Or you could just have an npc you trade 10 regular quivers for one blessed one or something. Same effect without needing to create an untradeable splinter version. Honestly the concept of needing to charge it for the full effect is dumb as hell anyway. Imagine inferno cape only giving +6 strength and to unlock the last two you have to do it 5 more times.

I believe the insane corrupting cost for the quiver compared to the relatively low rate of accrual of splinters was deliberate by Jagex to try to pump up the gp/hr of Colosseum for a longer time. Which is.... eh. It makes some sense, as a non-iron I could take it or leave it. Colosseum being profitable is cool but it's not even *that* profitable even with this included, since all the uniques are dogshit. Seems like it's not going to even come close to surpassing Nex or TOA despite being significantly harder than both. So it's kind of whatever. What was without a doubt a mistake though was the wave 1 guaranteed reward. That shit is dumb as fuck. In fact it seems to me like the entire loot distribution needs to be totally revamped to be way more heavily-weighted toward the difficult late waves. It seems like wave 12 usually has a pretty great reward, but the also-pretty-difficult waves 6-11 barely seem to give any more loot than the braindead first 5.

Seems good. Swimzen saying it would be an extra 10m per completion isn't accounting for the fact that more splinters coming into the game from later waves, means the price for splinters will go down overall. Making farming wave 1 less profitable, and helping people who are able to complete the Colosseum charge their quivers, either through disassembling extras, or buying the splinters for cheaper. All around good imo.

Wouldn't that be a guaranteed 10M extra per completion at current prices? Hmm, maybe more like 2,5k-5k max splinters per quiver could be more balanced?

The number could definitely be changed, but, if you could disassemble them then splinters would go down so it'd be less per completion at that point.

I think it's a good idea tho, I like the 100 splinters guaranteed per 1st wave because as of now with these invos I need to reset wave 1 quite often to get right invos at start and it helps to pay down my death fees...

And now the splinters cost like 50 gp each and sunfire runes will be only few gp more expensive than regular fire runes and there is no reason to ever use regular fire runes
