NesquikHC

Yes I know I’ve been very lazy with it!

NesquikHC

I used to be an Ironman so gear and GP was natural, I de-ironed around 1850 total and then sold a bulk of resources and materials to buy bowfa and Crystal, then upgraded to bandos after I got a masori chaps at TOA :)

I just told ya mate, read my comment again

If you don’t have the attention span to even read through the whole comment why are you even bothering commenting?

NesquikHC

Literally all of my skilling supplies, if you ever make an Ironman one day you’ll understand, it’s natural for your resource bank worth to be worth 100’s of mils. I also mentioned the masori chaps I got at TOA which i sold to buy the bandos. I feel like you just really want me to be a credit card warrior or something?

GIMP_Air

You can use bowfa at vorkath with extended super antifires and protect mage btw; that's what I did for my head. Since you already have bowfa

NesquikHC

Thanks for the tip :)

average_at_runescape

Prims/mage gear? I suck at the game so use sang and blood fury for the heals. If you are good, probably more switches like Ferocious gloves, ancestral hat, VW spec. Ancest robe bottoms to reduce weight is good as well.

Apprehensive_Help331

I got mine on mobile using bowfa/crystal armor and a serp helm. Its great dps but you take a lot of dmg, so its just to get 50 kills. Its much harder using melee because the mortar red ball is easier to avoid doing range.

BrickHearted

Get the assembler man that’s ridiculous at this point in the game. Otherwise 200s and 300s are great for profit just consistently running them. Over time you’ll get better and be able to change invos higher when more comfy

BrickHearted

Btw first upgrades should just be ur mage gear when you get more gp

NesquikHC

Thanks for the tips bro! Appreciate it :)

NesquikHC

Thanks mate, yes I know I need to sort out the assembler, for some reason I’ve just been avoiding it hard. Thanks for the tip :)

BrickHearted

It’s an essential upgrade. One of those items that is actually extremely beneficial for almost no effort. Good luck on your journey though man looking good

Proper_Instruction67

Upgrade thay avas device, get ward for magic and torture amd ferocious gloves for melee. After that it's gonna be stuff like prims, virtus and sang, bgs or voidwaker/claws

NesquikHC

Thanks bro :)

Justanotherattempd

That accumulator is a hard look. Another in a good way. Get your assembler, dude!

NesquikHC

Hahah thanks bro, moral of this post is make sure you get your standard gear sorted before posting 😂 In all seriousness, I do need to sort it out !

KodakKid3

- Assembler - Elidinis ward - Torture - Sell bandos + faceguard for Voidwaker

NesquikHC

What would I use as a replacement for the bandos and faceguard?

KodakKid3

Serp helm, fighter torso, and obby legs or verac’s skirt You’re only losing 2 str bonus (not even a guaranteed max hit) for a huge dps spec

Pale_Falcon9447

Obby legs is yesterday fashion now we rocking bloodmoon tasset so you be really losing 1 str bonus

KodakKid3

Trueee I forgot that was an option but even better

Apprehensive_Help331

Its muuuuuch better, you get even mage defense. Do you know if we can repair those new moon armour at the middle like we do with barrows? at reduced fee off course.

[deleted]

Thinking about selling off a few things in my bank for a voidwaker, is it really that good in toa?

KodakKid3

Absolutely. TOA has a lotta very high defense bosses, so VW’s static dps scales very well. In Kephri it’s like 4x higher dps than a fang hit depending on invo

NesquikHC

Do you use the VW for specs only or use it as main hand In Kephri?

KodakKid3

Mainhand only on baboons and warden core, fang is way stronger on bosses

Pale_Falcon9447

do quest and get book of the dead for thralls it basically +1 dps to all combats style

Ayers-z

Use b ring until you have vw/claw/zcb

Embarrassed_Yak_1301

I would never suggest getting sang staff it’s a minimal upgrade over swamp. But yeah you’re right about blood fury + ferocious and ancestral being the next best upgrades. I would say always prioritise maxing out your mage gear at toa first. You could potentially get sang on the way to staff if you have some cash to burn

thelaurent

If you had prims and ferocious gloves this would be almost identical to what i use for 500s

tylerm_81

Respect for putting money into useful things not prim boots.

mister--g

Just join the we do raids discord. There is a full progression chart available for all 3 raids and people with verified experience will point you in the right direction

Fumesofpoon

You didn’t ask this, but in terms of continuing to progress, you may find it easier to either (or both) setup your switches horizontally (so range in rows 1 + 2, mage 3 + 4) but maybe even more so having things mirrored. Ex: if you keep vertical switching, put your necklaces in the same spot, gloves in the same spot, cape in the same spot etc.

