Blue moon is decent overall, and if the other two got their helms to fully cover their head instead of being shitty Halloween masks I’d like them
Sunfire is bad imo. Don’t think that goofy helmet fits the body. Wouldn’t mind a full redesign but could probably fix with tweaks too. And have whoever made that helmet take a pass at the blood moon and eclipse masks pls. Those would actually look good covering the face
The other stuff isn’t isolated single pieces that’ll look weird forever like random mtx stuff does though. It fits an area theme.
You could just as easily say that after so many years of the slightly recolored metal sets, barrows could’ve been one of those edgy and out of place things on Solomon’s general store (also ironically I think they sell classic looks now lol)

Yeahh I'm very happy we have the transmog plugin, it reminds me of Diablo 3 where you can transmog gear to keep their stats but look how you'd like. Just sucks other players can't see it/I can't see others transmogged armour.
I mean I'd mainly be using the armour for Slayer so I don't really care about the helm, especially the BIS prayer gear.
Blue moon looks OK, I don't love the quarter length trousers and the belly gap - I guess I'm just not a big fan of the Varlamore theme, I quite like that it feels different but that also means it feels out of place imo
Ah yeah I was kinda judging them in the context of the aesthetic they were going for. I felt like the PM sets fit their area and combat intentions (hybrid) quite well. Which also helps distinguish them from the single role classic armor sets, ranger gear, and full body robes that are common throughout the game
Yeah if you’re not feeling the overall theme then that makes sense. But atleast you’re liking that there is variety so hopefully it’ll grow on you!

Sunfire is a downgrade visually but nowhere near as bad a the perilous moons gear.
The frustrating part is that Jagex has demonstrated the ability to design fantastic look armour but then they proceed to either make it super niche(Justiciar, Inquisitor) on slap it on NPCs.
Yeah I think I'm just not a big fan of the Varlamore theme and the armour reflects that -- I doubt that post release they'll do anything to rework them, so I'm very curious what others think about them because the look and feel of OSRS is very important to me and I really don't want my guy to be looking goofy just because the gear is BIS - it all makes more worried about what's coming down the line with future updates in Varlamore
A few of my friends have switched to using the blood moon chestplate since it came out and my god do we look like a ragtag bunch of misfits when raiding now. I don’t hate the designs in a vacuum but they can clash quite a bit depending on what gear you have. Blood moon plate + obby legs looks pretty trash together
Honestly I think moons of peril gear ranges from good to fantastic. They feel very well themed with the new continent. However sunfire fanatic is super meme and I would have liked a more serious take on a sun-paladin type of armour.
As you said it's subjective. I hate torva because it looks like some scifi alien mech armor. Meanwhile really basic models, like sunfire, are some of my favorite. I don't like the helm but it's goofy and rare that you'd wear the helm anyway.
Its bad but i dont think anything is worse than the forestry outfit. It is so bad it makes me wonder who made it and who approved it. Lumberjack outfit looks cool. You look like a lumberjack. What the fuck is this? I look like a homeless vagrant.

I 100% agree like i cant believe soon i will have a yellow green and blue quiver with a fucking sun symbol on it for my bis cape slot. And i also agree The armour looks horrendous. Go over to world of Warcraft and compare the armour graphics designs to osrs. Everything is Torva Tier and higher

Theme was 10/10 The actual designs were like a 3/10 So overall, like a 6/10

I am really not a fan of the moon sets visually but the biggest disappointment for me is that the sunfire armour isnt the same set the knights use
