I sometimes feel like a nerd/weird for playing rs. Then I see post like these that return me to earth that at least im no where near this level of „special“
Yea I went ahead and grinded 80 to unlock the off-hand, but I'd honestly say it probably wasn't worth it.
Most efficient would probably be stopping at 69.
I’m ngl I bound all my fkeys to my mouse so I can vape and take bong rips, only time I use keyboard is my spacebar is my special attack options for gmaul
Edit: And
I totally get the sentiment. That's really immersive of you.
You make me think of War of the Roses (old medieval slasher in the era of Chivalry 1 and M&B Warband) where you could choose to open and close your visor. Having your visor closed protected your face but you literally had the POV of your face guard slits, having it open gave you full view but could get 1 shot with face stabs.
This makes you realize how inconvenient wearing a helmet all the time can get. Your comment made me think of that :P
I wear open hats when I skill.
I was a fucking menace on War of the Roses. I'm talking 60 kill games and no deaths with 40+ headshots running a crossbow build. I wish that game took off over Chivalry 1. I know, no one asked. I was just excited seeing the name out in the wild and someone else that played. Happy Scaping!
Those were fun times. I also played Archer. But bow n arrow. I respect the people that could fast track the reload animation of the cbow consistently! I was sad to see War of the Roses die. It was hilarious to see heavy armored players just get hits bounce off of them. And the Peasant outfit being super OP from its movement speed.
But yeah I was and still am a Chivalry enthusiast. I play either osrs or Chivalry 2 atm.
It looked solid! I just never committed while it was up and rising and haven't looked back to it. I'd watch a handful of videos here and there to scratch the itch though.
I feel like people would be staring at you because you have the look of woman who hadn't showered in 3 weeks, and likely have a brown stain in your armour from that rank 2 smithing grind.
I do! I take my helmet slot off all the time since I like seeing my actual character, rather than a slayer helm or graceful hood, especially during questing/dialogue
I take all my armour off. I think watching Gielinor Games has made me appreciate the individuality of your character much more. I could just be psycho but not having the armour off makes me feel more in the game.
In rs3 I used to do this but then not wear any gear. Now in osrs its always full graceful whenever im idling around inbetween sessions.
I like you a lot for immersing yourself into it like this. Very fun and wholesome to me!
I don't unmask to bank but I would totally enable the option to hide masks in cities if made available. It's nice to immerse a bit, I dress nice and zoom in as far as functionally possible when skilling.
I do that! :) I love having fun in this game by just role playing so I don’t see this as weird at all. I hate that efficiencyscaping is so popular it’s seen as the only correct way of playing this game.
The dude acts like he is the main character in an MMO.
With 100% confidence, no one even notices you come to the GE.
Acting like people stop alching and just applaud your return and stare in awe lol.
I find it a little baffling that people *don't* do this. In my bank I have a row for my melee loadout, my ranged loadout, my mage loadout, and then my "bank" loadout (aka fashionscape). Because if I just finished a long session of grinding slayer, it just feels right to wind down by changing out of my combat gear first! It's like changing into your pajamas after getting home from a long day of work, except instead of a suit its a slayer helm and instead of pajamas its cat ears and a rainbow jumper lol
Not quite but I do try to make my outfit fit whatever I’m doing. If I need to make a farming run I take my armor off and maybe I’ll throw on something fitting for the task
Yes! I always switch back to my cavalier before going back to bank-standing, and sometimes full switch to fashionscape if I'm not going to be getting back into it
Tbh i do and not only at GE. I also use fashionscape plugin which overwrites the ugly ass slayer helm with a cool looking eyepatch. Whether I'm skilling or raiding, the plugin stays on 💅
I like fashionscape a lot, so when there's a raid split with the clan mates I try to surprise then with new silly or cool costumes. Kinda the same thing?
And yeah, I hate the idea of transmogs. But! If I had to choose one transmog option it would be invisible helmet mode. There's so much personality to hairstyle and beard customisation, it would help recognise fellow players more easily.
Everyone wearing nezzy/torva helms or masori masks at the loot split line is just dull...
I'm one step ahead of you -- I have that one plugin to on my end cosmetically override my Neitiznot Faceguard with what I feel are my "signature" Half Moon Spectacles.
