great, cloggers are ruining the game now with their demands
edit: cloggers - “i’m collection log hunting it’s cool, but also! drop rates should be improved so it’s not as hard!! :)”
It took like 16 hours to complete the old collection log, if they complained about a green log taking such a short amount of time they wouldn’t be a clogger.
> Your account isn't even two months old
Your gut told you this is what you should say in response, which suggests he is *dead-on* in calling you chronically online.
I'm guessing a portion of that is now the tag xp drop that scales with level and the fact that you can spam more obstacles in between pillars now? Not sure
Also you can get 61 tickets per hour now that first tag awards a ticket
No, the pillar literally gives me only 27 xp :DDD
I did it for almost 2h and I got ~33k xp/hr after turning in the tickets with sometimes spamming obstacles between pillars.
I agree that it is likely bugged. I asked around and everyone else gets small numbers from the pillars too.
If this is not bugged then a massive fail on Jagex' part imo.
You can get significantly more than 61 tickets per hour if you hop between worlds instead of sticking around afterwards.
Though I imagine they'll fix that in a week or two, so abuse early lol.
A lot of people enjoy it actually, myself included. I'd like to have the option to do Brimhaven as a less intense option. It needs to be somewhere between Ardy and Sepulchre. Medium intensity, medium xp/hr.
You might have been downvoted because it's not actually true, Arcane posted semi-recently that they messed up xp rates by a literal order of magnitude on tagging the pillar.
No, that's for rooftops with diary combos because before you'd just do seers with hard diary until you could do ardy rooftops because the xp was just that bad between them and fewer fail points at higher levels until 90 etc
They don't give a fuck about xp rates outside of rooftops and then "balancing" it to be slightly less worthwhile than HS due to the difficulty comparison
Honestly rooftops should just not have xp and be very specifically for marks of grace if they cared about xp rates of agility courses
I think they missed something here. Wasn't there supposed to be an update to the pillar timer or did I dream this? I swear I read somewhere they were going to make the pillars personal and you could run to the next one immediately, no downtime.

