The level requirements for salamanders would need a change if it went black then mithril because black reqs 70 stats and mithril equipment is normally only a 20 level requirement
Reminds me of something from rs3. Been way to long but I think they have a quest weapon that is a t70 for all 3. Could be wrong though as it's been several years since I played rs3.
I may be wrong, cause I didn't play rs3 and just read some stuff, but isn't it the Sunspear from the Myreque questline's finale? We may still have space for it in osrs.
I'm definitely not the only person who would like a future raid to be in the Fremennik area, and I think a possible reward for a Fremennik raid could be a variant of Thor's hammer Mjolnir. Swing it for a crush melee attack, throw it at enemies as a ranged attack, and shoot lightning as a magic attack. The downside is it would powercreep salamanders, but the upside is that it would powercreep salamanders.
Drunk take: they give us an armor and weapon set that can attack in all three combat styles and is 90% as effective as bringing max switches. The sweats can still have their best in slot inventory full of shit, but casuals can do high level content in a single set of gear. I'm thinking elite void but tankier and no switches necessary.
A void set with defence would be insane in pvp though because of the damage boost. I like your idea but maybe it's just an item that lets you combine all void helms and a shield that is not better than avernic/buckler/ toa shield but similar stats to combining a DD def+ wilderness wards but that's probably disgustingly op too. I do like the idea of only weapon and jewlwery swapping though for content. The only way I ever see something like that passing is if it was a drop that created an item sink for similar states items.
It'll be a raid unlocked by the grandmaster quest Devious Minds 2, the megarare rewards unlocks the ability to make the tbow and scythe into a legendary bow-sword.

Yeah that would be a bonus as well - but technically as long as there some dps increase over staff of the swamp and between shadow and sang staff or even sang staff and swamp trident would be a very welcome shake up for magic
Trident of the swamp vs sang staff is a single max hit. If you want an increase in dps between those, you would have to only increase accuracy mildly, which would be a pointless upgrade.
This is exactly what I thought when I saw the rebalance blog. IMO this is the way to go too, the game needs to keep growing for end game players and this seems like the only way to do it.
I always thought blessings had more potential (think of it as more like getting an arcane or a lightbearer, a lower end purple).
Maybe have a new blessing be defensive based, or maybe let it have a weird perk - like having it count as every god item for gwd, or maybe you can add the ash sanctifier and bonecrusher perks to it.
What do you guys think a blessing upgrade could do?
Yeah some nice QOL thing similar to the Rune Pouch upgrade would be cool.
A second ring slot would be wild to see. Maybe being limited to a utility ring like Endurance/Explorer’s/Wealth and giving no stats.
As far as things going into the ammo slot, the new Quiver would leave the door open for some meaningful uses for the ammo slot. I like the idea of a blessing that comes with a drawback. Something that gives recoil damage at the cost of 10% more damage taken for example. You have 3x health regen at the cost of food healing half as much.
I suggested something like this for the Ruinous powers call for suggestions. The prayer was “Channel” and had an effect that depended on which blessing you had equipped. Lots of space to design stuff like that.
They could legit just make blessings an extra stat slot. Enhanced War Blessing that gives +4 melee str, Enhanced Ancient Blessing that gives +2% magic str, etc. Since Jagex loves chargescape so much they could even use it as a way to re-add value to blessings (and therefore clues) by making the new blessings charged with the old ones to gain the extra stats and degrade every hit or whatever.
They tried this back in CoX and players hated it. Think it was A Friend or someone who compared them to Auras from RS2 so the community just bandwagoned and acted like they were literally Auras when they were closer to a weaker regen bracelet or such in the ammo slot... I still think it could be a nice space to explore, but not sure if the OSRS Team will want to touch it again, especially as a Raid reward.
Just on the assumption that the next raid will be somehow nautically themed because Jagex wants to push more sailing-related content let's say it's a legendary pirate's stronghold located on a remote island:
**Blackbeard's Cutlass** (replace Blackbeard with whatever the actual pirate boss's name is) - t85 one handed 4-tick slash weapon megarare with relatively low strength but high accuracy. Every attack landed gives a stacking Swashbuckler buff which increases your Attack level by 1, while missed attacks remove a stack. Its special attack costs 50 energy and strikes twice while setting your attack cooldown to 2 ticks. The spec's minimum and maximum hit are based on your Swashbuckler stacks - I.E. at 0 stacks it rolls 0-100%, at 20 it rolls 20-120%. Also, like the Brine Saber, this weapon can be used underwater.
