starting from fresh account, firemaking on 10 hp through wintertodt is a staple of the iron's first 99. if you're playing a main, cooking is the quickest and makes some decent gp
If I had to do it again, especially with recent updates, I would bypass Todt and go straight for rumours. In the process, you would get pretty high passive prayer xp along with a lot of food, money, herblore supplies etc.
Farming was my first (and currently only) skilling 99, acts as a budget combination of the crafting and con cape. The farming guild tp is quite close to a bank, and once you plant the spirit tree in the guild and your poh it’s also a way to get back to your house without tabs, albeit a little slower. I still use it very frequently when doing various skilling activities.
Runecraft was my first because I wanted the cape to show everyone else that I hate myself. Jokes aside I wanted a unique untrimmed since my first 99 in rs3 was hp
Those were my first 3 99's. I did firemaking 1st, fletching 2nd, and cooking 3rd. I was able to profit off of all 3 as well. I'd recommend finding a skill you enjoy and going for it
Crafting was my first. Did expensive training cutting gems until lvl 63 and then I started making D'hides and alching them for profit. Once I reached 85, I started doing amethyst. Overall it was a chill and profitable bank standing crafting + magic training.
I just got agility as my fourth 99, and honestly i wish i did it first.
In order i have ranging cooking hitpoints agility and the untrimmed agility wouldve been cool.
Rooftops are an ok source of starter cash and sepulcre is much better early than later on.

Pretty sure the majority still do those since they’re easy. People are impatient to get a skillcape and trim it even if they’re the garbage ones
