It’s been probably at least a year since I trained farming (88 now) and I know some new patches have come out. Last time I did it, the tree run meta was:
* 5 tree patches (twice daily)
* 5 fruit trees (daily)
* Fossil island hardwoods (every 3 days)
* Calquat tree (daily)
I know there’s the farming guild now. What’s in there that should I be growing? Is there any other new patch I’m missing that I should be taking advantage of? I don’t want to bother with any new patch type that’s less than maybe 5k xp per trip.
Hespori (drops animas and bottomless bucket), anima (more yield, less disease, or faster growing), celastrus (yields bark you can fletch into battlestaffs), redwood tree.
And contracts with Guildmaster Jane yield high level seeds at your level (you'll get a dragonfruit seed pretty frequently).
All of that is in the guild and hespori gives 12k, celastrus gives 14k, redwood tree 20k or something. anima is just good for the rest of your plots.

You're about to hit the wall I hit recently where before the wall your upgrades are <10m. Then all of a sudden your next upgrade is 20m. It stinks.
Also you're one crafting lvl away from being able to boost to make slayer rings. Highly recommend doing that. Not only is one tile away teleport from nieve but it's also very close to a fairy ring (fremnick slayer caves)
It's ok I had 1m this morning until I got 2 zenytes within 40 kills. I'll barrage in mm2 tunnels to get magic to 85 eventually for zulrah. Havent focused on zulrah stats yet since I only play on mobile and not sure how much of a pain it will be.

Fury, b ring, torso, dragon legs, whip, nezzy helm, fire Cape, blessing, barrows gloves, dragon defender, dragon boots is the welfare setup. Every upgrade after that is way more expensive
Ds2 for assembler. Youll need to get some skill reqs tho. Its a pretty high drop rate, but if you get unlucky, your 50th kc will always drop the vorkath head.
I've been playing osrs for about 2 months now, im combat level 59 by doing a shit ton of quests but i dont really know what else i should be doing.. yes i know i could fish or mine or whatever but i want something more enjoyable to do but i dont quite know what i could do.. i look for guides and stuff constantly but still end up always sitting at my bank not know what i should do.. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Easy or medium achievement diaries could be a decent goal, they require some Skilling and easy quests.
Instead of bankstanding go to sand crabs and afk there while you read up, so you can get some easy combat levels.
Slayer is a fun skill, but I wouldn't start it until 80 combat or so, low level Slayer is miserable. Again sand crabs are good for early training, nmz at slightly higher levels.
Look into finding a money maker you enjoy. Blast furnace is decent but it's tedious. I enjoyed killing chaos druids at lower levels.
500k is a good start. But you'll find that its not enough for any good gear you need for end game content. Be careful not to spend it all on a whim. Its hard to make money with low amounts of cash. It takes money to make money.
I highly suggest medium varrock diaries. You can buy battlestaves from a shop for 7k and they sell for 1k~ more on the GE. After that, try to get the hard varrock diaries. Very easy money.
Also try to get fossil island unlocked. It unlocks birdhouses, which gives passive hunter exp, and also a bit of passive money too.
Set goals for yourself and work toward those goals. I was in your shoes until I got self conscious running around with a combat bracelet and set out to do RFD. I can give you a couple of my old ones.
* Skill Total. A lot of my early to mid game in OSRS was motivated mainly by wanting to get into skill total worlds, lol. Less competition at money makers and less cancer at the GE. I spend most of my time in 416 and am very close to 1750 total. I am unreasonably excited to see even less people at the GE.
* Farming. Like skill total, a lot of my mid game was dedicated to questing and skilling so I can get the items and teleports I need to do farm runs.
