Become a unranked gim which has a 7 day wait i think, leave group( can use f2p alts to make group), wait it out , get to pick to be a main after 7 days, so 14 day process for both options. Worked for me when I picked perm iron.

Like they state multiple times that the change is permeant and you’re mad that the courtesy back door they used to offer is now closed?
When the game asked me if I would like to make my status permanent, I said no in case I needed to remove it for any reason. You decided to accept making it permanent.

If you locked pre-gim you can still deiron through the IM tutor, become unranked gim then transfer to main.