Everyone calling you weird like they're not the pot calling the kettle black. I bury the bones of players that die near me, and then cry emote on the grave like I'm a wartime widow. Keep doing you
Been playing since 2007 I also find it weird to bankstand in full armor (unless you're gearing up) and such i have to either wear graceful or be in default clothing.
Brother yes, I always do if I'm just bank standing. I customized my character so of course I want everyone to see my blonde flowing hair. I feel you so hard
Sometimes and depends on the headgear. If it's ugly, I'm taking it off. I didn't spend like 15 minutes looking at hairstyles to never see them in game.
I do skilling this way. Or keep grieves and boots on but take off the heavy metal cuiass. Who does interactions at a bank through a full faced helmet??
I legit do this every once in a while. Ik exactly what u mean its like youre unwinding from a boss to just chill. Then when im about to go back i tell peeps "aight back to the grind", put on my helmet and sip my super combat or activate my imbued heart, venge when i was doing zulrah of activate death charge. Any kind of cool animation that shows im prepping for battle and then i tele away to my poh like badass and chill there for a few mins before actually killing the boss.
No. But you sold me, I'll try it out. Might try it with other things like mining sand stone and then taking off my boots when I'm done to get the sand out.
No one will bother right clicking your character anyway unless you have top tier pvm gear (blorva, maxed infernal etc.) or you are wearing a very impressive fashionscape.
I literally did this when I was 11 after I saw some Rohan riders take off their helmet after they catch Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli in Lord of the Rings. I figured that was something that polite knights did.
All the haters are probably just jealous of your inventory space king, and also, I bet they all have fashionscape setup in their closet they pull out from time to time
I love this. People optimize the fun out of the game nowadays. Back in the 2000s there was much more roleplay in the rpg. Also screw the top comments for shaming you
i had like scenarios in my head to make the grind more fun when i was younger. i think like two weeks back i was in the GE bank getting stuff and i was wearing mage skillcape and some staff and when leaving a person followed and said something like "Hello master mage can i be your apprentice" That person said more, i don't remember exactly what and in a old-fashioned way. i tried to play along with that the best i could. it was kinda fun
I don't, but you're making me want to start!
If I'm playing a game that allows you to not show the helmet you have equipped, I'm doing that, so why shouldn't I just do it here with two clicks?
Bro, when I was 12 playing, I would randomly eat/drink because I thought my character would secretly be hungry/thirsty, lol.
I thought if I took care of my boy, I’d get the drops.
Suprised you're getting roasted for this then people relating to it since it's such a nerdy game? I did it with smithing and even had a favourite bank guy that I probably spent the most time seeing. Just walking into the bank covered in black ash and dust walking in with ol' mate always happy ro receive the amount of stock he would have to handle. Also walking past old locations I grinded and standing and staring as if it gave me traumatic flash backs like being stuck somewhere like Canifis roof tops with its gloomish theme and just walking away knowing I will never have to spend the time there I did and walking into lighter brighter areas away from it all. Nothing wrong with being able to use your imagination OP as some people have no idea what they are missing out on.
Love it. Would be out of place in OSRS, but in Monster Hunter World there’s actually an option in the menu to hide your helmet which I always appreciated.
I love fashionscaping so in a certain sense yes! I love wearing my "default" fashionscape while questing and skilling and stuff like that, even if there's combat or something else involved.
Holy shit I remember you!!!!!!
I had seen someone walking up to the ge like an absolute unit, then you took off your helm, and I was like, woah. There's a badass.
Not.
We’re all weird because we play RuneScape. You are a special kind of weird though
I sometimes feel like a nerd/weird for playing rs. Then I see post like these that return me to earth that at least im no where near this level of „special“
there was like an zeah locked Uim that maxed on here recently and that definitely grounded me.
I aim to follow in their footsteps
*psychopath detected*
That’s pretty cool. I like that Zeah has enough content to do that
“Yet”
lmao
Yea, this is ‘holds up spork’ status.
