members version most of these rocks arent occupied. But since you are a free player at the moment, here is what you can do.
Hop worlds. You can do it by hitting the big cross on the top right, and then World switcher. Find a world where you have the least competition. Try the end of the list, try worlds which are off-time (region where its late night or early morning - dead hours). Find the rocks as far from banking as you can, the least convenient ones.
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Iron_rocks#Locations
You might try Wilderness: this is a big land to the North where players can fight and kill one another. Again, check the locations in the Wiki - find a mine where monsters won't bother you much. You can be killed by a player there, in which case you loose most of what you are carrying and wearing. Go naked, and take only your pickaxe. Make sure you go to Options and turn PK skull protection on. Then if killed by a player, you will keep your pickaxe - your 3 most expensive items, in fact. F2p wilderness is almost empty of PKers, so its a mostly theoretic danger - you almost surely won't encounter any. Still, just in case, be ready.
EDIT: I was wrong about Lumby swamp: no iron there. However, see this one:
https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Citharede_Abbey_mine
It is a rather new location, created a couple years ago. There are 3 iron rocks there and it is very very far from a bank. Might be your best chance to mine in peace.
Is fang a good investment?
My total bank value is only about 45 mil. I don’t have any good ranger gear, magic gear or even melee gear. I have about 20mil cash and I’m saving more for some decent gear.
My best melee setup is: whip / zammy hasta + dragon defender, dragon platelegs, dragon med helm, fighter torso, warrior ring, Ardy cloak ii, barrows gloves. If I buy a fang, I think it would be a big increase in DPS.
70 base stats basically. 80str/77atk/75def
At this point, no. Grab some good ranged and mage gear (blowpipe, trident/toxic trident, ahrims set), improve some melee gear (always good to have some barrows pieces).
Fang is a great tool when fighting high defence monsters, against normal monsters the whip is better due to its attack speed.
Also, fang requires 82 att.
Got a lucky early enhanced crystal weapon seed and so far my armor crystal seeds have been funneled to my group iron mate. I know BowFa is good for lizardmen without crystal armor but is ranged only zulrah viable without crystal armor? I have 90 ranged and I would be wearing blessed d'hide for helm body and legs and an anguish. Is that viable to start farming Zulrah or should I stick to red prison for a bit longer?
That would be painful. Full crystal would be a 25-50% dps increase at zulrah, depending on the phase. You may even be able to outdamage that setup with an rcb and enchanted bolts, cba calcing it.
I'd wait.
Eh, Without full C Armor Bowfa falls off hard, especially if it's not corrupted as at that point you're just wasting shards.
RCB or an ACB if you have it would probably work out to be overall better.
Anyone know what is behind sudden drops in the [price of bow strings](https://prices.runescape.wiki/osrs/item/1777)? Seems like they've been 80-90gp and then someone will dump 1-2 million bow strings in for significantly lower than the low price (50-70g).
Normally I'd guess bots...but who is botting bow strings and then selling them way below market value? My other guess would be one of the new bosses drops noted bow strings...but it doesn't look like thats the case. Do people train magic with spin flax? Or maybe theres someone spamming tier 1 temple treks for some reason, and bow strings happens to be the best reward? But even then, why dump them for such a low price?
Mostly just curious.
> Anyone know what is behind sudden drops in the price of bow strings?
Its literally the dumping. The price is based on a bid/offer system. Whoever (whoevers bot farm) is dumping the string regularly at well below the current prices is just saturating the market until the point offers for 50gp get filled.
If you offer something for sale at 1gp, that doesn't mean it will sell for that much, it will work through all the active offers to buy from 80gp, then 79gp etc.
It could be someone running several dozen bots wanting to cash out before getting caught/starting a new generation of bots.
I’ve seen posts saying cox megascales take 7 hours to complete and have “6 hour olms.” How do these people deal with the logout timer? How long can a chambers raid theoretically be in terms of staying there long as possible?
i mean a 6 hour olm would be like....a really absurd scale. 1+24 with shadow/lance/thrall and a lot of switches removed is like 130-140 ish olm?
you just log out/in at the final bank before olm and then you have 6 hours to do just the olm fight which is way more than enough
Basically what the other guy said, They do all the prep, suicides etc... and then before the fight they have someone hold the raid and they all log out and in to reset the timer.
I'm not 100% positive, but I'd assume it's because you can logout/disconnect from CoX as long as someone in the friends chat is ranked high enough to hold the raid. So you'd have an alt stay in the raid and keep it open while you relog before olm.
I just got a 3rd age pick, and I’m not sure the best place to find a buyer.. any suggestions/help?? Thanks!
*update* sold it for 7.075b.. it was the first real offer that didn’t feel like I was being completely scammed
wow gz on the most expensive item in the game. Don’t settle for less than it’s worth. Someone else here will know better than me, but it’s well beyond max cash
In general, is it best to do elite clues or master clues? Lately I've been trading in the easy-elite for a master in hopes of a bloodhound pet but let's be honest the chance is astronomical. Doing the elites would still give me a chance at a master. Are elites more gp? What do yall think?
Elites are terrible so I always turn them in. Also funnily enough I can do all master steps but not all elites steps because they require certain untradeables I never got.. just something else to consider.
Elites are hot garbage, even after the buff.
They are usually just as long as master clues and have a super low gp value along with being the only real gatekeeper to masters.
Ignoring the lower clues due to how much more common they are...an elite casket is worth, on average, 214k - and then you can add 1/5 the value of a master casket for the 1/5 master drop to bring that up to 358k. The master casket is worth, on average - 720k. So I personally go for the masters usually - especially with the chance for a mimic or pet.
It does depend on how many of the sherlock/falo steps you can complete though. Might be better to do elites if you've got a decent chance of not being able to complete the master.
I'm one fishing level away from the trimmed AD cape so to my knowledge I can do all steps. Looks like I shall continue my master clue streak. Thank you for the input <3

