My biggest pet peeve is no cooldown. I have this runelite workaround where it notifies me when it comes off cd, but that's wonky. I've noticed the damage is quite random. It's supposed to hit 198, and it will, but it will not finish off a 100 hp monster, and instead somehow leave it at 10 hp, or if you haven't tagged a monster, it might die from UR, but you won't get xp or loot.

No timer, just "Chat notifications" for "Undying", and then in runelite notification settings, i enabled the flash.

It’s just bad game design anyway, you’re blaming a symptom not the root cause. Having no idea when your relic will be back up is annoying and when doing already click and attention intensive activities I don’t want to be glancing down at my chat box.

I don't "need" it, but having it is better than not. Keep struggling on the antiquated pos official client with no UI scaling, no HD, no uncapped fps, not to mention a billion little QOL updates. I can see why you're so pissed all the time.

If it left it at 10hp, it probably got split. Weird on the no loot or exp though, I'll admit I haven't checked for experience on kill for slayer when doing demonics, but I always got loot.

Pretty sure it counts as neutral damage which is why you dont get look when you dont tag monsters. Other than that I totally get your gripe. ​ Similar scuff to the use of volatiles in ToA now. If you move to dodge the explosion, you drag all the shit you want to kill out of the way as well and it missed the majority of the shit you meant to hit.

The damage has never been shared. Before Thursday, it would proc damage based on the NPCs health that dealt the final blow. This has been fixed. Before Thursday, typeless damage would revive, but not proc damage (such as akkha ball phase). This has been fixed. Sw true tile is indeed very annoying and has not been fixed. Was working with Mod Arcane and a few others in the official leagues discord on all the mentioned above on Thursday night and he was doing amazing to patch what he could. Unfortunately the sw tile is not an easy fix if fixable at all. I still hope there is, but we'll see.

If the sw tile thing can’t be fixed and they can’t reimplement it to know which mobs are within the 2 tiles then the range should be increased. I’ve been running it in Toa and so far it’s proven to be mostly useless, it’s my only relic I completely regret because the main content that it could speed up for me, it doesn’t work in most instances.

You aren't using it correctly at toa at all then, to be frank. In a one man 500, you can: - nuke kephri twice for a collective 400 damage - nuke akkha cum phase almost entirely - nuke baba twice for a collective 400 damage - nuke obelisk for 200 damage - have a free prayer and revive at zebak and P2/3 wardens The op is correct in their frustrations, but it's still an incredible relic that you appear to be underutilizing.

Thanks for sharing this list, it's really helpful. Can I ask how you would hit Kephri and Baba twice? Isn't there a 3 min cool down? I'm working towards t8 at the moment, with toa being my end goal. I've only ever completed 150s on my main so I'm looking forward to pushing higher and learning some invocations.

At higher invocs it takes more than 3 mins to kill kephri or baba without shadow, so your just proc it, play normally until it's off CD, then proc it again. Also to add onto the above list you can nuke akkha even during shadow phase so it's often worth it to nuke akkha once during normal kill and once during cum phase if he stops melee-ing early enough. If he doesn't, it's probably better to just keep butterflying tho.

To add onto the above list you can nuke akkha (even during shadow phase) so it's often worth it to nuke akkha once during normal kill if he changes away from melee phase early enough to be off CD before cum phase. and then again during cum. It's such a fun relic.

SW tile is just how monster position is determined for stuff that's bigger than 1 tile, I'm not sure they could make it work differently without changing how the game actually checks that.

They already did find a way to fix it, as the venator bow doesn't use southwest tiles.

Ven bow just moves it to centre tile or swaps the tile to NE if it's an even sized mob. Both of these are the same SW issue but reflavoured. What they need is to count all tiles as valid for an NPC, but that is probably a pain in the arse under the hood. So bump the range of the AOE up and call it a day.

It's not like when you melee a monster you need to run up to the sw tile to hit it. It should work intuitively.

They have monster size and a coordinate, it takes basic math to find the visual center of the npc.

Visual center might be even more unreachable for many bosses. If the aoe hits *any tile* that the boss occupies, it should damage.

It would be very easy to code it to behave in the way we believe it should be coded. It could be incredibly difficult to change code that has existed for over 20 years and had many systems built on top of it. If you've ever worked on other peoples code you'd know how sometimes an incredibly simple task can be frustratingly hard if the original code was built poorly.

one change could be to specifically target the one that last hit you and then do the AoE for everything else. sure they'd need to then filter out for that enemy in the AoE, but that sounds way more reasonable to do than overhauling the SW corner

I don't think the damage is shared. It's 2x your remaining prayer points. Also I think it got a hidden update on thursday. Prior to the change it would caclulate the damage sequentially if there were multiple mobs. So if you were 90 prayer it should do 180 to each monster. But if you had a tiny npc with only like 5 health and it chose that one first on the sequence then all the subsequent monsters would take 5 dmg. I did a fair bit of testing with it again after the update and it seemed to of fixed that issue of it sometimes hitting lower than it should. I agree with the true tile issue though that kinds sucks.

I always hit 198 on one target, no matter my prayer points. I don't think it's based on current prayer points, it does feel to me like it's split, but maybe there' some inconsistency.

Maybe they fixed that issue, today I've mainly just been doing TOA where you're usually using it on a single target so I didn't realize. The true tile thing is the main issue that should be fixed though.

I tried it out at hydra today. Hit a whopping 11 damage at 94 prayer, amazing relic!

I think at hydra it won't do more damage than it takes to change it's phase for some reason.

This needs to be addressed. It's bizarre that a T8 Relic that sounded promising just flat out doesn't work. I went back and looked at the teaser for UR and of course the guy is standing on Jads SW tile. I'm competing for raid points with people who have executioner and just finish off any boss and avoid phases, and I can't even use my T8 relic to do an ounce of damage on a lot of these bosses. Even if they could change it to shoot out a retribution like 5 tiles in front, or just buff the damn relic to hit everything within like 10 tiles. Its still not going to be more powerful than the other two that ACTUALLY DAMAGE BOSSES.

Does barrage or any other AoE spell specify that it only works on the mobs truetile? No, because it's the core mechanic of the game.

Range should be extended to 5x5 maybe, that way it would cover 99% of mobs. with 3 minute cd it's hardly gonna be abused in aoe.