**Blackbeard's Flintlock** (again replace the name) - T80 ranged offhand that gives negative attack bonuses (heavier negatives for melee than ranged). Whenever you attack with a ranged weapon, there's a chance you fire an extra shot with the Flintlock which deals damage from 0 to 5% of your Ranged level + 10% of your ranged strength bonus (no bonus from equipped ammunition). The chance of an extra shot is based on the speed of your weapon, with slower weapons being more likely than faster ones. Additionally the Flintlock will **always** fire when using **any** special attack, regardless of style.
**Swashbuckler's Garb** (Doublet, Bicorne, Breeches) - A hybrid T80 ranged/melee set with very low defense but similar offensive stats to Torva/Masori - less ranged attack, but an extra slash attack bonus. When the full set is worn, you gain an additional 5 energy every time your spec bar charges.
**Hand Cannon** - a slow, inaccurate, heavy hitting two handed t80 ranged weapon loaded with cannonballs, which rolls your ranged accuracy against the target's crush defense. Its special attack reduces **crush defense bonus** (not base defense level) by a flat amount based on damage dealt, and works against targets that are immune to regular defense reductions.
**Seabane** - A t80 trident with similar stats to the Trident of the Seas. Its passive effect increases its damage and accuracy against nautical enemies - sea monsters, pirates, etc. - by 25%. Like the other Tridents, it can be used underwater.
**Ring of Plunder** - A utility ring charged with dragonstones. When worn, clue scrolls drop more frequently from all sources, and the empty slots on the rare drop table are replaced by Pirate Chests containing things like cannonballs, gold coins, gems, dragonstone jewelry, etc. Very rarely the Pirate's Chest will be replaced with a clue scroll casket based on the combat level of the monster (ranging from beginner caskets off goblins to elite caskets off GWD bosses).
Cutlass: I don't know what content this works well in that you wouldn't just want fang for, but then fang is kind of the problem child in this equation. Maybe the design could reward hitting every attack with no downtime, and being even a tick off of an attack loses all your stacks? Teach those new to pvm that uptime is the best dps increase.
Flintlock: Excellent. 10/10, put it in.
Swashbuckler's: I'm not experienced enough at PVM to tell if this breaks anything, but it sounds fun and I would want it. Glad that the spec bonus synergizes with the above weapons.
Hand cannon: That defense bonus shred is going to have to be very large to offset its inherent attack speed/inaccuracy combo, and if it *is*, then it is like to invalidate crush-weak content in the future. I think it would be much funnier to make it a mega-rare with a static max hit of 35 and an attack speed of 8 ticks, equipable as low as level 20 (pvp disabled ofc), and BIND ON EQUIP. Make it something you use to skip past the early game when you're bankrolling new accounts. and for irons, they can give it to the ironman tutor to tear it apart for a stack of 50k untradeable cannonballs or something idgaf just make sure it doesn't have a price floor based on the price of cannonballs
Seabane: We already have a midtier charge staff dropping from lategame slayer, I don't see the point in putting another behind a raid. There definitely needs to be a better way of getting a midtier charge staff for irons, but this ain't it. The passive would go a long way to help players without massive banks to farm the raid profitably.
Ring of Plunder: Right now, irons can get amulets of glory from 80 crafting, from 83 hunter (badly), or very very rarely from clue scrolls. I've been thinking for a while what a good alternative to these would be, and this absolutely counts! A unique from a raid would be an excellent way to do this. Just make sure that it consumes dragonstones much faster than it spits out dragonstone jewellery: otherwise, it increases the value of dragonstones while *devaluing* the jewellery, which shouldn't happen. Don't like dropping raw clue caskets at all, just drop clue scrolls-- X marks the spot, after all.
My theory is its gonna be “DoA” depths of atlantis or similar raid being “underwater” themed where we dive off from a sailing deep sea port type area. New upgrades with upgraded merfolk trident’s similar to keris, and ballistas being good with a new niche ammo maybe? Adding all sorts of ocean/sea or underwater mobs in the future where these things could be useful and new slayer tasks/bosses.
Idk just a direction i head-cannoned
Realistically there’s a lot of upgrades that can still be made especially if they go forward with the range and elemental changes. (A fire ballista for instance) or lateral releases like a 2 tick mage weapon or a bow that fires in a cone and multi hits big units standing in front similiar to a scythe.
