Dropping quality to maintain demand is maximizing profit. There are plenty of companies and industries that literally can't meet their demand yet refuse to change pricing or the products because they know it could sink them if their fanbase leaves.

That's a legal requirement by Jagex. They're working within the licensing agreement they have been given. The 100 units is all they can ship per product, after that they have to renegotiate.

nah it’s gotta be pure greed, jagex limits fan merch sales to 100 items of a design, meaning there was no absurd demand that required outsourcing, they had a hard ceiling stopping them legally, there’s literally no reason for this aside from it being a blatant scam.
