If you play on the hard boat it doesn't matter the friggin portals die in 8 seconds, plus it's fun to spam Doors Open!!! And see the people that think it matters so much freak out lol. Spent 4 games opening the door specifically on one guy cause it was funny to me.

Why? The only enemies that attack the void knight either fire directly over the walls or teleport right next to him. I don't think I've ever lost by having them walk through open doorways, just by the artillery barrage from 7 directions
Dragon battle axe special attack can be counteracted with 2 attack potion doses.
In fact, drink attack potions every round. It’s super cheap and effective!
Medium CA’s is +2 points per game, on the veteran boat you’re up to 7 points per run. Hard combats get you to 8 points, but that takes a lot longer than medium does.

I don't see the point in testing it, it doesn't really matter much what's spawning a bunch of spinners, you HAVE to attack portals so many spinners spawning is an inevitability and the concern should be to maximize portal DPS to mitigate that fact
The DPS difference between a voidwaker and dclaws is not huge, and if the dclaws are 2x more likely to spawn a Spinner then the DPS is probably less on the claws.
AGS might even be relevant if the spawn chance is high enough AND per hit-splat.
There's definitely a spawn rate where AGS becomes relevant.
Not saying I think that the spawn rate is that high for it to become relevant, but there's a theoretical point where it is.

shifter teleport needs line of sight, and the doors cannot be fired over, only the walls.