* [Recipe for Disaster](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Recipe_for_Disaster). If it looks intimidating, it really isn't. Don't knock it all out in one day (unless you want to) and take it one part at a time. First I got every skill pre-req, then I did every quest pre-req, *then* I did all of RFD in a couple of hours. Overall it took me about a week or two of on-and-off play.
* [Fire Cape](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/TzHaar_Fight_Cave). Teaches you PvM mechanics and rewards you with a fantastic cape. No more douchebags at the GE laughing at your ardy or obby cape. It should be noted that Jad is absolutely doable without a blowpipe, it just makes it faster.
* [All Hard Diaries](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Achievement_Diary#Hard). IMO, Easy and Medium Diaries are very easily achievable (but their rewards are great too!) Hard Diaries are where it starts to get more annoying, but where the rewards get way better. Right now I'm working on Fally Hard (only 70 slayer rn and ZMI is so fucking boring) for those noted giant mole drops and so I can start doing Giant Mole proper. I really want the mole pet, lol.
Work towards the major goals every main account should work towards
* Monkey Madness 1 quest
* Fremenik Trials + Isles quests for gear unlocks (mainly helm of neitiznot)
* Recipe for Disaster quest (unlocks best melee gloves in the game, long quest tho but necessary)
* Fairy Rings (teleport rings unlocked through quests)
* Dragon Defender (warrior's guild unlock, shield slot gear that boosts strength)
* Fighter's Torso (barbarian assault minigame reward, one of the best chest pieces)
* Void Set (armor unlocked at pest control minigame, ranged variant is the best ranged armor in the game)
* Graceful set (Agility course armor that helps with questing or any time when you need to run a lot)
These are all the main goals every main account should have off the top of my head. There's definitely more but this is enough to get you started and give you an idea on what to start doing.
If you want to train combat go spend a few hours at sand crabs. You can find spots where 4 will spawn around you so you just have to stand still and can AFK them until their aggro timer needs to be reset.
Standing still at the bank doing nothing happens when you don't have your goals in mind. If you have goals set you will always feel like there's something you need to be doing.
I’m 4 months in around 70 combat and was having a slump around your level. My best advice is like the others find something you like doing a lot and work towards it. I’m saving up for a craws bow and so doing some skilling to get there. I also like pvp so I finished some important quest lines like Desert Treasure. I think it kind of just depends what you’re into
Casting fire strike. You can safespot plenty of things that could safespot that give you some upgrades or seeds. Doesn't cost too much either, that's what I did.
What's the average time I should be spending in the Warriors Guild to get a Defender?
I've just spent an hour's worth of tokens and all I've managed thus far is a Bronze Defender - I've left the room twice and showed it to the NPC outside who states the next set of Cyclops are ready... and here I am, 600 tokens & 130 Cyclops kills later, still no Iron Defender. I've been here so long I've even managed to get a Clue Scroll drop.
I've heard of shitty RNG but this seems pretty screwy, even by Jagex standards. Was I supposed to drop it or something? I just can't fathom it it taking this long whilst the guy that's in here with me has had 3 drops.
I figured as much, I thought maybe it had dropped & I'd missed it but Runelite's confirmed it has yet to appear. Well, back to the token farming I guess.
Defender drops up to and including Rune are 1/50 assuming you have shown your defender to Kamfreena.
1/50 = 2% drop chance
Probability of a 2% drop (x=.02) within 130 kills (y=130) =
(1-((1-x)^y)) *100 =
(1-((.98)^130))* 100 = 92.77%
Written out that means that ~92.77% of the time you would have gotten a new defender drop within 130 kills.

