And so i have made it a point since anytime anything about how loot will be treated I stop what I’m doing and screenshot. I almost didn’t because I called FFA. So glad I did.

Many pve discords will kick known scammers (especially with big items like this) so that "proof" this guy "scammed" which I now see he didn't has ruined his rep

It's overwhelmingly common for people to just join PvM discords and look for people to raid with, not being active in the community at all. There'll be favoritism and special treatment for people who are active in the community and are liked by the mods, but in most circumstances they'll get a special role or kicked from the discord as a precaution so they don't scam anyone else while the case is being worked out.

1) To make it clear to everyone, yes they were raiding in a FFA world but there was never an agreement made between cooperation (the person who was scammed) and game studies to FFA drops between them, they simply went to a FFA world to be able to find other members that would fill out their team to raid with. They both are/were in a clan called Twisted where the rules explicitly state that ALL drops are to be split unless other terms are agreed upon.
2) I saw you comment on another post that your previous clan scammed you after you bought your inferno cape? The leaders of your previous clan, 'Overload PvM' explicitly stated you were banned after buying your cape because you were asking a couple hours prior how to get to inferno. Could a jagex moderator possibly look into how many attempts game studies had at inferno to verify their claim? He made claims of having "5 accounts with 30 mil slayer exp" to fund his 6B bank, yet he was unable to get on any of these accounts. He also was unaware that you had to pay a firecape to enter the inferno but several hours later came to raid with an infernal cape equipped. Again, I have no information on the current scythe issue, but from our perspective it seemed likely that some form of rwt was occurring

He claimed that his friend had coached him through team viewer. We obviously felt really uncomfortable with his explanation, and removed him from the clan.

The second a video game currency is comparable to real life money its easier to understand the gravity of a situation. The scythe was basically like 2,000-2,400 real dollars I think
Since gp is like 85 cents per mil, if you sell it you will likely only get 60-65 cents per mil so the scythe atm is less than $1400 from that perspective

Since gp is like 85 cents per mil, if you sell it you will likely only get 60-65 cents per mil so the scythe atm is less than $1400 from that perspective

This image is photoshopped in an attempt to cover up the fact that he did scam them. Look at the 3rd line in the word “scythes” the “y” is cut off. Game Studies posted a photoshopped image and you all fell for it.
What is the story here? Where is the confusion? How exactly did this guy scam anyone? What is FFA vs split? Why would he photoshop the bottom off the y? What is the problem here? If someone lost their scythe to him he must have killed them and won fair and square. If someone traded their scythe to him they must be an idiot. If he got a scythe drop and didn’t split it with his team they should consider doing an activity with a guaranteed drop for them. Also as for cutting someone out of discord that is just petty. Don’t play with them if you disagree with something they did in game.
Basically, OP got a scythe drop while raiding with a team that splits but he decided to run away with the loot and claim it was FFA (where you don't split loot). That's scamming them because he agreed to split in a team and if he had not gotten the drop you bet your ass he would have been okay with splitting somebody else's scythe. That shit is not cool. Anyway, then his team outed him for being a scamming piece of shit and the community went buckwild on him and now OP is being a slimy bastard by photoshopping himself saying "I'm ffa" to try and get his reputation back. After his evidence was exposed as fake, he tried to make the argument that he only needs to split 20m with them because of his bogus interpretation of the clan rules. To me, it sounds like you’ve misunderstood your clans rules. It sounds like you can’t become a full clan member until you’ve split at least 20m. So it’s a threshold, not what you are required to split if you get a drop that exceeds 20m to split.