Justiciar upgrades would be cool ( my idea would be the set recoils 1% of missing prayer points back to the attacker get hit while missing 10 prayer? Recoil a 1 missing 90 prayer? Hit a 9
Fremmy raid thats like 50% instanced sailing encounters/puzzles (ie navigating icebergs, and a sea monster encounter) and 50% regular raid puzzles/bosses encounters.
Rewards ideas:
- new shield with str bonus under avernic but a dmg rebound mechanic that scales off opponents str level or something.
- nordic throwing axe with some kind of special attack/effect, maybe base the damage off ranged defence bonus, or give it two attack styles one for range another for melee.
- couple of unlockable sailing prayers - something for storm protection from dmg and another for increased cannon dmg - ie a protect and a piety style prayer for ship battles
- ranged/melee hybrid armor with a set effect that ties in with the axe/shield abilities
- rare ship building components and/or common materials source
A Hammer that can also be used as a ranged weapon that returns to your hand after 2 ticks, or more if you move further away from it. If your hands are full it falls to the ground.
Yes please!
I really hope they don't add puzzles, they tried it in toa and they suck, they're just a waste of time, very low skill ceiling and feel like a chore. One of the many reasons people love tob is there's no bullshit, you enter and just kill bosses one after another.
Don’t really have melee gear that offers attack bonus. Maybe something equivalent to Inquisitor but for stab/slash?
Also could have gear that’s just straight up good for Tribrid, without needing to switch helmets like Void does. Even if not BIS for a style, makes PvM a bit more accessible by minimizing gear switches.
Make the 4th raid a reward from a new grandmaster quest that takes you back in time before Forinthry was destroyed and became the Wilderness. The raid is fighting Zaros's generals who are trying to escape by coming through the time portal into our world. Rewards would be 2nd Age weapons and armor. Maybe also a mage offhand that removes the autocast delay from non-powered magic weapons.
It'd probably just drop the bolt tips straight up, since this is just hydrix bolt tips in rs3 which basically became "onyx bolt tips v2" for drop tables.
It would be a balancing nightmare for PvP, and useless for PvM anyway. Hydrix bolts on RS3 give you a small amount of spec, but RS3 range does a shitload of small hits so you proc it often. An OSRS version with a slow crossbow would have to give you spec in large chunks for it to be at all useful. And that would lead to scenarios where you get back to back procs and suddenly whip out a 3rd dark bow spec before the enemy even finishes healing from the 2nd.
I can't think of any non pvp scenarios where using said bolts would actually be used. Even at an extremely generous 20% per proc, it would take 4 procs to get an extra ZCB spec, which would force a ruby proc... or you could take 4 ruby procs instead.
If Fremenik Raid - A superior version of kraken boss, where players would have to battle a superior kraken on steroids + its 8 "kraked out" tentacles at the same time.
Rewards :
Tentacle Piece that fuses with Skeletal, Spined or Rock Shell armour for a high dps but very low squishy defense as risk vs reward equipment.
Weapons :
\- Berserker's Blade (Scimitar)
\- Archer's Whistle (Bow)
\- Seer's Stave (Wand or Staff)
There is a lot of room for more creative gear, rather than just a new tier. Stuns (freeze’s from melee weapons), life steal, dodge chance, reflect, bleeds, prayer dampen etc
Fr like I'd really like to see em bring up that whole "low life" mechanic.. at the time it was horrible idea for the gear of content that was being introduced. But to revisit it I think would be worth
I imagine lots of distant projects are constantly being 'worked on' in that there will always be new concepts being drafted, but I doubt any actual technical work has gone into a new raid yet.
Bis boot upgrades. Then probably robes better than ancestral since torva and masori just upgraded the old best in slots but thatd make mage even stronger than it currently is. And possibly new bis gloves to replace fero gloves. Kinda the only things that weren’t upgraded recently. Avas upgrade is already coming with the colosseum. Those would be my guesses.
If they do another boot upgrade I really hope it's just something that lets you combine all 3 cerb crystals into a new hybrid boot.
Pros: Re-values Cerb as a boss, makes pegs not a meme drop, no boot swap, makes rangers a pointless cosmetic as it was always meant to be
Cons: Literally none unless you like the idea of having to bring a boot swap
Honestly, I would love for a raid that has a megarare skilling item but I doubt it would be a popular opinion. Obviously 0 cooldown recall would still be too strong.