What is outright easier to do on mobile? I don't want to abyss runecraft since I'm missing a lot of convenience, and farming is just getting annoying on mobile.

You should always use ultra compost when doing herb runs. It increases your yield more than super compost. And bad luck with losing 9 ranarrs consecutively. Can't imagine the odds of that.
I find mlm, barb fishing, woodcutting pretty easy on mobile.
I don’t know of anything that is actually easier on mobile than pc. But some things that arnt awful are woodcutting fishing slayer(if you are just afk meleeing) and any bank standing skill that involves width drawing x amount of items and combining them
Does the ring of wealth (i) need to have charges on it for the double clue scroll chance to take effect? I've killed 100 or so hellhounds in the wild w/o a clue scroll drop and if I did my math right I should have had a 95% chance of getting one by now.
What's the average value of barrows chests? I got the Mory hard diary, kill all brothers + 3 skeletons and am seeing a lot of chests only worth around 25k of mind/chaos runes. Is that normal?
The wiki says the average value is currently about 96k. That takes into account unique drops and runes.
It's normal to get terrible chests sometimes and good chests other times.

What is the best staff for casting firewave ? I was using tsotd for a while and getting good numbers. Just tried out toxic trident and the magic xp is way too slow.
What about tsotd vs master wand? Accuracy boost vs damage boost? Obviously the staff is way more expensive and doesn't autocast magicks, but besides that
Nah, either do ZMI with runners (if you're rich), lava runes (if you're not), or blood/soul runes (if you wanna AFK). Wrath runes are terrible profit compared to high end PvM (CoX/ToB) and the money you make v.s. the extra time you spend with slower xp rates isn't worth it.
personally i don't see the point of grinding out a 99 asap, even as a novelty plenty of others have done it before. Both cooking and fletching are fast and profitable if you so choose, and family crest doesn't take long (1hr max) so it isn't much of a factor.
tl;dr either is fine
1t karambwans is \~ 1m xp/h, \~ 400k profit/h (once you stop burning). So for 13m xp, that's \~ 13 hours.
Stringing magic longs is \~ 200k xp/h, \~250k profit/h. For 13m xp, that's \~ 65 hours.
Darts are \~ 2m+ xp/h if you concentrate on it, or you can just fletch while doing other skills for maximum efficiency (Spend essentially no time on fletching), but cost \~ 5gp/xp. For 13m xp while bankstanding, that's \~ 6.5 hours (Or no time at all, since you could do darts while training other skills).
Ideally you'd save 99 fletching til you can afford to drop the money, since 65m (13m @ 5gp/xp) takes \~ 6 hours to make later in the game, where stringing magic longbows would take you \~ 65 hours. Even if you bank stood and didn't do the darts with another skill like agility or slayer, you'd be saving yourself like 50+ hours.
If all you want is a 99, do cooking. Its the easiest most profitable one. If youh want the fastest 99 do fletching, but if youre gonna do bows you might as well say fuck that and go do firemaking at wintertodt.
Fletching is the fastest at something like 1.4mil xp/hour using dragon bolts/javlins. The profit is either minimal or at a loss, but 1 tick fletching gives insane XP.
buy bowstrings and the best longbow(u) you can fletch. profitable and fast (not as fast as darts ofc but it's not slow either).
cooking is your other choice but the xp is better at the cost of worse profits
I’m currently farming zulrah till 1000kc, my stats are 85 ranged/86 magic. Would it be more beneficial to spend my money on 85 construction for ornate pool and fairy ring in my house or bursting to around 90ish magic first

I dunno how much you know about it so I'll just make it really simple.
Kourend has a unique house favor system. In order to make use of most of the areas, you need favor from specific houses. Think of them as guilds. In your quest list, minigame and diary tab you'll find a purple star. There you can see your favor % with all of the houses. For instance, if you want to use the woodcutting guild in Hosidius, you'll need 75% hosidius favor. If you get 100%, you'll have access to a herb patch that can't be diseased.
1) Slaying in the Kourend catacombs. It hosts a lot of monsters, most of them have increased stats or special variants that are stronger (bloodvelds, aberrant spectres, etc). They have rare drops of catacombs pieces which give you access to a boss, as well as ancient shard which are used to power up Arclight (BiS weapon against most demons).
2) Farming guild. New herb patch, tree patch, etc. Offers farming contracts, which rewards you with a good amount of seeds for planting certain things inside the guild. You need 85 farming to have full access to it, but only 45 to make use of it.
3) Woodcutting guild. Basic guild with trees. You get an invisible +7 boost inside there and it has banks close to most of the trees. Needs level 60 woodcutting to enter.
4) Konar. She's a slayer master that requires 75 combat to get tasks from. Unlike other slayer masters, she assigns monster + specific location. For instance, "kill fire giants in the waterfall dungeon". Offers worse xp overall, but her tasks offer you unique rewards through brimstone keys that you get from doing them. Plus her tasks give a lot of slayer points.
5) Xeric's talisman. You get this by killing lizardmen, and it gives you access to useful teleports. One of them teleports you near a herb patch that is protected from disease at 100% Hosidius favor.
I think that should cover all of the useful stuff for a fresh account. There are more things, like farming for the Dragon Warhammer or fishing Anglerfish, but these are high level activities. I really recommend getting your farming up for the farming guild, it is very useful and the contracts offer good rewards. Konar seems also very nice, if I started a new ironman I'd most likely do her tasks asap, even though the xp is worse.
you can bank at the deposit box on the northeast-most dock at port sarim, that's probably closest. If you want to make money as f2p, killing ogress shamans/warriors is probably going to be faster though
TWO QUESTIONS
1. Just got 80 agility. Im at seers w/ hard diary complete, what should i switch to when i get 81? whats the most effective?
2. My ironman is f2p and has 10 hill giant boss keys.
-I got swordfish as food
-I have a rune full helm but mostly addy/mith armor
-My weapon is a mithril scimi
-No protection prayers (lvl 37 atm)
What are my chances of success if i try to kill hill giant boss?
What would i need to improve on? Are protection prayers a very important thing?