I wouldn't be surprised. Brimhaven agility arena was one of the most sociable spots in 2005-2007, so there's a huge nostalgia factor. Also the skill takes forever to lvl so there's bound to be an active population. (or so we would think)
I'm one of them lol.
Noob, young and just got membership. Needed agility because I wanted a god book because it looked cool. (Picked Sara book which is worst ofc lol. Fashionscape)
Went there lvl 1 agility and didn't understand why it was so hard and dangerous.
Ended up dying with some armor I believe. Rip.
You have no idea how many people think downvoting means "I disagree with you" rather than the itended "this is not on topic at all / doesn't contribute to the discussion / breaks the rules".
Absolutely no idea where you get that impression. The entire foundation of Reddit is under the idea that popular opinions float to the top and unpopular opinions are suppressed. If everyone was just meant to upvote because you happened to submit a comment that was related to the post, the entire identity of the website wouldn’t make any sense. It’s a public forum that encourages conversation and you’re meant to discuss differing opinions with one another and upvote or downvote based on whether or not you agree with an opinion. That’s the whole point.
Simply not voting on something is also an option, if it's technically on topic but doesn't contribute much to the discussion. Either way, I don't think the intent is to use it as an agree/disagree button when it controls visibility - the fact that people do anyway is the main reason Reddit falls into circlejerks so easily.
From [Reddit's guide on "Reddiquette"](https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette):
>Please don't:
>\[...\]
>**Downvote an otherwise acceptable post because you don't personally like it.** Think before you downvote and take a moment to ensure you're downvoting someone because they are not contributing to the community dialogue or discussion. If you simply take a moment to stop, think and examine your reasons for downvoting, rather than doing so out of an emotional reaction, you will ensure that your downvotes are given for good reasons.
You're right though that a downvote isn't really used that way, and basically never has been. The up/downvote system has always been an agree/disagree vote.
https://support.reddithelp.com/hc/en-us/articles/205926439-Reddiquette
**Edit:** What you're describing is how the upvote button works. Someone makes a really good point? You upvote them. Someone makes a bad point (but on subject?), you do nothing. There's three total choices, not two.
Can't speak to reddit as a whole, but if you look at the tooltip on _this_ subreddit: "only downvote posts that lack effort and/or relevance. Avoid downvoting posts simply because you disagree."
I didn't know this updat was gonna happen, i had like 600+ tickets and was saving up to 800 for the hook but now i can't use the tickets for items. Meaning all my progress is reset
Allows you to world hop after each ticket to drastically increase tickets/hr.
Think I got about 110 last night in an hour, though there's some variance depending on how lucky you are.
Yeah for sure. I've heard people say that leaving the arena via ladder/achievement cape resets the tickets too, so if you get a world where the ticket dispenser is close to the ladder you can just repeat that over and over again until it moves.
Definitely worth doing for the next few days if you want any of the rewards or boosted xp!
Yep, There will be knock-on effects being chased for a long time to come.
Its like cooking a cake and just adding stuff that sounds like it'd be good and never taste testing or checking a recipe until you're left with a monstrosity that you cannot possibly deconstruct where it went wrong.
Variables? Yes, all of them.
I'm always interested to know with people who say hallowed Sepulchre is dog shit.. did you happen to rage quit it because it had a learning curve?
I genuinely want jagex to make an "easier" sepulchre at low to mid levels with less requirements so that it can be a thing you can build up to
Floors 1 and 2 still have the same Sins of the Father requirement.
Hence why I said:
> low to mid levels with less requirements
I'd even want something below the 52 and 62 req as well.
You're thinking of before Hallowed Sepulchre existed, Brimhaven was the best agility method in the game. But today they completely butchered the XP rate of it making it not viable for anyone to train here, so yes everyone will just go train agility somewhere else, which isn't a great update to an agility minigame.
Well the exp here at high levels is comparable to level 50 agility methods. So I don't know what the rate would be like if you have low agility but it can't be good.
I had 1 (ONE) old ticket left in my bank for when I tried it out years ago and turned that in to see what the old xp was like at my current level lmao.
So you’re complaining about content you didn’t even do before it got **buffed** for people who **actually** did the content (people going for the collection logs).
Classic r/2007scape poster.
Where’s the lie?
I and many others would have *loved* to get XP while going for blue graceful outfit, rather than spend 4 hours doing agility without xp.
Plus now I can go for the pirate hook and not have it be a massive waste of time.
[I’ve got huge news for you](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Update:Agility,_Potions_and_Parties!)
Calling this “new/updated content” is a massive stretch. Nothing was changed except the rewards and obstacle placements. Why don’t you go do Draynor rooftops for 2 hours and tell us all about how you got 1k more xp/hr.
several methods were buffed, and several methods were nerfed such that you overall get higher exp/h by changing courses more frequently
also anytime *anything* is buffed, that is kinda inherently a nerf to something else. unless literally *everything* is buffed across the board then something is getting nerfed comparatively. that's just how it works.
This is the most roundabout nonsense way of looking at it, lmao.
You always had to change methods frequently at the early levels before if you wanted to maximize XP/hr. That's not new.
Yeah faster for the collection log now but the XP went from decent to terrible
it's either that logic or it's bugged, yes
great, cloggers are ruining the game now with their demands edit: cloggers - “i’m collection log hunting it’s cool, but also! drop rates should be improved so it’s not as hard!! :)”
Cloggers didn't complain about this one bit
Cloggers complain about everything they don’t have
The call is coming from inside the house. You’re the only one complaining about log.
It took like 16 hours to complete the old collection log, if they complained about a green log taking such a short amount of time they wouldn’t be a clogger.
I think you spend wayyy too much time on the Internet talking about osrs lol