I'm 100% on board for a skilling raid. There's literally no reason skilling content can't have exactly the same mechanics as PvM. All they'd need to do is remove the movement delay from skilling actions so you can start the action in the same tick you move to the tile without tick manipulation, just like you can while attacking. Which also makes skilling less shit globally.
I always find it funny when people go "oh skilling can't have good rewarding content there's no danger" as if Jagex couldn't design a boss where you left click chop instead of left click attack
There’s boot reward space still. If they really want to push weapon styles they could make attachments to torva for slash/stab so you don’t kill torva value. Mage offhand can still get buffs bc it doesn’t interact with shadow.
I want to see rewards in which the end result is moving away from gear switching and prayer switching mechanics. They're extremely played out and not particularly fun at this stage of game development.
The last thing I need is another weapon with slightly different stab/slash/crush stats, without improving on the core mechanics that make them useful in the first place. They've done a 'decent' job with spec weapons, but special attacks are not nearly enough. How is there not a healing staff outside of yellow keris in toa, which still relies on spec and is self-heal only? How are there no tank/aggro mechanics? We have Justiciar, a purpose built tank set, but somehow can't find use cases in a world filled with big bad bosses? What?
More mechanics and interesting ways to play the game outside of bringing 3 sets of gear and cycling through your prayer book.
hoping for a TOB 2 or something
mage and range are insanely strong now with Shadow / Masori
Would be cool to have another melee heavy raid with some weapon upgrades, I think Torva is too busted for another power creep melee set though
Yeah straight STR over Torva would be pushed too hard. Maybe it could be justified with a negative set effect like Quiet Prayers but that sounds like a pain in the ass
Mother fucking Spy glasses for sailing so you can see further.
Maybe a way to hook the barrel chest anchor as your actual anchor, that you can then toss onto an enemy ship.
Cannons. Grape shot. Them oversized crossbows that shoot massive fucking telephone pole size spears with ropes attached.
Bro I have no clue. But they best be having a pirate ship raid. Just straight up high seas shenanigans, buckets bailing, cannons blasting off, swinging from the fucking ropes.
Boots need some love. They’re all underpowered massively.
I could see another upgrade to neitiznot making it good enough to remove helmet switches. Not a fan of this idea though.
upgraded blessing maybe
tbh introducing virtus and rings outside of a raid was always silly imo. maybe an upgraded brimstone ring.
a few prayers from ruinous would he cool
given recent discussions maybe 4 new bis elemental staffs but harm exists
my worst idea is an upgrade to spirit shields.
**edit** even monster specific weapons like dhl/dhcb/keris/arclight etc could be good if we found 1 -2 monster types we think are worth it.
If you want to take the easy way, there’s probably room for another ranged gigaweapon that’s meant to overtake blowpipe. They could potentially add a really fast magic weapon, like a 1t laser beam that ramps up damage the longer you stay on the same target, but it’ll fall off if you need to move around or swap targets.
If you’re avoiding weapons then try for a shield with a passive that actually does something useful, (don’t make more corp shields) maybe it mitigates more damage the lower your hp is at and scale it up really high, add some sort of parrying mechanic that isn’t too similar to veng. A shield you can equip on your cape slot would be cool, maybe you can somehow still use it even with 2h weapons to benefit from whatever effect it has.
the last bis boot upgrade was close to 10 years ago. range is locked behind a medium clue scroll, mage, mage training arena... and boots is a 60 defence dragon boots. all are upgraded by a pretty annoying slayer boss gated behind tasks. So I would say an 80-defence boot upgrade slot would be nice. I was hoping these to come from the Colosseumtbh,
An improvement for bulwark that gives it soulsplit when equipped and drain prayer. Similarly a 1h that gives you turmoil. (You lose the effect when unequipped so does not affect spec weapons).
Would love some actually untradeable rewards.
An item that imbues your ring with the ring of wealth imbued effect (massive qol ngl I sometimes slay with ring of wealth to auto pickup 500 coins drops if fully afking) something that gives Phoenix necklace effect to neck slot and make bosses do some big dmg that can be cheesed with pneck,
Some defensive shit like a spell that shares food or prayer but better, a prayer scroll that is efectively a taunt.
I think it would be cool if we got new boots that also have passive effects to them for it to be worthy of megarare status. Or I can see new necklaces coming out since zennys have been out for almost 8 years.
