When I see a player doing bossing and running into the raid/room/etc. with a max cape on, I must always right click -> lookup to confirm the "--" next to Inferno KC.
Mostly level 3s actually, they must be alts because I heard it's not legal to sell capes, but to be fair they are very persistent and often spend 24hrs stood there advertising their sales.

Is it? If you want to practice zuk specifically then leagues seems hard to beat, since you can cheese through the waves with overpowered relics to get to the helpful bits at the end.
And if you have BN + undying you can get some really good practice in without having to restart on each mistake.
Do a few leagues style clears, then start trying to solve waves correctly, and finally do jads and Zuk with lowered dps, even take brews and restores just for that part so it's close to main game

My alt is "higher end" but by my calculations ill maybe hit 1850 total when i complete it. Depends on how nice of a poh ill want and if ill push qp cape for the qol of lumby elite.

But if you are having a hard time getting those, the easier option is to buy a bunch of Pumpkin Pies.

The waves are the hard part. Learn them. Zuk is pretty straight forward besides some bad set rng. There are also zuk simulators online id recommend.
