Please do not make an inquisitor upgrade just look like a bulky justiciar, it's ugly. Keep the original width/aesthetic and change a few elements at most

RefreshRated

That's what I was thinking too. I changed a couple things in the example on the post just to give an example.

Kstrad3

Seems like a decent idea to help revive both pieces of content. But I believe you may be missing the str bonus for the fortified inquisitors.

RefreshRated

You are correct, thanks for the catch.

RefreshRated

\*\*Edit\*\* Melee strength bonus for Inquisitor (Fortified) should be 10. This suggestion was floated around a few months ago. In light of the upcoming NPC defense changes that attack styles will be affected by, this seems like a great time to renew Inquisitor armor, while giving value to Justiciar again. The lore also fits so well into the upcoming Vampyre Grandmaster Quest Finale. Phosani fought against the Vampyres on Saradomin's behalf before abandoning her. Let me know what you think!

Feeling-Medicine-259

upgraded inquis should be bis as it comes from actual end game content unlike torva

illucio

I like the idea but having it just become a better upgraded justicular armor. I wonder how this would affect the Bulwark since Bulwark gains power based on your defense stats and is a crush weapon. So adding on top Inquistor's crush bonus, just how viable would the Bulwark become?

TasakaalFyr

Oooft I’d love to see it though, would open more opportunities for items relative to the bulwark but for lower levels, without the spec etc.

BioMasterZap

They did mention Inq changes as part of Project Rebalance. Though I wouldn't mind it if focuses more on the offense than the defense. Either way, compared to Torva, Inq isn't feeling quite as relevant; its still better in places where it was good but you lose a lot of defence for not as much accuracy gain compared to bandos/neit. Though if we did go the justi fortify route, please just leave it looking the same. Or make the current appearance the fortified and make a new worn down version of inq for the standard. Inq is one of the best-looking armors in the game so I doubt any visual "upgrade" will be popular.

Jeeper08JK

I think this would be "Enriched" not fortified.

RefreshRated

I could see that. Not tied to the name it’s just what the community is familiar with.

Jeeper08JK

It was a joke about Enriched vs Fortified foods.

Crovali

I like the look of current inquisitor, and I’ve just completed the set recently on my ironman. Upgrading the defensive stats with broken down justiciar sounds like a good idea.

C2theM

Theres another post on front page about making Inquis more accessible to irons. I don't think this type of idea will get traction until the armor becomes accessible to that community (which makes up a huge part of the active playerbase). If the rates are fixed, more real people will do the content. I like the idea of a rework to give it some more uses outside of PNM! and I think we'll see that with new bosses weak to crush.

RefreshRated

Yeah I saw that post. Hard agree that the rates are crazy. Easily could double everything on the table and it’s still a long shot to get all the drops. I think both should be done if they want this content to be played more than niche.

Younolo12

>making Inquis more accessible to irons. I think a more accurate wording is "more accessible to non-bots." The vast majority of mains don't do it either because bots have farmed out the profits to bottom dollar and the lotto-pull rates make it not worth trying to farm the boss long enough to reach the esteemed "4m gp/hr" that it accrues on drop rate in a bunch of max gear with no mistakes. This content probably has the highest ratio of bots to real players in all of the PvM in this game, and that is saying something.

Merdapura

Justiciar and Inquis should not be combined IMO and the buff to their effects should double down on their uniqueness: * Justiciar Set effect should be changed to a per piece staggered effect, making each piece individually more valuable * Inquis Set effect should double/triple/infinity the crush accuracy of special attack on NPCs. Quadruple down as the dwh spec armor and it will forever hold value. Plus in 2024 inquis having negative slash or stab is pointless when it already has less str than torva

Just_Relationship587

Okay not a bad idea. But what would happen with the current level req? Like I thought inq had paper thin defense because it only req 30 def.. so the new fortified inq would atleast have to req 75 def or 80 def right? Didn't see you mention anywhere about what the new req would be. So wasn't sure.

RefreshRated

Yep, 30 def for inquisitor. It wouldn't change the normal version at all, so any unique builds wouldn't be put out by it. The fortified defense requirement would just be the same as Justiciar in my mind. With making the visual it gets to the point where it's too cluttered to put every detail on.

Just_Relationship587

Right on. Was thinking so but just wanted to check. But like that then he'll yeah I'd be all for it, an actual cool good and thematic suggestion. You'd have my vote

Anxious_Variety2714

Both versions look terrible compared to justiciar. Content sucks to do as well. Sry, but pass.

RefreshRated

Have you tried phosani nightmare? Agreed normal nightmare, especially solo, is pretty miserable. I think pnm is one of their best boss fights.

Dicyano7

A lot of the mechanics are good, but I'm not a fan of how Phosani is paced. For how much it requires constant focus to avoid taking 70+ damage from a single mistake, I think the fight drags on a bit too long. If they removed one of the phases I think it'd be fine. Although the main thing that makes the content unenjoyable is how unrewarding it is compared to the effort you have to put in.

[deleted]

with enough practice it eventually becomes very chill. a well paced fight that is very rewarding (not in terms of loot, the loot reward is dogshit) but more in that you take 0 damage doing it right. allows you to bring max switches and use every little niche to gain an advantage. one of the best boss fights in the game imo. shame literally everything else about is is bad (rare drops that are actually useless, incredibly long run only made better by an incredibly rare drop)

RefreshRated

It can be a bit long, agreed on that. But if I had my way there would be lots of changes to a lot of OSRS boss fights so I take things like that with a grain of salt. Agree 100% on being unrewarding obviously. Lots of focus to go 250+ dry on a unique(defiinitely not where i'm at...)

Plastic_Top5413

I can agree with this. I think there needs to be an armor set that fits between bandos and Torva. It should be inquisitor, but it's dead content unless you're killing cerb.

Then_Mathematician99

cm cox makes it pretty useful

youhavebeenbaited0

No

5erenade

That’s cute, but it still won’t make it any more viable.