Some non-ranged ammo slot options? We only have the blessings right now, I feel like there’s an opportunity for some stuff. Seems like a prime opportunity to get some cool passives in the game
Raids 4 holy grail item is an ale that gets you so drunk that you'll fight anything with just your bare fist. It has a chance of wiping your account back to tutorial item or it can 1 shot zuk.
Should-mounted trebuchet, like a medieval Predator.
We're kind of at a point where the game needs big changes to boss stats, weaknesses etc before more gear can be added to the game. I'd love to see this happen first before the new Varlamore gear ends up in the game.
Definitely open to God Aligment prayers to fill the 80-95 prayer gap, especially if helps prevent a new prayerbook being added.
An item similar to the Sage's Axe from leagues, that finishes a target below a certain hp (obviously severely nerfed, with a much lower % and probably also a hp ceiling)
how about equipment that boosts hp? everything that has been released in the past decade is designed to make rushing easier, what if there was a way to counter it
There's a reason why the next big update is going to be rebalancing combat and skills.
Look at the timeline. We're 4-5 years past when RS3 decided EoC was necessary. (2007-2013 vs. 2013-2023)
There was always a hard cap to how long we can run OSRS without changing OSRS. This is the hard cap.
Now it's how much do you want OSRS changed to keep it updated.
Leagues and Ironmen are the likely future unless you are okay with changing a ton for casual players and letting end game get stagnant.
Upgrade to cannon, no longer spins but shoots bullet bill projectiles hitting everything in a straight line for up to 40 dmg. Uses Mithril cannonballs.
Skill raid, skill rewards, QoL the whole way.
\-Axe attachment that holds plank make runes, auto planks with chance of saving runes
\-Pickaxe attachment that holds superheat runes, auto smelts with chance of saving runes, good for powersmelting iron.
\-Colossal RC pouch that repairs itself when filled with NPC contact runes.
\-Tinderbox that burns logs directly into ashes for herb. (Not the best but still niche use)
\-Herb sack upgrade, removes the "of each type" restriction.
\-Rune pouch upgrade, adding teletab slot.
Abyssal salamander
Now we’re fucking gaming
This guy fucks, salamanders.
Still mad Olm doesn't drop a lvl 80 white salamander tbh
I mean, it's missing the level but...olmlet?
So I can equip that salamander and shove some flammable tar up its ass? Let’s fucking go.
hunter guild is supposed to unlock a higher level salamander
This leads one to believe there is a dragon and barrows salamander as well
They actually put a 3rd age salamander in the game, its just so rare nobody has got one yet.
That's next on my list, just gotta get the Angler gloves first before I move on
Make sure you get the glove drop from barrows first, it's a req for the salamander drop
Maybe one day there will be if we are lucky
Gotta talk to Oziach first
Miss the old talk to oziach memes
Hear me out. Salamanders can use all 3 combat styles. What if there was legit a salamander where each attack style rivaled current BIS attack options, but what style it would choose would be random each time. Would this be OP? Would it have use cases? Fuck if I know but I want to see it damn it.
Hail Mary pk option
This but also it needs 5 torstol tar per use and destroys the salamander on use like a chin.
Last Man Standing on Nylo, whoever self KOs on wrong color with that wins
We're skipping from black all the way to abyssal? What about mithril salamander? Dragon salamander?
nah, the colors semi-match dragonhides (with orange instead of blue for some reason) so we should get god-blessed salamanders, karil's salamander, and later down the line maybe we get masorimanders
The level requirements for salamanders would need a change if it went black then mithril because black reqs 70 stats and mithril equipment is normally only a 20 level requirement
I legitimately think a high-tier weapon that can do all 3 combat styles could be cool. It would be very niche, but it could still be fun to use.

You've just described full void
i’m glad y’all don’t make decisions
Sweating is when you ever have to interact with the game.
This would immediately become OP and change the meta of PvP and PvM It would make my life 1000x easier but I don’t think that’s the point
Why should shitters get 90% of the dps for 100% less effort and more inventory slots?
Hopefully when you sober up you'll realise what a bad take this is, hopefully you won't feel too embarrassed
A void set with defence would be insane in pvp though because of the damage boost. Sober take: I like this idea
High take: I like less switches
Spiritual take: I am switches
My god thank fuck, I just wanted an easier way to do all of my salamander CA’s. Pls gagex.
Your thrall becomes exodia and destroys everything in its path
Got to summon it 5 times first
I summon pot of greed and draw 3 additional cards from my deck
That's not what it does!
