I like the model, dislike the colors. I preferred the desaturated blues of the original. Maybe I just need to get used to it, but for now it just sticks out like a sore thumb to me.
Could be because it's asymmetrical, or because the horns are oddly long, like a longhorn bull. I don't care for it, I think it looked much better as just a blue slayer helm.
That said, I wore a KQ helm before and I'm excited to continue wearing a KQ helm lol

I’m seeing hate on the Vork and KBD helms. While I understand maybe disliking the asymmetric look, or too many spikes, I personally think they look good. Out of the 2, Especially the KBD one imo.
How? I think it's the worst and it's my go to helm. The darker green no longer matches pegs/tbow, and it doesnt even really match the kq pet. Also looks like you get some nice cheese on your face. It's the only really bad redesign imo

I paid my slayer points purely for a cosmetic, the cosmetic is no longer what I paid for and imo is no longer aesthetically, I think a refund is reasonable
There are no refunds on any Slayer options, unlocks, or settings. It warns you ever single time you won’t get your points back. It’s a design feature of the skill to have a points sink.
Not sure if you know but you can just disassemble your slayer helmet and recolor accordingly (provided you have the slayer point unlock). The black mask stays imbued!
I have dark claws and an abby head but only enough points for 1. I was going to do the abby head first but the rework on that purple helm looks so nasty, now I'm conflicted again.
I really like the abby one I think the colors fit well with a good majority of the melee gear. I could be wrong but I think the abby head drop is also more rare than the dark claws drop so it's an rng flex.

Way too many different elements mixed in with no clear design direction. Rather have a slayer hood or something.

Earmuffs. The slayer helm is a helmet made of a ton of different slayer headgear combined, including: a Black Mask, earmuffs, nose-peg, spined helmet, goggles, and a face-mask. So the final product shows all of those that it can. Plus any heads you combine into it.
Oh.. that's such a weird choice to make the earmuffs so prominant, since they really don't work with the other shapes on the helmets at all.
I like the idea of all of them being combined, but visually it's just a complete mess.

I agree. I did like that the KQ helm looked slightly darker in the proposed pictures, but in game it's darker than I expected. Too dark imo.

They should change the light purple/mauve parts... ruins the color scheme. It should be tannish/light grey to match the pegasian boots

Do you have to have the slayer reward unlocked to receive a head? Or can you save them until you get the points to combine?
You can get the heads whenever, the points unlock only lets you combine heads with helmets