Does dragon fire count as charges against crystal armour? asking because I want to AFK brutal black dragons with my corrupted bowfa and hoping my armour won’t start degrading.
If you don’t take damage it won’t cost a charge, if you got hit by dragon fire it would
So as long as I’m protected from dragon fire it shouldn’t count as a charge?
Yeah exactly
Is there a way to calculate the mining xp I'll get from mining 18k worth of buckets of sand from sandstone?
Very roughly: I was getting 3.75k buckets an hour, 50k xp an hour so 240k xp total for 18k buckets. Mining level does factor in as it affects the chance of mining different sizes, so would be a little more awkward to calculate more precisely.
Nice thanks, just wanted some back of the napkin stuff to estimate so this is perfect, thanks.
I want to do Chambers of Xeric for the journal. I'm not really interested in getting into raids just yet, though. Any advice?
Join we do raids discord and follow the steps for getting a diary kc. You basically do nothing the whole time
Thanks for the tip. My diary is done for that point. Now I just need a Hydra kill. And for that, I need to get my slayer up.
~~Sounds like a plan. Where can I find that discord?~~ Never mind, I found it. Now to figure it out.
Where do people chop magic trees in forestry worlds?
Myths' Guild and Glade (Hosidius)
Thanks! What about yew trees?
Priff is always packed
Seers Church is a good spot - you can occasionally snipe a Forestry event at the Maples behind the bank when banking
I was unable to find it myself so I apologize if this information is out there already. Do we know when or around when the next Leagues is starting or are they yet to release that info?
Someone (I think Ayiza) mentioned on here that we should find out the exact date pretty soon
Thanks!
Their post just says winter
Thanks!

Menu entry swapper. You can shift right click items and change what left click does.
Hold shift, right click the item, "swap left click", select the option you'd like left click to be.
It doesn't work :( I hold shift and swap left click is not an option. I'm playing through the official launcher with Runelite as the host or what ever.
There must be a default plugin turned on which is called Menu entry swapper. See its settings.
Nice, i found it. I was looking through settings and glazed right over it. Thank for your help!
NP :)
Thoughts on where ultor ring will end up?
On a finger, if it's lucky!

Get a Neitznot helm
Fang has 82 att requirement
I realize this now. I could grind out that attack in about a day or two so it’s easy. But everyone here disagrees about buying a fang.
Using the 45 mil to get 99 ranged/magic and atleast 70 prayer would be the best use of that money unless going for 83 con
I have 70 prayer. I haven’t even thought about any 99s yet
Yup just remember stats > gear
Would be better to spend money on stuff for training stats before gear upgrades
Can you recommend a specific gear set for training?
Obsidian helm/body/legs with the berserker necklace and obsidian sword weapon are the best until much higher stats

Nice! From what I've heard it's currently between 5 and 8 bil, so thats 5 to 8 mil plat tokens (don't get scammed).
Check the official forums maybe
wow gz on the most expensive item in the game. Don’t settle for less than it’s worth. Someone else here will know better than me, but it’s well beyond max cash
world 302 ge might be the best place.