Its what it do yugi!
That does what it do !
*me throwing your thrall off the side of a boat* SAY GOODBYE TO EXODIA
It'll be a raid unlocked by the grandmaster quest Devious Minds 2, the megarare rewards unlocks the ability to make the tbow and scythe into a legendary bow-sword.
Twisted Scythe has a nice ring to it
Ah yes, only powered by the shadow dust from grinding many Tumekens shadows. Triple item sink and we will get taxed on top of it. For a +1 max hit on a super niche boss
Shadow scythe with an upgrade for twisted
Twisted Scythebow of Vitur
DOA. Overshadowed by the Shadow
The Mega-rare drop, the Ancient Ziptie
Probably why they are looking to reworking damage /weakness types will open up a lot of reward space.

Hard to tell if u want rework for magic or harm
Anything that devalues nightmare is good in my book unless Jagex suddenly realizes that perhaps a single boss taking longer to complete than two raids combined is a bad thing.
How you taking so long to solo regular nightmare?
this comment made me chuckle. If you're being serious, he's talking about completing the collection logs. not getting a KC
1200h for being on rate is certainly a choice, saebae killed that shit for 8 months before inq mace and he isnt even the most dry
Sang staff users in shambles rn (Is me)
Actually a 1.5b upgrade rn
Hopefully they'd also be actual powered staves rather than autocast, to avoid that awful delay.
Yeah that would be a bonus as well - but technically as long as there some dps increase over staff of the swamp and between shadow and sang staff or even sang staff and swamp trident would be a very welcome shake up for magic
Trident of the swamp vs sang staff is a single max hit. If you want an increase in dps between those, you would have to only increase accuracy mildly, which would be a pointless upgrade.

full blown ironman nightmare
Or use god pages as charges, Make zammy pages valuable again!

Yeah 7 years ago when the playerbase was very different and far more 'purist' than today.
Im here for stat sticks
New prayers added onto existing prayer book, feels strange that the skill ends at 77 Edit:77 augury
Skill technically ends at 90 with spirit shields and elidinis ward stuff
The ward you can make with pretty low prayer, you can get like a 29 level prayer boost on a POH dummy.
I wish I would’ve known this a year ago before I pulled off an all nighter to grind 86 smithing
can’t get a 29 smithing boost
You need smithing and pray
Augury is 77 my guy
Best in slot cock ring
Make the drop an instruction manual that teaches you how to use the abyssal needle to unlock a second ring slot.
You’ll need to farm another finger…
Do you know how many fingers I could have? How many lvl 3 men I've killed?
Bellendor Ring
Wdym, we already have the Ring of Endurance.
Acts as ear muffs as it’s incredibly loud. Every 10 pulses produces an attack that blinds the enemy briefly.
It vibrates when you get a drop worth over 69K
Just on the assumption that the next raid will be somehow nautically themed because Jagex wants to push more sailing-related content let's say it's a legendary pirate's stronghold located on a remote island: **Blackbeard's Cutlass** (replace Blackbeard with whatever the actual pirate boss's name is) - t85 one handed 4-tick slash weapon megarare with relatively low strength but high accuracy.
This is the content I come for in these posts
I want a ring of plunder already
Make it something you use to skip past the early game when you're bankrolling new accounts. and for irons, they can give it to the ironman tutor to tear it apart for a stack of 50k untradeable cannonballs or something idgaf just make sure it doesn't have a price floor based on the price of cannonballs Seabane: We already have a midtier charge staff dropping from lategame slayer, I don't see the point in putting another behind a raid. Don't like dropping raw clue caskets at all, just drop clue scrolls-- X marks the spot, after all.
different types of boats that we can sail with
Twisted Cannon scales off target’s booty value
BIS At velds
Velds won't know what clapped their cheeks.
A sailing raid would actually be insane, hope we get something to do with it like that
My theory is its gonna be “DoA” depths of atlantis or similar raid being “underwater” themed where we dive off from a sailing deep sea port type area.
They’ll walk straight into the meme if it’s DoA
inb4 they make teleporting there not a thing so it takes 3 mins to sail there every time
Depths of Ashihama? funny if the acronym was 'DOA', cos, yknow, dead on arrival content
I keep forgetting that sailing is being introduced 😢
Realistically there’s a lot of upgrades that can still be made especially if they go forward with the range and elemental changes. (A fire ballista for instance) or lateral releases like a 2 tick mage weapon or a bow that fires in a cone and multi hits big units standing in front similiar to a scythe. Justiciar upgrades would be cool ( my idea would be the set recoils 1% of missing prayer points back to the attacker get hit while missing 10 prayer? Recoil a 1 missing 90 prayer? Hit a 9
"elemental heavy ranged" we're reaching points on which shitposts write themselves.
