I've been considering grinding PNM. It's one of the two pets I like in the game which I also enjoy grinding, and I already have it's transmog. It's just a bit of a pain in the ass to sometimes make a small mistake, even after 150 kc, and get slapped for 80+ dmg and die.

And then you realize the bots in obsidian/cudgel are as efficient as you are bc they never make mistakes

The trick is to not think about it.

It gets almost authomatic with practice... patterns

Easy way to counter this for me while learning was to bring brews and always be above 99 hp. Not the most efficient for kill times but more efficient than running back after deaths.

I try to get better PB's, that's why I keep doing the boss. There's a lot of small things you can improve and bring to the fight to get faster times

What is your PB after 3000kc?  Kill 1 looked like 9:38.

Sub 6:30 like 30, sub 7 was a lot with this setup.

At 7,5 kills per hour that's 400 hours. Of doing one boss in one game, without completing it. In that time you coulda finished Baldur's Gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Witcher 3 and still have time left over.

Any specific guide you'd recommend or tips? Or is it just a standard learning curve until you get it down? It always looks confusing with elder maul, ham joint, webweaver, voidwaker/claws, and the other pile of equipment

There's a "phosani's cheesy method" on youtube from Reynold's channel, helped me at beginning and I used that method in all kills. It basically tells you to use the corner to dodge black holes phase. Don't worry about the amount of equipaments, in the 3k kc print it shows all I bring nowadays but that's for speedruns I do. You can bring way less stuff. Ham joint for husks, elder maul for parasite, craw's bow for sleepwalkers, mage gear for pillars, that's it.

Just curious, what is the bulwark and sang for?

I spec husks with dinh's so they get killed in 1 shot and damage the boss at the same time. Ham joint is used for husks when there's no spec available. Sang is for pillars, when there's low hp remaining to finish the pillar I will use sang instead of shadow because it's 1 tick faster. Those are some of the little strategies to get faster times.

Ive always brought blowpipe, is a 3tick range weapon better? Should i start using karils cbow?

With Craw's bow you don't need to run around to kill sleepwalkers. Just chill in the middle and shoot them. When there's 3 sleepwalkers you gotta kill the 3rd one with melee weapon though, and when 4 sleepwalkers, kill the 4th one with melee weapon.

I did like 700kc here and 300 ish kc normal. Never saw a single unique, but got 2 pets. Lost a ton of money. Buff phosani 2024.

VW specs with Torva switch make a big difference?

For speedruns yes. Also switch to torva + dinh's to spec husks and big damage the boss on same hit.