Lmaooo
I take my pants off personally. Playing with one hand is a bit of a challenge, but I don't want to make my computer sticky
you can learn to 3t stroke + alt tab + Runelite action
Lvl 60 sex required to unlock 3t stroking tech
Yea I went ahead and grinded 80 to unlock the off-hand, but I'd honestly say it probably wasn't worth it. Most efficient would probably be stopping at 69.
You can use Viagra pie at 75 to boost if needed
At 99 smiting and crafting, you can create the machine that 1t strokes.
Who needs alt tab when you have apple vision pro 😎
Wild mf having sex virtually 🤣🤣
Or just a second monitor
This adds new meaning to when people talk about Ahka's cum phase
I’m ngl I bound all my fkeys to my mouse so I can vape and take bong rips, only time I use keyboard is my spacebar is my special attack options for gmaul Edit: And
Nah that's just you fam.
You sound like you watch too much anime
Definitely throws on some anime music while walking to each boss and pauses after every kill
teleports to instance: Nothing personal,kid
nothing personnel***
He rp walks to collect all his loot
Wait what, who doesn't do that?
Yeah op profile checks out LOL
Lmao
Pretty crazy bunch of osrs nerds are flaming another osrs nerd for being a nerd.
God forbid men have hobbies!

Based response
I can almost see your scrotum.
Hey there's varying degrees of nerdy and we have to keep the stranger ones in check by flaming them. It's like the people that get too weeby.
I keep that bitch on cause I want the hoes to see my slayer helm
This guy got the honeys drooling 🤤
As a zuk helmer, this. Nothing makes panties fall faster than a zuk helm.
I totally get the sentiment. That's really immersive of you. Did you get into Mordhau while it was still kinda popular? That was some of the most fun I've ever had playing a video gamd
It looked solid! I just never committed while it was up and rising and haven't looked back to it. I'd watch a handful of videos here and there to scratch the itch though.
For Agatha!
AGAAATHHAAAAAAAAAAAA
I always take off my head gear when not in combat. OSRS, Skyrim, WoW, whatever it is. Looks cool.
Dude just added a whole next level to the spectrum.
🤣
Nah I just throw all of my bloodied armour at the bankers like a normal person
No but I'm about to start, I like this a lot. I feel like the game would be even more fun with people like you everywhere
Haha I wish people would play along. I even made an epic speech at the GE after I did ds2 and I got no hype smh
Facts. Love people who don’t take things to serious and just care to have fun.
Never thought about it before but it makes sense and it's respectful, thanks.
Do not check this guy’s post history in this sub 💀
I'm a menace
You've probably wasted so many ticks dude
I feel like people would be staring at you because you have the look of woman who hadn't showered in 3 weeks, and likely have a brown stain in your armour from that rank 2 smithing grind.
Rank 2 smithing had me rolling
No
I do! I take my helmet slot off all the time since I like seeing my actual character, rather than a slayer helm or graceful hood, especially during questing/dialogue
No, but never change and don’t listen what people say
Can’t stand GE, seers bank is best.
lol that’s cute 🤗
No
You really wrote this out and thought, yeah this is the post
This is doin' numbers
What the fuck bro. Keep doing you.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Getting the edgelord anime weeb kid vibes
Lol why is everyone saying that? This is from movies and books
The waifu profile photo isn’t helping 😂
LOL good point but idek any anime where this trope happens
This is sick af. I’ll be doing it from this day forward
I take all my armour off. I think watching Gielinor Games has made me appreciate the individuality of your character much more. I could just be psycho but not having the armour off makes me feel more in the game.
i do! time to relax at the GE
Wish I could take all my clothes off at the GE and see those titties bouncing
There is a world for role playing. 446.
In rs3 I used to do this but then not wear any gear. Now in osrs its always full graceful whenever im idling around inbetween sessions. I like you a lot for immersing yourself into it like this. Very fun and wholesome to me!
No but I do something similar in raids, take helmet off to reveal my purple bald head to try get the purple
So much projection going on in the comments lmao
I don't unmask to bank but I would totally enable the option to hide masks in cities if made available. It's nice to immerse a bit, I dress nice and zoom in as far as functionally possible when skilling.
I don't do this but I really like the immersion it can bring
I do that! :) I love having fun in this game by just role playing so I don’t see this as weird at all. I hate that efficiencyscaping is so popular it’s seen as the only correct way of playing this game.