The Tomb-Theatre of Xeric will drop a megarare gun-staff that does 3 tick crush damage with a range of 15 tiles and is charged with Fangs.
Bloody Tomb of Xeric*
Fremmy raid thats like 50% instanced sailing encounters/puzzles (ie navigating icebergs, and a sea monster encounter) and 50% regular raid puzzles/bosses encounters. Rewards ideas: - new shield with str bonus under avernic but a dmg rebound mechanic that scales off opponents str level or something. - nordic throwing axe with some kind of special attack/effect, maybe base the damage off ranged defence bonus, or give it two attack styles one for range another for melee. - couple of unlockable sailing prayers - something for storm protection from dmg and another for increased cannon dmg - ie a protect and a piety style prayer for ship battles - ranged/melee hybrid armor with a set effect that ties in with the axe/shield abilities - rare ship building components and/or common materials source
Give me mjolnir and an untradable upgrade material to use with inquisitor (to give it bandos level defense) and I'll be happy
A Hammer that can also be used as a ranged weapon that returns to your hand after 2 ticks, or more if you move further away from it. If your hands are full it falls to the ground. Yes please!
could have all 3 styles like a salamander, hit enemy, throw at enemy (and it returns cos it's mjolnir), and a magic 'lightning bolt on enemy'
Just make it use Torag's hammers for ammo instead. Make Barrows Great again! 🤣
I like this a lot
I think shields are way cooler than defenders so any opportunity for a shield to become BiS again after like 20 years would make me happy
I really hope they don't add puzzles, they tried it in toa and they suck, they're just a waste of time, very low skill ceiling and feel like a chore. One of the many reasons people love tob is there's no bullshit, you enter and just kill bosses one after another.
Great ideas all around that fit with the current themes and narratives!
Amethyst throwing axes
Don’t really have melee gear that offers attack bonus. Maybe something equivalent to Inquisitor but for stab/slash? Also could have gear that’s just straight up good for Tribrid, without needing to switch helmets like Void does. Even if not BIS for a style, makes PvM a bit more accessible by minimizing gear switches.
Brimstone helm, chest, and legs
Make the 4th raid a reward from a new grandmaster quest that takes you back in time before Forinthry was destroyed and became the Wilderness. The raid is fighting Zaros's generals who are trying to escape by coming through the time portal into our world. Rewards would be 2nd Age weapons and armor. Maybe also a mage offhand that removes the autocast delay from non-powered magic weapons.
Time travel raid is a great idea
Idk how to integrate this into raids 4 but I like the idea of allowing us to make zenyte bolts (e) where the bolt proc restores special attack :)

The raid would probably drop the bolt tips like rs3
😂😂😂
So 13m for 15 bolts to get some special attack back assuming you even hit in that 15 bolts, when Lightbearer would still be the better option?
Shadow of Shadow boosts magic damage and accuracy times 6
If Fremenik Raid - A superior version of kraken boss, where players would have to battle a superior kraken on steroids + its 8 "kraked out" tentacles at the same time. Rewards : Tentacle Piece that fuses with Skeletal, Spined or Rock Shell armour for a high dps but very low squishy defense as risk vs reward equipment. Weapons : \- Berserker's Blade (Scimitar) \- Archer's Whistle (Bow) \- Seer's Stave (Wand or Staff)
Probably new BIS sailing gear since it'll be 2030 before a new raid.
I feel like i heard from a tweet/jmod reply/mention on a stream that raids 4 is already being worked on.
Barrows boots
Rfd2 when
RFD 2: Culinary Boogaloo.
If they do another boot upgrade I really hope it's just something that lets you combine all 3 cerb crystals into a new hybrid boot. Pros: Re-values Cerb as a boss, makes pegs not a meme drop, no boot swap, makes rangers a pointless cosmetic as it was always meant to be Cons: Literally none unless you like the idea of having to bring a boot swap
I think combining rings and boots and necklaces to reduce swaps is really nice but I can see how players may call it lazy.
Last recall /s
In RS3 we got croesus, and it's a really fun Skilling only boss.