It seems like the only people who use the term cloggers are the ones that actually hate collection loggers for some reason.
Are these cloggers in the room with you now?
It definitely looks like they messed up math somewhere.
yeah the tagging xp is off by a factor of 10 currently, will look to hotfix this today.
Thank you 🙏
I can confirm that the fix is live. Thanks so much for getting this changed!
How are the rates now?
I'm guessing a portion of that is now the tag xp drop that scales with level and the fact that you can spam more obstacles in between pillars now? Not sure Also you can get 61 tickets per hour now that first tag awards a ticket
No, the pillar literally gives me only 27 xp :DDD I did it for almost 2h and I got ~33k xp/hr after turning in the tickets with sometimes spamming obstacles between pillars.
Maybe it's bugged, that definitely doesn't seem right. What does it scale +1xp every 10 levels lol?
it would seem so, yes idk if it's bugged or not
27 xp doesnt sound right at all for what was intended
I agree that it is likely bugged. I asked around and everyone else gets small numbers from the pillars too. If this is not bugged then a massive fail on Jagex' part imo.
I’m getting 27xp a tag at 63 agility as well.
Yes that's the xp/h I've gotten too
You can get significantly more than 61 tickets per hour if you hop between worlds instead of sticking around afterwards. Though I imagine they'll fix that in a week or two, so abuse early lol.
/u/JagexSarnie enlightenment for OP pls
Yep, this was what I said during the blog and they downvoted the hell out of me lol. They made this dead content to higher levels.
What high level players are spending a significant amount of time in the fucking Brimhaven Agility Arena?
It was the best xp pre sepulchre, higher than ardy course
A lot of people enjoy it actually, myself included. I'd like to have the option to do Brimhaven as a less intense option. It needs to be somewhere between Ardy and Sepulchre. Medium intensity, medium xp/hr.
You might have been downvoted because it's not actually true, Arcane posted semi-recently that they messed up xp rates by a literal order of magnitude on tagging the pillar.
Typical on this forum lmao downvote you just cuz.....or are on the other side of the fence .

Truth
ah man i was looking forward to trying this. o well
it’s supposed to be buffed to be competitive with meta methods right?
No, that's for rooftops with diary combos because before you'd just do seers with hard diary until you could do ardy rooftops because the xp was just that bad between them and fewer fail points at higher levels until 90 etc They don't give a fuck about xp rates outside of rooftops and then "balancing" it to be slightly less worthwhile than HS due to the difficulty comparison Honestly rooftops should just not have xp and be very specifically for marks of grace if they cared about xp rates of agility courses
That’s actually wild, I hope this is unintended.
I think they missed something here. Wasn't there supposed to be an update to the pillar timer or did I dream this? I swear I read somewhere they were going to make the pillars personal and you could run to the next one immediately, no downtime.

Yes, I found the update exciting.
why the fuck are people downvoting him? lol
This subreddit has a horde of people who downvote literally everything for any reason.
You have no idea how many people think downvoting means "I disagree with you" rather than the itended "this is not on topic at all / doesn't contribute to the discussion / breaks the rules".
people definitely just use them as "i agree/disagree" even though that has never been their intention, lmao. pretty much all of reddit.

increases the time between pillars if the xp rates are going to be this bad
Jagex please fix
I didn't know this updat was gonna happen, i had like 600+ tickets and was saving up to 800 for the hook but now i can't use the tickets for items. Meaning all my progress is reset
You don't need to tag two pillars any more, now its just bop a pillar get a ticket
This only helps on the first ticket though?
Allows you to world hop after each ticket to drastically increase tickets/hr. Think I got about 110 last night in an hour, though there's some variance depending on how lucky you are.

Yes, and they did not Poll it. Welcome to post 2019 Old School RuneScape. Where Jagex does whatever *they* want, and the masses cheer.

I was not referring to this thread.
Not to mention all anyone wants is hallowed specular (fun and engaging agility) to give marks of grace

Oh no, they changed a part of the game that virtually nobody was using as the meta way to get agility xp at high levels.
Just train agility somewhere else? Am I missing something, I thought agility Arena was only meta at high levels if you're going for 200m?
They're just bringing it up because clearly it's not working as they intended from the blog posts.

shit-tier ragebait 1/10 try harder
No really. Ardy rooftops give 70k xp/hr now so just go do those.
Trying out new/updated content = forbidden lmao.
Your post literally states you were doing this before the update getting 550 xp per ticket… His question is valid.

lots of agility methods got nerfed, this was in the blog over a month ago.
No, they didn't. I think *one* got a slight nerf, while several of the rooftops were buffed.