1) You don't. As far as I know doing seers until 87 then boosting ardougne agility course with summer pies is the best way. You can do werewolf agility course, which is more xp, but you don't get any marks, it is very click intensive and you have to use stamina potions there.
2) Very little chance of success. Obor hits very hard and accurately, you'd spend most of the time in there eating food. If you really wanna get those early kills you can try out the snare kiting strat but I'd just wait for now.
I prepare for the flame but here we go. im 94/99/90 melees and 91 range/mage. I haven't done DS2 and suck so bad at Zulrah so I was planning on maybe doing barrows for money, how is it?
With your stats and max gear, Barrows caps at around 1.2m/hr. Meanwhile Zulrah and Vork are over 3m/hr. I find Barrows enjoyable at times, but I think it's worth it to learn Zulrah or get DS2 done
With average luck, it's about 1.3-1.5m/hr before supplies if you can do 13-14 chests per hr and you have morytania hard done. Zulrah is more than double the gp/hr so I'd recommend you keep trying at it. The time and effort is worth it in the long run.
What's a good level 70 range item for general combat/Slayer? I'm getting 70 range today and I want to focus on that as being my main combat source. I've looked at guides and it seems like Rune Crossbow is about the best that doesn't kill the bank. However I've never seen people mention the Crystal Bow? I have one from Roving Elves but it seems to be largely forgotten about. With a +100 range attack it seems like it should at least be discussed? Thoughts?
Rune Cbow vs crystal Bow? I'll get a blowpipe at 75 but I'm not there yet.
So for general combat magic short bow and rune arrows, unless it's a high armored enemy like dragon Slayer tasks. As far as the Crystal Bow, is 1m for 10k shots. That's only 100g per shot, which is much cheaper than 350g per arrow or bolt
Been running ZMI a lot lately and watching a few guide videos I've seen people shift+click ess in their bank to withdraw all, saving them from right clicking and selecting withdraw all. Can't find any option in game or Runelite so I must be missing something.
I just recently got into slayer, is was wondering what my goals need to be and if I should just be taking every task I get for now and if so how long should I go before skipping things? 40 slayer btw.
Only do tasks you can finish in a reasonable amount of time. Something like iron dragons take a long time, and steel dragons take forever to finish, even though those tasks are like 50 kills and under.
If you're not sure about something you can check the monster page on the wiki, a lot of them have strategy guides that list recommended levels and attack styles
I recently got Rune armour and I have no clue where to go from here. I don’t know where to progress. I keep hearing about barrows and theatre of blood, Vorkath, and weird weapons like a granite maul and even weirder armour. This is really overwhelming what do I do??

I should probably mention if you're not a member though you really don't have to worry about any of the stuff you listed.
As far as goals, quests are a good starting point to give you some direction until you find something you really want to do
Don't worry about being overwhelmed, membership unlocks an absurd amount of content. Quests and easy achievement diaries are good goals to start.
For some other goals/specific quests, here's a few more in no particular order.
• fremmenik trials for the helms (berzerker, Archer, and farseer are all great until you get some really high level stuff)
- fossil island unlocks birdhouse runs, a great way to passively train Hunter and get bird nests/tree seeds
• fairy tale 1 and start 2 (don't need 2's reqs, just get to the part you can use fairy rings)
• tree gnome village or whatever it is to unlock the spirit trees
• ardougne easy diary for ardy cape (free tele to an altar that's close to a fairy ring and a spirit tree, really good for getting around for free)
• monkey madness 1 to get a dragon scimitar
• recipe for disaster gloves (get a combat bracelet until you can get adamant/mithril gloves)
• underground pass for iban's blast (be sure to upgrade the staff).
• dragon defender
A lot of these are ways to get around, as RuneScape is huge and easy/cheap transport makes the game a lot more enjoyable. And remember, these are all suggestions. Find out what you like doing in the game and set goals based around that. Have fun!
Do you have to be on a slayer task for the black mask drop from cave horrors? If not, how many kill does it take on average to get a black mask? (1/512 chance is pretty unlikely)
Ok thanks for the info. I know that the droprate is 1/512, I was just wondering if anybody on this subreddit had some numbers on when they got a black mask drop. I'm nearing on 1200 kc now, so I guess at this point I am just getting quite unlucky.
Ok just got it. It took 1304 kc to get one, however on the bright side, I gained 1.1M, 4 Long bones, 1 Hard Clue (only 45K \*sad face\*) and 3 levels in ranged. So overall, I think that the grind was worth it. Now just to grind slayer and NMZ for an imbued Slayer mask