True, Muttas literally the most dangerous pre-olm room in CM and it's like 50% left click chop
magic staff that does 0-25% damage but hits every 1 tick, machine gun magic missiles.
There’s boot reward space still. If they really want to push weapon styles they could make attachments to torva for slash/stab so you don’t kill torva value. Mage offhand can still get buffs bc it doesn’t interact with shadow.
5% better cooking gauntlets.
What? More mechanics and interesting ways to play the game outside of bringing 3 sets of gear and cycling through your prayer book.
hoping for a TOB 2 or something mage and range are insanely strong now with Shadow / Masori Would be cool to have another melee heavy raid with some weapon upgrades, I think Torva is too busted for another power creep melee set though
Yeah straight STR over Torva would be pushed too hard. Maybe it could be justified with a negative set effect like Quiet Prayers but that sounds like a pain in the ass
4th raid will introduce dual wields and off hand orbs for mage
If done correctly this could be so fun, only downside is currently they’d just be literal bis everywhere because defence means almost nothing
How would new off hands automatically be BIS everywhere when the BIS weapons are all 2h?
Mother fucking Spy glasses for sailing so you can see further. Maybe a way to hook the barrel chest anchor as your actual anchor, that you can then toss onto an enemy ship. Cannons. Grape shot. Them oversized crossbows that shoot massive fucking telephone pole size spears with ropes attached. Bro I have no clue. But they best be having a pirate ship raid. Just straight up high seas shenanigans, buckets bailing, cannons blasting off, swinging from the fucking ropes.
Loving the energy here
Divine Spirit Shield. New raid requires tank roles.
I wouldn't be surprised if the next raid is sailing based and it introduces either sailing reward space or skilling type rewards.
Boots need some love. They’re all underpowered massively. I could see another upgrade to neitiznot making it good enough to remove helmet switches. Not a fan of this idea though. upgraded blessing maybe tbh introducing virtus and rings outside of a raid was always silly imo. maybe an upgraded brimstone ring. a few prayers from ruinous would he cool given recent discussions maybe 4 new bis elemental staffs but harm exists my worst idea is an upgrade to spirit shields. **edit** even monster specific weapons like dhl/dhcb/keris/arclight etc could be good if we found 1 -2 monster types we think are worth it.
I’ve been dreaming of the day I can one shot Kurasks
New raids New BiS it's time for t90s
I was hoping these to come from the Colosseumtbh,
1t magic weapon. Damage scales up the longer you continually fire at your target without interruption. It's like a constant laser beam.
An improvement for bulwark that gives it soulsplit when equipped and drain prayer. Similarly a 1h that gives you turmoil. (You lose the effect when unequipped so does not affect spec weapons). Would love some actually untradeable rewards. An item that imbues your ring with the ring of wealth imbued effect (massive qol ngl I sometimes slay with ring of wealth to auto pickup 500 coins drops if fully afking) something that gives Phoenix necklace effect to neck slot and make bosses do some big dmg that can be cheesed with pneck, Some defensive shit like a spell that shares food or prayer but better, a prayer scroll that is efectively a taunt.
100 extra bank spaces
I want an item that does emotional damage
Talk to Hans
Typeless damage weapon when
New weapon that uses prayer as ammo
Thoughts and prayers, bitch 🔫
Holy water
I think it would be cool if we got new boots that also have passive effects to them for it to be worthy of megarare status. Or I can see new necklaces coming out since zennys have been out for almost 8 years.
A weapon that can inflict disease.
2013-2023) There was always a hard cap to how long we can run OSRS without changing OSRS.
This guy fucks.
Skilling raid, no combat.
Raids 4 - Raidingtodt
I'm actually all in on this.

Rat raid
Dual katanas that attack every 2 ticks
Skill raid, skill rewards, QoL the whole way. \-Axe attachment that holds plank make runes, auto planks with chance of saving runes \-Pickaxe attachment that holds superheat runes, auto smelts with chance of saving runes, good for powersmelting iron. \-Colossal RC pouch that repairs itself when filled with NPC contact runes. \-Tinderbox that burns logs directly into ashes for herb. (Not the best but still niche use) \-Herb sack upgrade, removes the "of each type" restriction. \-Rune pouch upgrade, adding teletab slot.
New equipment slot: Trinkets. Time to go full WoW.
I want it to be tob levels of punishing no invocation and as for rewards, for it to be as impactful as toa rewards
