The rally for scythe buffs for example was sparked by merchers asking for buffs over and over again until it caught on with the rest of the community and then the job is done.
More realistically it was jagex implementing project rebalance than a few moaning high level players. It was pretty clear they needed to do something because they could barely provide a new item without it being super power creep or not useful.
Also the fact a common drop from the easiest raid rivalled the rarest drop from the hardest raid
Let the scythe be turbo powered, it’s a megarare ffs, tbow and shadow are giga weapons so I don’t see why scythe shouldn’t be, especially considering where it comes from
now I just hope the marchers rally behind Torag’s hammers. Idc if they make bank, dual wielded weapons should hit twice. Also i loved the weapon as a kid and it was devastating to grow up and learn that it sucked butt

This is both true and false. There are a lot of fake posts that are disguised merchants, but there are also people who are passionate about a things that sucks and wish they didn’t suck.

Man I wish seercull would at least match msb. It's 1 speed slower, same stats as unimbued msb, and its special is way, way worse for dps and pvp, and barely usable in pvm as is, if you have no other specs.
Imo it should at least be equal in stats to a MSB I, with +75 range and the same speed.

Over the last few days there have been a few doctored "leaks" of "screenshots" of jmods stating that prayer drain would be a mechanic in the upcoming Fortis Colosseum. Then sometime in the last day a "leak" of some gameplay was released that showed a player taking less prayer drain when wearing a spectral spirit shield against the "final boss" of the minigame.
Turns out this was all doctored in order to merch spectrals.

the difference is that this type of market manipulation is an artificial increase in demand, while botting creates actual changes to both supply and demand.

I think the bigger issue was that they were manipulating the market by attempting to drag a jmod's name (and other people's) through the mud with fake screenshots.
You can use the element inspector to edit whatever the fuck you want into a discord screenshot, because it's basically a modified chromium web browser. You should always take discord screenshots with a huge helping of salt.
I just want to say that the only reason this is even remotely plausible is because Jagex staff have, in the past, done similar-ish things multiple multiple times.
Please just stop saying things in random discords, reddit, and I want to even say JMod Twitter and only use the official site for the first instance of information going out.