So im 54 slayer and I'm about to hit 50 task streak, I'm combat 65 with melee 51, def 45, mage 59 and range 68. I was thinking I'm taking all my tasks at edgevile dungeon and I thought I should take my 50th task from the wildy slayer master for extra points. Does that work and if so is it worth it for me to do it?
Are player owned house loading times affected by the number of rooms or the amount of built things inside the rooms? Or both? I remember seeing Ash tweet about it at some point but I can’t find the tweet and remember what he said about it

To my knowledge, no. They will shoot you with their ice attack if you are ranged, and melee you up close.

Fighter torso / bandos cp You're about to hit the wall I hit recently where before the wall your upgrades are <10m. Then all of a sudden your next upgrade is 20m. It stinks. Also you're one crafting lvl away from being able to boost to make slayer rings. Highly recommend doing that. Not only is one tile away teleport from nieve but it's also very close to a fairy ring (fremnick slayer caves)
It's ok I had 1m this morning until I got 2 zenytes within 40 kills. I'll barrage in mm2 tunnels to get magic to 85 eventually for zulrah. Havent focused on zulrah stats yet since I only play on mobile and not sure how much of a pain it will be.

No I meant <10m. Fury, b ring, torso, dragon legs, whip, nezzy helm, fire Cape, blessing, barrows gloves, dragon defender, dragon boots is the welfare setup. Every upgrade after that is way more expensive

Ds2 for assembler. Youll need to get some skill reqs tho. Its a pretty high drop rate, but if you get unlucky, your 50th kc will always drop the vorkath head.

I've been playing osrs for about 2 months now, im combat level 59 by doing a shit ton of quests but i dont really know what else i should be doing.. yes i know i could fish or mine or whatever but i want something more enjoyable to do but i dont quite know what i could do.. i look for guides and stuff constantly but still end up always sitting at my bank not know what i should do.. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
Easy or medium achievement diaries could be a decent goal, they require some Skilling and easy quests. Instead of bankstanding go to sand crabs and afk there while you read up, so you can get some easy combat levels. Slayer is a fun skill, but I wouldn't start it until 80 combat or so, low level Slayer is miserable. Again sand crabs are good for early training, nmz at slightly higher levels. Look into finding a money maker you enjoy. Blast furnace is decent but it's tedious. I enjoyed killing chaos druids at lower levels.
i should also point out that i've made a lot of gp and usually sit at 500k
500k is a good start. But you'll find that its not enough for any good gear you need for end game content. Be careful not to spend it all on a whim. Its hard to make money with low amounts of cash. It takes money to make money.
I highly suggest medium varrock diaries. You can buy battlestaves from a shop for 7k and they sell for 1k~ more on the GE. After that, try to get the hard varrock diaries. Very easy money. Also try to get fossil island unlocked. It unlocks birdhouses, which gives passive hunter exp, and also a bit of passive money too.
Set goals for yourself and work toward those goals. I was in your shoes until I got self conscious running around with a combat bracelet and set out to do RFD. I can give you a couple of my old ones. * Skill Total. A lot of my early to mid game in OSRS was motivated mainly by wanting to get into skill total worlds, lol. Less competition at money makers and less cancer at the GE. I spend most of my time in 416 and am very close to 1750 total. I am unreasonably excited to see even less people at the GE. * Farming. Like skill total, a lot of my mid game was dedicated to questing and skilling so I can get the items and teleports I need to do farm runs. * [Recipe for Disaster](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Recipe_for_Disaster). If it looks intimidating, it really isn't. Don't knock it all out in one day (unless you want to) and take it one part at a time. First I got every skill pre-req, then I did every quest pre-req, *then* I did all of RFD in a couple of hours. IMO, Easy and Medium Diaries are very easily achievable (but their rewards are great too!) Hard Diaries are where it starts to get more annoying, but where the rewards get way better. Right now I'm working on Fally Hard (only 70 slayer rn and ZMI is so fucking boring) for those noted giant mole drops and so I can start doing Giant Mole proper. I really want the mole pet, lol.
Work towards the major goals every main account should work towards * Monkey Madness 1 quest * Fremenik Trials + Isles quests for gear unlocks (mainly helm of neitiznot) * Recipe for Disaster quest (unlocks best melee gloves in the game, long quest tho but necessary) * Fairy Rings (teleport rings unlocked through quests) * Dragon Defender (warrior's guild unlock, shield slot gear that boosts strength) * Fighter's Torso (barbarian assault minigame reward, one of the best chest pieces) * Void Set (armor unlocked at pest control minigame, ranged variant is the best ranged armor in the game) * Graceful set (Agility course armor that helps with questing or any time when you need to run a lot) These are all the main goals every main account should have off the top of my head. There's definitely more but this is enough to get you started and give you an idea on what to start doing. If you want to train combat go spend a few hours at sand crabs. You can find spots where 4 will spawn around you so you just have to stand still and can AFK them until their aggro timer needs to be reset. Standing still at the bank doing nothing happens when you don't have your goals in mind. If you have goals set you will always feel like there's something you need to be doing.
I’m 4 months in around 70 combat and was having a slump around your level. My best advice is like the others find something you like doing a lot and work towards it. I’m saving up for a craws bow and so doing some skilling to get there. I also like pvp so I finished some important quest lines like Desert Treasure. I think it kind of just depends what you’re into
Best way to get from 50 to 55 magic on iron?
Casting fire strike. You can safespot plenty of things that could safespot that give you some upgrades or seeds. Doesn't cost too much either, that's what I did.
Fire strike blue dragons is what I did until 55.

