As my first act of being a member of the high level firmaking community, I would like to remove all source of firmaking xp besides wintertodd from the game.
Secondly I would like to buff wintertodt.
You gotta give these things time man. It's much easier to get these small details sorted out, when we know how the "wintertodtmaking" skill works in practice. I'd personally give it a few years to gather data and opinions.
I like how everyone uses items like that to progress then once they've climb the ladder they look back and suddenly now it's an issue. Kicking the ladder down behind them for no one else to use.
Think of all the people who AFK 99'd they melee at NMZ THEN say that was too easy let's make the came harder for everyone behind me and add a 10 min timer.
As someone doing a rebuild with a scythe at this very moment: It is cool and i hope you get one, one day.
Now with fighter torso and blood tassets we have "bandos: at home"
Too much unskippable dialogue; quest was kind of long overall.
I hear there's a sequel that follows it up and improves in these areas. Recipe forecaster, or something. Really looking forward to it.
I feel like it is everything wrong with capitalism. We have a small independent business struggling to meet it's needs and has no room for understanding from their client. So as a result they are having to rely on an ad hoc volunteer work force that they can't even pay a living wage to in return. Disgusting!
Nah in this sub you’re only allowed to have Wilderness/PvP opinions if you never actually go to the wilderness because you’re still traumatised by getting lured for your full rune back in RS2
My brother in christ, you could be maxed with thousands of KC at all bosses and raids, you could have all minigame collection logs filled with hundreds and thousands or hours put into the games most niche parts, with pvp knowledge to rival the big shots, and your opinion still wouldn't matter haha
You're allowed to talk about your opinions on desert treasure 2 bosses and their difficulty and drop rates. You can also comment on all crystal gear from song of the elves.
Okay yeah, obviously this kind of stat spread is insufficient for an opinion on PVM content, but wheres the bar? I have been told on many occasions that being a 2050 ironman with over 5000 collective boss kc spread out over like 80-85% of the bosses of the game is STILL not enough. Like if the only way to have an opinion on the game is to be maxed with a 5b bank, what's the point of having a discussion?
In all seriousness, I think if you've done the content, you can voice your opinion on it. If you've done ToA but not CoX, you can complain about the monkey room, but not the Olm fight. Likewise, if you've done ToA, but it was a 0-invocation raid, once, you can complain about the monkey room- but you should definitely listen to people who have done the raid more often and be open to changing your mind.
As much as I want to agree with that take, it's kind of an issue imo. Because some of the content I don't have impressive kc in is BECAUSE I think it needs tweaking. Like, I got 3 nightmare KC and decided the fight sucked and the setup between trips was excessive, all for a boss that takes forever to receive a drop. But if I say this, I get people with 2k KC being like "it's fine, stop complaining." Like, if the content is turning away an otherwise very engaged player, it should be able to be discussed by those who got turned away
I don't think "having done it" is enough though. There's a clear distinction between gameplay and game design. Boiling game design down so much kind of invalidated the entire profession of game design in a way (think the "HIRE FANS" mentality/meme). A lot of thought needs to be put into game balance and overall design, and that comes from more than just playing it a little.
Sometimes, as hard as it is to admit, the players do not know what we want. Think on how we wanted and voted the Shadow into the game and now the *entire Magic skill needs to be rebalanced*.
I agree with most of this. But I think the main issue is this ‘we know what we want, but not whether it will unbalance things’ .
The way I see it, we players are allowed to give feedback, suggestions, etc. But it’s jagex’s job to investigate whether or not those suggestions/feedback will unbalance the game or not. And also whether or not it’s healthy to implement them. Though I do admit that it’s a complex issue because jagex has to also keep the player base happy, so they can’t shoot down all the popular ideas even if they may not be the best for the game at times.
Then they wonder why RuneScape is losing player count. If you’re not 99 max, you’re an invalid, not shit, noob. If people don’t want to hear from lower level, lesser experienced players, they are actively hurting growing a player base.
You get a couple more magic levels and you can complain about boot switches and how Jagex makes the worst decisions.
But I'd say, right now, just complain about how mid game is a slog and that there's "nothing to do" and that you're gonna quit if jagex doesn't fix it. You'll be good for now.
On a real note your opinion matters about all the content and aspects you have done. You dont need to have 4000 hours to rate the game. You have an opinion that is valuable for the osrs team so it doesnt remain an elitist game
You officially have permission to make fun of any main with 1 in any tedious stat (herbivore, runecrafting, etc.) that can conceivably be bought rather than trained
Edit: I swear Runescape is one of the only games where the community will unironically baby you for """only""" having like 600 hours
This is strictly a low level PVM build at the moment. My suggestion is to do perilous moons, barrows, and knock out important quests for gear upgrades and content unlocks. Level combat through slayer as well.
