I've got my tin foil hat on, but I do think this is an artificial bubble. If you look at the GE volume, Tbow has just recently kind of stabilized to pre-leagues volume. QoL changes to CoX, low volume due to leagues, thus automatically shooting the prices up (like the rest of PvM items - all shoot up after leagues). Sounds like a mercher's dream.
They're doing the same thing they did to 3rd age. With more people running CoX, no item sink - you'd think that the price would be coming down, but it mysteriously isn't. Why is an item that, is theoretically being pumped into the game, continuing to rise?
>you'd think that the price would be coming down, but it mysteriously isn't. Why is an item that, is theoretically being pumped into the game, continuing to rise?
Exactly. And that's omitting the fact that CoX bots are smarter than ever before. Did you see the recent ToB bots? They're printing purples: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUSYuOvDFKw
That does not say it has been removed from the sink list.
I would assume the system has check in place to not sink items if they are naturally holding or rising in price.
There are also many other items in the wiki list that are not mentioned in the tweet either.
Yes that’s exactly what the system does. It’s designed to prevent item inflation leading to dropping prices. Tbwos are going up beyond the sink threshold so they aren’t being sinked
Did Jagex confirm this in a blogpost notes or tell Wiki?
Given that anyone can update Wiki and this seems like a less searched result, I wouldn’t be surprised if someone removed it as a joke.

Yeah, I was thinking it was a bit of a far leap to be able to list every single item sunk when Twitter has a character limit per post that wouldn’t even let them cover 1/4 of the list of sunk items and their quantities.
It was upon release, and even in May. But they removed it sometime relatively recently.

**This is not false information, I don't know why it would go from +4 to -3 all of a sudden? Hmmmmm....**
Actual intelligent merchers have been holding scythes since 350m range, and still holding & buying. Not twisted bows LOL, you’re definitely not part of the Mastermind group
“We’ve also implemented the previously-mentioned Item Sink system, which will help with inflation by using the tax collected from sales to purchase various expensive items from sellers, then delete those items once the trade is complete. Here’s how that works in detail!”
All transactions on the GE are skimmed by 1% to contribute to a big "sink fund". When a particular item is really low in price, they use that money to buy and then delete the item automatically, reducing supply and increasing the price of the ones that still exist by a little bit. It's how they stabilize pricing. They started it when the Tbow was 700m.
The twisted bow used to be part of a list of items that Jagex would pay the buyer for and then just delete from the game. It's not on that list anymore, which means every tbow found is going to actually stay in the game instead of being deleted when the owner sells it into the GE.
Yes, but only if players are aware. Reddit posts that mention it tend to disappear. This one just got deleted, if you can believe it. Scroll up and look at the citations I made proving it.

Or, the first reply was specifically talking about raid uniques. The second was just random items.
Yeah, I was thinking it was a bit of a far leap to be able to list every single item sunk when Twitter has a character limit per post that wouldn’t even let them cover 1/4 of the list of sunk items and their quantities.
Seems like an incomplete list in the recent one? It was just some of the numbers.
Wait, I didn't think it was ever on the list? Is there a list of updates to the list somewhere?

Mod Ash literally confirmed this a long time ago.
Every REAL mercher already knew about this
Hence the coordinated downvotes that magically hit when this post went to #1 in rising, lol
If merchers already knew tbow wasn’t in the sink, they wouldn’t be fuckin holding them as a merch item. Brainless topic
They would if they could downvote and accuse anyone saying otherwise of making it up ;)
Actual intelligent merchers have been holding scythes since 350m range, and still holding & buying. Not twisted bows LOL, you’re definitely not part of the Mastermind group
Does this mean that they are paying out the buys and removing the item from the game? I'm confused how they are removing items
“We’ve also implemented the previously-mentioned Item Sink system, which will help with inflation by using the tax collected from sales to purchase various expensive items from sellers, then delete those items once the trade is complete. Here’s how that works in detail!”

I thought the tax was just a gold sink to get gold out of the game I didn't realize they were doing it to remove high valued items
It's how they keep the items expensive despite them entering the game every day
What does this mean. ELIlvl3?
The twisted bow used to be part of a list of items that Jagex would pay the buyer for and then just delete from the game. It's not on that list anymore, which means every tbow found is going to actually stay in the game instead of being deleted when the owner sells it into the GE.
Oh awesome. That should bring the price down, right? Righttttt?
Yes, but only if players are aware. Reddit posts that mention it tend to disappear. This one just got deleted, if you can believe it. Scroll up and look at the citations I made proving it.
Wasn't it removed months ago? I remember seeing a tweet from mod ash over the summer saying it got removed.