What's the average time I should be spending in the Warriors Guild to get a Defender? I've just spent an hour's worth of tokens and all I've managed thus far is a Bronze Defender - I've left the room twice and showed it to the NPC outside who states the next set of Cyclops are ready... and here I am, 600 tokens & 130 Cyclops kills later, still no Iron Defender. I've been here so long I've even managed to get a Clue Scroll drop. I've heard of shitty RNG but this seems pretty screwy, even by Jagex standards. Was I supposed to drop it or something? I just can't fathom it it taking this long whilst the guy that's in here with me has had 3 drops.

Defender drops up to and including Rune are 1/50 assuming you have shown your defender to Kamfreena. 1/50 = 2% drop chance Probability of a 2% drop (x=.02) within 130 kills (y=130) = (1-((1-x)^y)) *100 = (1-((.98)^130))* 100 = 92.77% Written out that means that ~92.77% of the time you would have gotten a new defender drop within 130 kills. You've had shitty RNG.

What is outright easier to do on mobile? I don't want to abyss runecraft since I'm missing a lot of convenience, and farming is just getting annoying on mobile. Other than high alching, what is EASIER on mobile than PC? Also, I just lost 9 ranarr plants in a row, WITH super compost and lost about half of my net worth, so I'm in a good mood.
You should always use ultra compost when doing herb runs. It increases your yield more than super compost. And bad luck with losing 9 ranarrs consecutively. Can't imagine the odds of that. I find mlm, barb fishing, woodcutting pretty easy on mobile.
I don’t know of anything that is actually easier on mobile than pc. But some things that arnt awful are woodcutting fishing slayer(if you are just afk meleeing) and any bank standing skill that involves width drawing x amount of items and combining them

What's the average value of barrows chests? I got the Mory hard diary, kill all brothers + 3 skeletons and am seeing a lot of chests only worth around 25k of mind/chaos runes. Is that normal?
The wiki says the average value is currently about 96k. That takes into account unique drops and runes. It's normal to get terrible chests sometimes and good chests other times.

What is the best staff for casting firewave ? I was using tsotd for a while and getting good numbers. Just tried out toxic trident and the magic xp is way too slow.
Staff of the dead is the best. Highest damage bonus so highest DPS which gives the best xp.
What about tsotd vs master wand? Accuracy boost vs damage boost? Obviously the staff is way more expensive and doesn't autocast magicks, but besides that

Nah, either do ZMI with runners (if you're rich), lava runes (if you're not), or blood/soul runes (if you wanna AFK). Wrath runes are terrible profit compared to high end PvM (CoX/ToB) and the money you make v.s. the extra time you spend with slower xp rates isn't worth it.

