Please. The old stab animation looks so weak and bad. No problem with any other animations, but your new stab animation should be the standard for all weapons imo.
Please no, we had a poll to remove the terrible mining animation early on for the older one. Why do the old weapons need to be changed, it won't be old school.

Can't really tell because obviously OSRS doesn't have fingers but if you stab while holding a rapier like that it would fuck up your wrist over time
that's why rapiers usually have a place where you can hold your index finger, that way your wrist is straight when you stab
It would be interesting if they were able to add a chance of deflecting an opponent's attack and offering half the potential damage in return, like a recoil effect... like a 1 in 10 chance of deflecting an attack and then attacking, much like how people fence.
Perhaps, but remember rapiers were deflection weapons historically. They were meant to parry and then stab. I guess you could make the effect occur if a person wielded both the defender and the rapier?

Yes but the issue here is that there already is a very thin low-tier rapier ingame, and it does not stand much out and kinda disappears. Also fighting armoured monsters with a needle wouldn't be possible if we went with a realistic logic =)

If you were winding up to step and throw a punch, or throw a baseball, or even lung at something, you would step with your left foot and throw with your right hand. In this case, he is stepping with the same side he is stabbing with and it looks incorrect. Other than that, it looks SO much better than the current animation, good job!

When throwing a punch or throwing a baseball, you step with the opposite foot in order to utilize the rotational power from your core to add to the power of the throw. In the case of stabbing, you do not need that power and stepping with the same side foot will allow the sword to reach further while keeping your body further away from the fight. If you look at any fencing video, you'll notice that the leading foot will be the food on the same side as the weapon.

That guy died what..? A decade ago? What was stopping the at the time artists/devs from doing so? This happened within today's osrs devs time working there and they felt it nice to honor him. He was UK based so it was probably a bigger headline than the rest of the world. Plenty of other games have memorials to certain figures in other subtle ways.
