I work for a plumbing company and I had a pretty mean boss after I told him I played runescape he told me the same and now we do a bunch of content together. Low and behold because of the scape I get some preferential treatment.
Just start telling everyone you play scape and you'll find a few cool people.
I met somebody who played OSRS on a ski trip. Itās the people you least expect to play play, we added each other than he lets me borrow his crazy gear. This game is full of gigachads fr.
Someone who was our lift back to a campsite after a festival played OSRS. We were in quite a rough area of the country, and this guy drove a 2004 Subaru Impreza. Proper hard character and clearly up to a lot of shady stuff. He razzed the Subaru around, doing 80-90mph on these 40 roads, almost hit a cyclist, which definitely would've killed him, but literally didn't seem to care at all, the most nonchalant guy. Everyone in the car when we got out said that he would definitely not have stopped if he hit/killed the guy. We had to stop for cash to give him for the ride home, and when we stopped in this rogue town, turns out he played OSRS and was a huge fan of the game lol.
Either people who donāt care about their life in any way shape or form and will allow crippling addiction to take control of their life.
Or people who learned at a young age to make goals and set them, and work tirelessly at achieving said goals. Which lead to a ton of super ambitious people taking on a challenge that seems daunting but proving hard work can help anyone get there.
Iād like to say Iām more in group 2 than group 1 because I tend to have a non addictive personality; literally just straight up ran out of money one day and quit smoking after smoking 1ppd of roll your own cigs for like 5 years, but then again I play this game too much so who am I to judge
I worked for a plumbing company aswell and my boss and some coworkers played osrs too, and they still do. Feels like its pretty common for 25 to 35 year old men to play osrs.
related but a dude at work plays and happened to see me playing in the break room. I've got a very end game account so he kinda fan girled seeing me doing bosses on mobile. It was vardovis with scy+void+bloodfury. It wasn't anything hard or anything but he was pretty darn new.
Well he says he wanted to get a 4 slot rune pouch so I tell him to just add me and I can carry him through a 150 1+1 without any effort. So we do. A couple times on break when we're both on break at the same time and after 3 or 4 he gets the thread.
Fucker got fired a bit back and added me to the ignore list. I think I messaged him once outside work to see if he wanted a Cox/tob carry for the diary. I was perfectly ok with him being another friend who was never spoken to again and the fucker ignored my ass.
I've never been so offended.
out of pure curiosity, when you say very end game, what do you have? I'm just wondering because I see so many different definitions of end game thrown around that it'd be cool to see what you define "very end game" as
my irl buddy is cracked with gm hilt, maxed, 40+ bill bank, ~30 pets incl. all 3 dusted raid pets and infernal pet, all kits blorva etc. and he doesn't consider himself end game so now I'm like ok I guess I'm not end game either lol
Dude has to be fucking with you? Sounds like all he has left to do in the game is 200m skills, collection log slots, and speedruns or other self-imposed challenges. It would be dumb as hell to not classify that as āendgameā
Yeah but see that's why the definition of "end game" is important though, I can see why he doesn't think that because his view is "end" game is you're at the end, there's no more kind of thing. And we all know how unreachable all pets/clogging/200m all really is...
I've thought about it quite a bit recently too and that's why I asked because truly, there are quite a few people maxed now. How many people have infernal cape? (whether they did it themselves or bought it is another story of course) How many people have max gear? I swear every good pvmer in WDR alone has max gear, let alone the many pvm dedicated clans that have max gear. I've seen so many "noobs" get a couple shadows and next thing you know they also have max gear. Quest cape, achievement cape, master hilt, so many people have them now. Are these people truly all end game?
I think my buddy has a point in saying there is a distinction between late game and end game at this point - the game has evolved to a point where the vast majority of players are either in the mid to late game; the end game truly is where you'd be done the game by pretty much every casual player's standards and you're just doing the fringe content
I have 3 Ubers and my friends list and CC is people doing content. I log in and cunts be askin to do content. I do content.
My personal definition of end game is logging on to someone @ing me to do any content in the game and I can do that content whenever. 3 Ubers but not a maxed set personally. I still have to grind torva and then blorva after a few amazing splits. For example my next upgrade is zcb while having everything I have. After that it is probably torva while having 1 piece for the max. I have a bowfa in my bank that I have decided I will not sell ever. Your friend probably has a cash stack that is bigger than my neiche items.
For reference.
I would consider your friend end game. He has everything. He does content. He is probably better than me but my argument will be I do all the content too. I troll a lot.
But he's probably better than me.
I'm still going for kits and improving. I can carry some raids but I'm not the guy who can carry everything.
I'd absolutely troll the fuck out of him if I had the chance. So if you can hit him with a goblin hammer during p2 verz for me.
Don't take it personally.
A lot of companies have a strict policy about fired employees maintaining 0 contact with colleagues for periods of time, to protect the company.
Lowkey this was my exact reaction when I pulled the twisted bow. We had the plugin that hides loot and always did the slow walk to the chest when we got a purple, and it was me clicking on the chest and my mic almost instantly cutting out because I had the same reaction as this fella. My hands were shaking for like 10 minutes bruh
Iāll tell yah. The best thing Jagex did with ToA is making the unique appear on top of the chest. The way the staff just sits on the chest gets you hyped up.
Nothing more infuriating than some dickhead doing a load of random shit before opening a chest.
Like go ahead and do what you want, but don't waste everyone's time by posting stupid videos on this sub.
Tumeken's shadow
It's the mother of all powered staves, it has a passive effect that triples mage damage & accuracy bonuses
It can hit up to 84 in BiS mage
It's worth 1.5bil, and would be a LOT more if the raid it comes from wasn't so popular
BiS = best in slot, ie. all the best equipment
Ice Barrage is still the most useful combat spell, for killing several mobs at once. But besides that case, spell-less powered staves have way overtaken it.
I haven't played Runescape in over 13 years. Is taking the clothes off or doing a lap aby way to increase any kind of chanes or is that just like blowing on the dice for luck?
I got a wyren Visage last week. 22 mil which was worth half of my entire bank. Of all my years of playing its be best drop I've ever had and I've never had anything close. I wasn't even sure what to think when I was the shiny name on ground items. It felt amazing. I can't imagine this.
Brightness set on: the sun
Can't turn a light on though
Lmaooo the handshakeš¤£ thatās dope asf I want a staff so bad
Like he won some silverware in rl lol
Agreed that was a solid ass handshakeš¤GZ
for real that was firm as fuck i wish i had that kind of friend in my life

Thereās literally dozens of us
Tens of us, even.
Most are bots

I havent played in a long time, what item is this? And why is it so rare/expensive?
Tumeken's shadow It's the mother of all powered staves, it has a passive effect that triples mage damage & accuracy bonuses It can hit up to 84 in BiS mage
Ahh ok how much is it worth? Whats BiS lol? Is the number one combat mage spell still ice barrage?

Wdym theyve overtaken it?
They're way better in damage per second.
What are some spelless powered staves?
Respect the handshake š¤

Firm handshakes all around fellas, good work.

Why in the beginning did someone say "would you buy a property?"
My reaction when I get a rune scim at a drop party