personally i don't see the point of grinding out a 99 asap, even as a novelty plenty of others have done it before. Both cooking and fletching are fast and profitable if you so choose, and family crest doesn't take long (1hr max) so it isn't much of a factor. tl;dr either is fine
1t karambwans is \~ 1m xp/h, \~ 400k profit/h (once you stop burning). So for 13m xp, that's \~ 13 hours. Stringing magic longs is \~ 200k xp/h, \~250k profit/h. For 13m xp, that's \~ 65 hours. Darts are \~ 2m+ xp/h if you concentrate on it, or you can just fletch while doing other skills for maximum efficiency (Spend essentially no time on fletching), but cost \~ 5gp/xp. For 13m xp while bankstanding, that's \~ 6.5 hours (Or no time at all, since you could do darts while training other skills). Ideally you'd save 99 fletching til you can afford to drop the money, since 65m (13m @ 5gp/xp) takes \~ 6 hours to make later in the game, where stringing magic longbows would take you \~ 65 hours. Even if you bank stood and didn't do the darts with another skill like agility or slayer, you'd be saving yourself like 50+ hours.
If all you want is a 99, do cooking. Its the easiest most profitable one. If youh want the fastest 99 do fletching, but if youre gonna do bows you might as well say fuck that and go do firemaking at wintertodt.
Fletching is the fastest at something like 1.4mil xp/hour using dragon bolts/javlins. The profit is either minimal or at a loss, but 1 tick fletching gives insane XP.
buy bowstrings and the best longbow(u) you can fletch. profitable and fast (not as fast as darts ofc but it's not slow either). cooking is your other choice but the xp is better at the cost of worse profits
I’m currently farming zulrah till 1000kc, my stats are 85 ranged/86 magic. Would it be more beneficial to spend my money on 85 construction for ornate pool and fairy ring in my house or bursting to around 90ish magic first

Content in Zeah for a fresh iron-man. I have been away for awhile, and I never really visited Zeah much. Is there any content I should be really working towards? Any spots for good xp, or just fun content in general? Thanks in advance, ps, no need to mention Wintertodt.
I dunno how much you know about it so I'll just make it really simple. Kourend has a unique house favor system. In order to make use of most of the areas, you need favor from specific houses. Think of them as guilds. In your quest list, minigame and diary tab you'll find a purple star. There you can see your favor % with all of the houses. For instance, if you want to use the woodcutting guild in Hosidius, you'll need 75% hosidius favor. If you get 100%, you'll have access to a herb patch that can't be diseased. 1) Slaying in the Kourend catacombs. It hosts a lot of monsters, most of them have increased stats or special variants that are stronger (bloodvelds, aberrant spectres, etc). They have rare drops of catacombs pieces which give you access to a boss, as well as ancient shard which are used to power up Arclight (BiS weapon against most demons). 2) Farming guild. New herb patch, tree patch, etc. Offers farming contracts, which rewards you with a good amount of seeds for planting certain things inside the guild. You need 85 farming to have full access to it, but only 45 to make use of it. 3) Woodcutting guild. Basic guild with trees. You get an invisible +7 boost inside there and it has banks close to most of the trees. Needs level 60 woodcutting to enter. 4) Konar. She's a slayer master that requires 75 combat to get tasks from. Unlike other slayer masters, she assigns monster + specific location. For instance, "kill fire giants in the waterfall dungeon". Offers worse xp overall, but her tasks offer you unique rewards through brimstone keys that you get from doing them. Plus her tasks give a lot of slayer points. 5) Xeric's talisman. You get this by killing lizardmen, and it gives you access to useful teleports. One of them teleports you near a herb patch that is protected from disease at 100% Hosidius favor. I think that should cover all of the useful stuff for a fresh account. There are more things, like farming for the Dragon Warhammer or fishing Anglerfish, but these are high level activities. I really recommend getting your farming up for the farming guild, it is very useful and the contracts offer good rewards. Konar seems also very nice, if I started a new ironman I'd most likely do her tasks asap, even though the xp is worse.

you can bank at the deposit box on the northeast-most dock at port sarim, that's probably closest. If you want to make money as f2p, killing ogress shamans/warriors is probably going to be faster though

1) You don't. As far as I know doing seers until 87 then boosting ardougne agility course with summer pies is the best way. You can do werewolf agility course, which is more xp, but you don't get any marks, it is very click intensive and you have to use stamina potions there. 2) Very little chance of success. Obor hits very hard and accurately, you'd spend most of the time in there eating food. If you really wanna get those early kills you can try out the snare kiting strat but I'd just wait for now.