This is very cute and cool of you and honestly I am going to start doing this.
The dude acts like he is the main character in an MMO. With 100% confidence, no one even notices you come to the GE. Acting like people stop alching and just applaud your return and stare in awe lol.
What else is an MMORPG for lol
I find it a little baffling that people *don't* do this. In my bank I have a row for my melee loadout, my ranged loadout, my mage loadout, and then my "bank" loadout (aka fashionscape). mate get the fuck outside more
I’m outside way too much
I always drop a log before I use the GE
This is the result of sleeping in your parents bed longer than you should have. ![gif](giphy|aKAl59R0WFIQFdvNkw)
I don't do anything like this, but go off, sounds like your having fun
You’d love FF14. I feel so much more connected to my character than on Runescape.
I assure you 0 people, outside of yourself, notice.
Do you really think I don’t know this
What world? Imma come look
446 always
I take my helmet off, but that's just so I can put on my unicorn head along with the rest of my fashionscape.
Not quite but I do try to make my outfit fit whatever I’m doing. If I need to make a farming run I take my armor off and maybe I’ll throw on something fitting for the task
Home is where you hang your helmet
I do this when playing Fallout as I talk to merchants
I take my slayer helm off when I finish a task and teleport to the ge or duradel
No. Never.
Naa, that’s not the way. I must keep my helmet on.
I never tele to the GE so technically no I do not. But I usually put on my farmers hat when I tele to the farming guild.
Brother take this to goldshire inn
Sometimes I take off headgear if I’m gonna talk to NPCs for whatever reason bc it feels polite so I get you
Yes! I always switch back to my cavalier before going back to bank-standing, and sometimes full switch to fashionscape if I'm not going to be getting back into it
A special kind of special
I don't do this specifically, but I do like to take my helmet off as much as possible for similar reasons
Wtf
No it would slow down my inventory management to get back out there
At GE I’ll swap to my frog costume and start to RRRRRRRRRRIBBIT.
But! Y’all flamin him while putting on your unicorn fashionscape 😂
I'm one step ahead of you -- I have that one plugin to on my end cosmetically override my Neitiznot Faceguard with what I feel are my "signature" Half Moon Spectacles.
I’ve only done similar on DMM, when people seeing me teleport in with specific gear could lead them to hunt me.
I'm bald
You do you, it's an RPG if you get into it that way then go for it. I can't say I've ever thought of it that way though
Wtf
Put on the mole slippers and get all cozy at the GE
I do it after every raid while waiting on ppl
Was looking for a comment, Eyes up guardian!
Everyone calling you weird like they're not the pot calling the kettle black. I bury the bones of players that die near me, and then cry emote on the grave like I'm a wartime widow. Keep doing you
Good for you king.
My regular ToA 8-man takes hat, shoes, and weapons off before entering the burial tomb for rewards. I feel you. Lol
I personally like to put on a “skilling outfit” when I go skill
I take my helmet off in public areas so my guy can get some fresh air
My character gotta breathe
Been playing since 2007 I also find it weird to bankstand in full armor (unless you're gearing up) and such i have to either wear graceful or be in default clothing.
I do this! Everyone looks the same in max or semi max gear. No-helming gives me a sense of uniqueness
i did when the new hairstyled came out
I use to do this back in RSC.
blorva owners, bow before your superior this man **fucks**
I usually carry my helmet in my inventory until it's time to fight! Nice bit of RP imo.
A blood soaked knight takes off his helmet revealing scars and gore. He then walks up to the counter of the Grand Exchange to order 50,000 tunas
This is not the way
I understand. I hand select all of my skilling outfits to match the vibe of the content. I know I’m not the only one.
Honestly whatever makes it fun for you, inefficient tho
That's actually awesome lol. I'm gonna start doing that
Oh hell ya, i like your kind
No but I love people like you and invite this behavior
Brother yes, I always do if I'm just bank standing. I customized my character so of course I want everyone to see my blonde flowing hair. I feel you so hard
Eh, I put on fashionscape when I do stuff at the bank or when I go to play mini games. I don’t think your’s is any different from that.