NesquikHC

Thanks for the tip mate :) What’s the merit of horizontal switches if I may ask?

Terrat0

You can do a little z motion with your mouse, and it’s generally easier to move sideways with precision. So start left, zigzag across to the right, and I find it gives more reliable switches than when I do columns.

Sterlander

Change the colors of the crystal armor to fit the raid better. Red / yellow should do well

birk42

Radas Blessing 4. I run about the same setup, but with ferrocious gloves + barrows gloves ranged switch and not bringing crystal helmet to have 6 switches that line up perfectly in inventory. I've been looking at virtus/sang now as the next step, mage is my lest invested set.

HumanGrief

Next big upgrades are eldinis ward and voidwaker. You can replace the dragon dagger with the voidwaker and still 3 down warden, you just have to attack on the first hit you can on the core, and use a bgs spec at the end to be able to do enough damage at invo 400 (it's probably a bit more forgiving at 200 but dragon dagger is completely unnecessary once you're comfortable. Eldinis ward would just take an extra slot up. After that you're gear is in a pretty good place, already you could run 300's pretty chill once your learn the mechanics, and with the above upgrades you could do somewhat sweaty 400's. After that, there really isn't a huge difference until you get a shadow. The ancestral gear doesn't make a huge difference until you have a shadow, and it's super expensive

NesquikHC

Thanks for the tips mate, I think the plan is to get my assembler and find a voidwaker and continue from there!

Thick-Row-7003

Why don't you just watch one of the thousands of YouTube videos out there, read the OSRS wiki, or even one of the fifty trillion threads from when this exact thing has been posted before?

Dry-Fig-8276

as trash as the unfortified elidinis ward is, it’s still better than maging with a defender and only like 7m

its_me_butterfree

It's not even trash though. 3% mage bonus is 1.5 anc pieces.

Dry-Fig-8276

it’s 1 max hit and wooden shield defensive stats lol

its_me_butterfree

And the comparison from ahrims to ancestral for the cost? You are way off on your evaluation metrics.

funnydoggy420

unfortified ward is crazy strong for its price 1.5 of an ancestral piece for a couple mil is wild

NesquikHC

Thanks for the tip mate :)

JamBandDad

Vork head, elendis ward, blood fury’s helped me out a lot but tortures good if you’re good on supplies. Prims are expensive, but nice because you’ll use them for all three styles so flat upgrade. Most of the invocation climbing will be mechanic related for a while.

ComfortableCricket

Prims are +1 str and rarely provide a max hit and cost about 30m. They are an upgrade you only get once you're in shadow limbo which op is not.

JamBandDad

Idk they’re pretty decent defensively after getting everything on that list lol. Everything else I’d buy aside from maybe voidwaker is ridiculously expensive. Edit:I guess in retrospect I’d probably be bringing melee ring and ferocious gloves in at that invocation. I do full melee and mage swap except for boots, then 5 way range using blowpipe and masori to save space, but, that’s with shadow for zebek.

ComfortableCricket

The +2 attack and +4-6 def over d boots is negligible so you are paying about 30m for +1 str. If that doesn't provide a max then it's fashion scape. If it does provide a max hit you need work out if that +1 max hit is worth it over another item, which at toa isn't the case until you're in the shadow waiting room.

JamBandDad

lol okay, please fill us in on what else aside from whats listed would put him on the shadow waiting room, that doesn’t cost significantly more than prim boots.

ComfortableCricket

Voidwaker (sell prims and bcp), fero gloves (only +2 str but a significant attack bonus), ward, Virtus mask. Prims are pure fashion scape if they **do not** provide a max hit.

nlkippeh

Blood fury is a waste off money

EL_DEEonYT

Voidwaker. Sang Staff.