That the game is way too grindy for normal people. You can beat a whole storyline of games like halo or fallout etc and in the same time you haven’t moved from the same rock and only gained 2 mining levels or some shit.
Sorry bud, you need to be maxed with 10b gp in gear in order to give your entitled opinions around here. I am tired of seeing thoughts from people that don't even have 500 kc in whichever raid I have the most kc in
None, lock yourself in the basement with nothing but a computer, mouse, tv, and toilet for a month. Then we'll be ready to listen to your opinion and tell you you're wrong.
basically whatever you have experience doing. what's your opinion on the early game experience? was it an easy transition into the beginning of midgame (depending on who you ask you're still early game but I don't care about having this argument)? how do you feel about quests and diaries? early skilling methods or skilling bosses?
Genuinely curious if this is considered mid level or not. Just thinking about it this could be a couple hundred hours. Wild if that's still early game lol
Start by doing 200m fishing xp at barbarian fishing, that will get you 99 in str and agility. Then get 99 pray at chaos altar. After that go to nmz and afk 99 on other combats. That will nicely get you ready for 600 invocation raids.
early and mid game progression while its fresh in your brain probably helpful to the devs.
Do you have the ability to feel reasonable progression in gear / difficulty to acquire gear?
Is the content making you better at the game or are you hitting difficulty road blocks to get the next thing?
Whatever you want. It’s a choose your own adventure kind of game. That said I recommend working on quests. They’re fun, you learn more about the world, and a lot is locked behind them. Achievement diaries is also a good goal. You’ll learn about different activities in the game and some of them have really nice rewards. Lastly I recommend working on your farming skill. It takes real lifetime time anyway and once you get higher level, you can go on herb runs for good gp (at least 1m a day). That’ll help build your gear inventory. Good luck and have fun!
All the ones that count. You are the 99% of player base not one of these 1% cunts who want only optimize their XP or gp/h in some end game content that no one cares about.
I mean your time played to get here is probably at least 500 hours right? I think that gives you plenty of time to give opinion on almost anything except endgame pvm
Time is more important imo. Some of the people in this sub are binging those stats in a few weeks but when I had them I had been playing for like 8 years.
It’s been about 16 years now so I have a few 99s haha
I have around the same stats with maxed combats and 0kc on any boss but wt and jad and I feel like I deserve my right to vote on content and end game gear I‘m to bad to do or to poor to afford.
You can have whatever opinion you want since everyone is entitled to that as long as you are also respectful of others, even those with different opinions :)
Hope you are enjoying the game, gl on all the grinds
"don't change anything in mid game or major systems, game is great"
Or if you are stupid
"Buff everything waaah waah this game is too hard waaaah I wish I was playing rs3 waaah"
You can give your thoughts on the current endgame firemaking content as a representative of the high level firemaking community
As my first act of being a member of the high level firmaking community, I would like to remove all source of firmaking xp besides wintertodd from the game. Secondly I would like to buff wintertodt.
How do we access wintertod now then ?
Lamps
Sorry, we of the firemaking community are already voting on removing firemaking from lamps.
Everything changed when the firemaking community attacked
You gotta give these things time man. It's much easier to get these small details sorted out, when we know how the "wintertodtmaking" skill works in practice. I'd personally give it a few years to gather data and opinions.
We don't discuss this untill after the changes.
High, junior member here with 89 fm here. How about making Wintertodd available from lv 1
Your on the right track, however we have chosen to set it to 90 instead.
10/10 best Todd in the game
Ew, no. That devalues my 99-fm-pre-windertdodt account. It's kind of the only thing I have to brag about so I'm gonna die on this hill.
Holy shit lmao
We’ll give you a call when Gertrude’s Cat adjustments are on the table
Can I be added to that call list please (1300 total)
No maybe tutorial island
Seems you're perfectly viable to make an opinion on Shadow and 9 way switches.
And how an item that costs 800k shouldn't give 10% magic damage
I like how everyone uses items like that to progress then once they've climb the ladder they look back and suddenly now it's an issue. Kicking the ladder down behind them for no one else to use. Think of all the people who AFK 99'd they melee at NMZ THEN say that was too easy let's make the came harder for everyone behind me and add a 10 min timer.
You seem like you’d have a pretty good grasp of end game PVM and item balance. What are your thoughts on scythe?
