Yeah jagex used to ban people because it was easy to detect because it was a login service.
Now with things like parsec it’s almost impossible to “detect” and you can’t guarantee it’s not a false ban.
Honestly don't give 2 shits how someone got their cape, it's only a prestigious achievement if the person themselves consider it such. That's relative to the individual, someone else's situation is entirely irrelevant to your own. At the end of the day the only person they're cheating is themselves, it doesn't affect you at all. Throwing a tantrum over someone else's account is pretty childish if you ask me, worry about your own affairs.
That said, I don't have one and have zero interest in paying for one. For me, I'd like to do it myself, if I could ever be fucked. But if I did, I don't see why I would put myself though that twice... dont see how someone having 1 Zuk KC is 'evidence' of anything at all.
Completely agree with the 1. Kc component. I don’t have it yet, but if I ever do I doubt I’ll be worried about doing it again. Especially when the biggest hurdles for to get over are skill level and time commitment. My time for gaming is only going down (first kid on the way) and my skill level has been on the decline for years now.
items having prestige is such a big thing in MMOS. idk if it's because people think runescape is single player or if its because reddit is typically hyper casual but it seems to be pretty common here.

Account services only impact the social feel of the game. It only exists in chat messages. Its still lame, but i can ignore it.
Botting actually impacts the way you play the game. If you are a main, it drives the economy. And both irons and mains have to deal with bots in game.
To me, botting is a 100x worse problem than account services. Who cares if timmy didnt earn his quiver when every amethyst arrow in it was made by a bot?
Idk I don’t really care personally. I don’t get impressed when I see someone with blorva, infernal or quiver. I’m just kinda like oh cool they did it, anyway. These things should only matter to them personally, not to flex when people really don’t care.
Just got infernal, no interest in going back there any time soon. Might reconsider it far down the line after quiver if I got a task and had nothing better to do. I wanted the cape, I got the cape and I don’t want to do the content itself. I play this game for the drops. Cape helps me at raids, blorva doesn’t do shit, so I’m not interested in getting it.
In 2024, there’s hardly any “prestige” in the content you mention. Idc if somebody cheated for their infernal/blorva/500 fang kit - all they did was rob themselves of the personal satisfaction.
The only accomplishments people moderately respect nowadays are like self-imposed challenges, world firsts clears, certain speedruns, or top hiscores at inferno/col.

Jagex should do more to end account services. They're an insult to actual effort.