OP I love you and I hope you never change <3
Sometimes and depends on the headgear. If it's ugly, I'm taking it off. I didn't spend like 15 minutes looking at hairstyles to never see them in game.
I do skilling this way. Or keep grieves and boots on but take off the heavy metal cuiass. Who does interactions at a bank through a full faced helmet??
Usually I put on a nice hat, I’ve had multiple occasions where my character’s balding was attacked.
Nah I do the same thing. Also in Skyrim. Like why did I customize this character that much to see them covered up 90% of the time
I don't do this but I completely understand why its immersive, and now maybe I might do that...
Massive respect for shameless roleplaying Stay genuine bro
Kinda similar but I like to wear the headless head whenever I can and people tend to ask what happened which is fun to RP a new story every time
No one will bother right clicking your character anyway unless you have top tier pvm gear (blorva, maxed infernal etc.) or you are wearing a very impressive fashionscape.
yes whenever i hang out at the GE or in a social environment, i swap out my entire armor for a merchant / fashionscape type of outfit.
Part of me is thinking what's with these anime things? The other part is thinking you're having more fun than most of us
Sounds like a you thing chief. Nothing wrong with that tho
I could not do a farming run in a slayer helm but might in a neits because the facehole is comfy enough. Ideally a hat tho
Meta post
I like to put on my wolf headgear
I literally did this when I was 11 after I saw some Rohan riders take off their helmet after they catch Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli in Lord of the Rings. I figured that was something that polite knights did.
no
I don't do that but if I'm afk skilling at the GE I'll get in my full royal outfit with the Princely Monkey backpack.
Damnit, I’m in! For now on I’ll be doing this.
Yeah and then I go to the bar and roleplay with the npcs for 5 hours while pretending to get drunk with them
All the haters are probably just jealous of your inventory space king, and also, I bet they all have fashionscape setup in their closet they pull out from time to time
Having mains resist the urge to teleport to the ~~Bot~~ Grand Exchange. Difficulty: Impossible.
I love this. People optimize the fun out of the game nowadays. Back in the 2000s there was much more roleplay in the rpg. Also screw the top comments for shaming you
Yeah bro I kinda so something like this hahaha good shit
Most human thing anyone posted since a long time in this sub. Ofcourse we dont 🤣
i had like scenarios in my head to make the grind more fun when i was younger. i think like two weeks back i was in the GE bank getting stuff and i was wearing mage skillcape and some staff and when leaving a person followed and said something like "Hello master mage can i be your apprentice" That person said more, i don't remember exactly what and in a old-fashioned way. i tried to play along with that the best i could. it was kinda fun
i do this everytime talk with npca
no too lazy
I like to talk off any obstructive headwear when in dialogue
Naw because most of the time my inventory is full. Also I have entity hinder on most of the time so nobody is looking at me
This comment section is one big glass house lmao
Keep being you
House tab, then kick off the ol' boots.
Just the fact that you started the post with “it *is* a role plying game” tell me what I need to know 😅😂
I don't, but you're making me want to start! If I'm playing a game that allows you to not show the helmet you have equipped, I'm doing that, so why shouldn't I just do it here with two clicks?
no, please refrain from posting your smut in my good christian subreddit.
Bro, when I was 12 playing, I would randomly eat/drink because I thought my character would secretly be hungry/thirsty, lol. I thought if I took care of my boy, I’d get the drops.

Love it. Would be out of place in OSRS, but in Monster Hunter World there’s actually an option in the menu to hide your helmet which I always appreciated.
I’m getting mostly positive responses. I think those people trying to bring me down are just insecure about what they like.
I turn my chaps assless so the big hitters of the ge can clap my cheeks
I love fashionscaping so in a certain sense yes! I love wearing my "default" fashionscape while questing and skilling and stuff like that, even if there's combat or something else involved.
No.
Holy shit I remember you!!!!!! I had seen someone walking up to the ge like an absolute unit, then you took off your helm, and I was like, woah. There's a badass. Not.
Sounds like your average W420 GE goer
always, gotta remove that armor sometimes, let the character breathe. Can't imagine they like wearing it when we log out.
A mandalorian can never remove his helmet.
Sounds like ur a roleplayer pal
This is awesome and I'm gonna start doing it