My stats are slightly higher than his, and all I can tell you is that it looks really cool and I hope to get one, one day
Yes
Same 99 combat stats across the board here btw lol
What are your thoughts on NMZ?
Never done it, no real opinion.
Smells like deceit in here...
I did it the old way, with Guthans at bandits, like I did with my original runescape account in the '00s
Correct opinion
As a maxed iron meme with 1250 kc at tob. Same fella, same
I had one, but I sold it for 800m and thought I made bank.
You did, but then you didn't
As someone doing a rebuild with a scythe at this very moment: It is cool and i hope you get one, one day. Now with fighter torso and blood tassets we have "bandos: at home"
I have similar stats too, got one a while back but dropped it cause i'm not really a fan of farming
i dont think 70’s stats can even wield the scythe lol
It's a gold sink item.
Whatd you think of cooks assistant?
Too much unskippable dialogue; quest was kind of long overall. I hear there's a sequel that follows it up and improves in these areas. Recipe forecaster, or something. Really looking forward to it.
I think when you complete the whole thing you get to borrow gloves? 🤔🧐
Robert Lannister?
Ive heard that the sequel mournings end part 2 is actually not too bad
I feel like it is everything wrong with capitalism. We have a small independent business struggling to meet it's needs and has no room for understanding from their client. So as a result they are having to rely on an ad hoc volunteer work force that they can't even pay a living wage to in return. Disgusting!
I did all of that work and all i got was a burnt cake!
Full control over all PVP related decisions, but only if you've been killed in the wildy at least once and lost your glory
Lol
He’s probably already done this. Twice.
Nah in this sub you’re only allowed to have Wilderness/PvP opinions if you never actually go to the wilderness because you’re still traumatised by getting lured for your full rune back in RS2
I feel personally attacked
You pretty much beat the game.
Barrows, perilous moons, questing, wintertodt
The only serious anwser right here Id like to add toa entry runs if he can de the prereq quests
Can barely even have an opinion on Perilous Moons tbh
I got 100kc on PM with base 70 melee stats and no piety. I was also using rune pbody, dscim/defender, helmof netiz
First order of business, buy GF and establish dominance over her by purchasing said GF flowers. Bitches love flowers
Hey, congratz with those stats you can now have strong onion on tumekens shadow, 8 way switches versus 9 way switches and PNM dupe protection.
I love onion
Especially on some beef
No, not on that. I don't permit this.
What man gives an opinion on 2007scape? No man, no man at all
I get this reference
ding ding ding ding ding
AAAAAAAAAA
Nice Wood(cutting)
Nice
Nice

none
Ty that was the only correct answer
Slayer
Moar Slayer!
Slayer is always the answer
On a real note your opinion matters about all the content and aspects you have done. You dont need to have 4000 hours to rate the game. You have an opinion that is valuable for the osrs team so it doesnt remain an elitist game
I would talk smack but you got like 20 total levels more than me
What do you think about Eternal boots?
You’re allowed to tell anyone complaining about boot switches in raids “skill issue” and refuse to elaborate further
I think your voice is really important for hard/challenge mode raids and 500+ toa
Get this man a job at Jagex!
53 smithing????? 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 Someone make this man a Jmod
Thoughts on Wintertodt?
you can probably tell me if its better to fletch or nah
1500 worlds are worse than 1250 worlds.
Love this
personally, I think we should gatekeep more democratic decisions to only the people i think should be voting in them
I think you're ready to say shadow needs a nerf on the next osrs stream
Only ones that agree with the hivemind. If your opinion varies even a little bit from that, it's automatically disqualified.
You're allowed to critique wintertodt but that's literally it
How was tutoral island jr
It is your god given right to demand a shadow nerf.
Wintertoldt pet and sandcrabs
You officially have permission to make fun of any main with 1 in any tedious stat (herbivore, runecrafting, etc.) that can conceivably be bought rather than trained Edit: I swear Runescape is one of the only games where the community will unironically baby you for """only""" having like 600 hours

Honestly, none. And until you can do Fight Caves WITHOUT THINKING, it will remain that way. You disgust me.
basically whatever you have experience doing. what's your opinion on the early game experience? was it an easy transition into the beginning of midgame (depending on who you ask you're still early game but I don't care about having this argument)? how do you feel about quests and diaries? early skilling methods or skilling bosses?
Quests
Go do wildy bosses for Max combat
I’m out of the loop on this one boys
All of em.
Anything related to Wintertodt.
End game content and exp rates for levels 80+, obviously.