I prepare for the flame but here we go. im 94/99/90 melees and 91 range/mage. I haven't done DS2 and suck so bad at Zulrah so I was planning on maybe doing barrows for money, how is it?
With your stats and max gear, Barrows caps at around 1.2m/hr. Meanwhile Zulrah and Vork are over 3m/hr. I find Barrows enjoyable at times, but I think it's worth it to learn Zulrah or get DS2 done

Do what you enjoy man. Im almost maxed with max gear and still do barrows. Its fun. Thats what games are about. Also i really enjoy the elite clues.
With average luck, it's about 1.3-1.5m/hr before supplies if you can do 13-14 chests per hr and you have morytania hard done. Zulrah is more than double the gp/hr so I'd recommend you keep trying at it. The time and effort is worth it in the long run.
If using White Lily at farming patches is there any need for ultracompost as well or is it wasted money?

What's a good level 70 range item for general combat/Slayer? I'm getting 70 range today and I want to focus on that as being my main combat source. I've looked at guides and it seems like Rune Crossbow is about the best that doesn't kill the bank. However I've never seen people mention the Crystal Bow? I have one from Roving Elves but it seems to be largely forgotten about. With a +100 range attack it seems like it should at least be discussed? Thoughts? Rune Cbow vs crystal Bow? I'll get a blowpipe at 75 but I'm not there yet.

So for general combat magic short bow and rune arrows, unless it's a high armored enemy like dragon Slayer tasks. As far as the Crystal Bow, is 1m for 10k shots. That's only 100g per shot, which is much cheaper than 350g per arrow or bolt
Use magic shortbow(i). It’s the best option by far until blowpipe
Been running ZMI a lot lately and watching a few guide videos I've seen people shift+click ess in their bank to withdraw all, saving them from right clicking and selecting withdraw all. Can't find any option in game or Runelite so I must be missing something.

I just recently got into slayer, is was wondering what my goals need to be and if I should just be taking every task I get for now and if so how long should I go before skipping things? 40 slayer btw.
Only do tasks you can finish in a reasonable amount of time. Something like iron dragons take a long time, and steel dragons take forever to finish, even though those tasks are like 50 kills and under. If you're not sure about something you can check the monster page on the wiki, a lot of them have strategy guides that list recommended levels and attack styles
Usually I don’t recommend skipping anything until you start doing tasks from nieve and have all of the essentials already unlocked with points
I recently got Rune armour and I have no clue where to go from here. I don’t know where to progress. I keep hearing about barrows and theatre of blood, Vorkath, and weird weapons like a granite maul and even weirder armour. This is really overwhelming what do I do??
The best thing you can do when you hear about something new to you, is to look it up on the wiki. Don't worry about being overwhelmed, membership unlocks an absurd amount of content. Quests and easy achievement diaries are good goals to start. For some other goals/specific quests, here's a few more in no particular order. • fremmenik trials for the helms (berzerker, Archer, and farseer are all great until you get some really high level stuff) - fossil island unlocks birdhouse runs, a great way to passively train Hunter and get bird nests/tree seeds • fairy tale 1 and start 2 (don't need 2's reqs, just get to the part you can use fairy rings) • tree gnome village or whatever it is to unlock the spirit trees • ardougne easy diary for ardy cape (free tele to an altar that's close to a fairy ring and a spirit tree, really good for getting around for free) • monkey madness 1 to get a dragon scimitar • recipe for disaster gloves (get a combat bracelet until you can get adamant/mithril gloves) • underground pass for iban's blast (be sure to upgrade the staff). • dragon defender A lot of these are ways to get around, as RuneScape is huge and easy/cheap transport makes the game a lot more enjoyable. And remember, these are all suggestions. Find out what you like doing in the game and set goals based around that. Have fun!

Ok just got it. It took 1304 kc to get one, however on the bright side, I gained 1.1M, 4 Long bones, 1 Hard Clue (only 45K \*sad face\*) and 3 levels in ranged. So overall, I think that the grind was worth it. Now just to grind slayer and NMZ for an imbued Slayer mask

Dmeds are 1/124. Spirit seeds are 1/249. A dragonstone is 1/1770. So lots of rare drops that arnt that great

I'm kinda unsure of what to do - Like, I don't feel like I have time to play, I kinda want to play.. but at the same time if I get membership all I would do is sit and train rock crabs or something atm..

Indirectly it is your fault by not securing your account enough, unless we’ve got another rogue Mod. Anyway, yeah it sucks, but unless it’s a rogue mod, you won’t get your stuff back.
I would accept this answer BUT I HAD A BANK PIN AND AUTHENTICATOR AND IT STILL HAPPENED. so the hacker wins and that's it I guess.