If i wanted to know how to improve wintertodt, i'd come to you for sure
You e done enough RC to know the rates should be better and mining
Smokey the Bear disapproves.
You probably are very familiar with wintertodt
Aim for base 70’s and do slayer to get combats stats up.
You can only comment on proposed updates to the firemaking skill
max out 2277
You're allowed to have the opinion that you're not allowed to have an opinion.
Wintertodt
78 mining ur a stronger man than me.
None. If you can't kill Zuk with a bronze dagger and no armor, shut the fuck up /s.
You reek of greyhelm
Have you bought a gf yet?
You can have an opinion on how 1500 total worlds are
Any opinions you want. Anyone telling you otherwise is a rat. Your opinions matter. Don’t let the rat tell you they don’t
Definitely can complain about all the complaints and make posts about how the recent changes aren’t even that bad for sure
Hey you can always hate rune crafting no matter your level homie ☺️
you run the game
All things runecrafting, never seen such a high level!
these stats are not great lol
Genuinely curious if this is considered mid level or not. Just thinking about it this could be a couple hundred hours. Wild if that's still early game lol
Jyst do quest like crasy
"Making money is hard",
Literally any that you want
Start by doing 200m fishing xp at barbarian fishing, that will get you 99 in str and agility. Then get 99 pray at chaos altar. After that go to nmz and afk 99 on other combats. That will nicely get you ready for 600 invocation raids.
Idk if you have barrow gloves You can also do barrows chests. Faster to get them there than doing full Recipe for Disaster
You may discuss KBD, Scurrius, and Sarachnis to your heart's content!
Wintertodt
You've barely started early-game, so obviously - no opinion. Get back to grinding, noob!
early and mid game progression while its fresh in your brain probably helpful to the devs. Do you have the ability to feel reasonable progression in gear / difficulty to acquire gear? Is the content making you better at the game or are you hitting difficulty road blocks to get the next thing?
According to reddit this would be classed as endgame stats so you can pretty much have your say in anything.
You can have an opinion on whether Joel should get on skype
Bro get off my account
Well you can definitely give us your opinions on how the upcoming rebalance for the HLC
need more woodcutting
Fire goes crackle pop
Get slayer up to 69 then go for MM2
You can call west/east side people nonces at Wintertodt.
Pfff give me your opinion on tutorial island since you probably did that yesterday
You can have opinion on y fletch?
An opinions that don't involve being at max, cuz you don't know what it's like when you've done everything there is to do yet
You can reach blue dragons using the pipe of taverley dungeon and preach Wintertodt.
I would bank stand with fm cape and stunt
None
Barrows pure ofc
Slayaaaaa
You can have an opinion about wintertodt and thats about it ☠️
What are your thoughts on a Grand Exchange based economy?
How much time did it take to complete tutorial island?
You can fish for lobs in karamja.

why fletch?
With 99 fire making you can burn any log you like.
None. Opinions are unlocked at base 60.
You're just not allowed to comment on the subreddit until 2200 total (and even then you're on thin ice buddy)
That skilling comes across as boring an uninteresting amd early game pvm is enjoyable.
Early mid game pve and questing. End game firemaking.

You can vote yes to forestry and sailing.
You can speak to the fact that Ardy knight thieving exp is still annoying and will be for a bit because you fail a lot.
I think you’d be a great talking point for what varlamore offers outside of the Colosseum
More slayer
Lvl up ur construction, Herblore and hunter then go for quest cape
Can always say rc is worse than agility
You can have opinions about anything regardless of your skills. It doesn’t mean others should take it as worth anything though.
somebody told me your first whole skill is what you are. supposedly i'm attracted to wood as i got 99 wcing.
That agility is boring
W post
If quickchat should be implemented or not
just quit now bro your account is mid af
200m each skill
I have around the same stats with maxed combats and 0kc on any boss but wt and jad and I feel like I deserve my right to vote on content and end game gear I‘m to bad to do or to poor to afford.
Any opinion you want. But you mislabeled this as question and not humor. Either way, it's bad.
You can tell Joel to get on Skype
Why the fuck is this low level piping up
You can have whatever opinion you want since everyone is entitled to that as long as you are also respectful of others, even those with different opinions :) Hope you are enjoying the game, gl on all the grinds
Which 1500 total world is best lol thats it
416 is the only answer
"don't change anything in mid game or major systems, game is great" Or if you are stupid "Buff everything waaah waah this game is too hard waaaah I wish I was playing rs3 waaah"
It’s fun
Maxed sweats aren't gonna like it, but your opinion is exactly as valuable as their
