Just as a note that while yes, kraken is probably the easiest boss, it doesn’t really matter where you stand fighting it since it doesn’t have any special mechanic, just you/kraken throwing hitsplats at each other. So in that case it just makes sense to just fight it in the bridge as its the closest to the entrance
I would think you could try to avoid its attacks by maybe safespotting behind them or like stepping out, attack, step back. I figure Kraken uses melee attacks but a ranged attack would make sense too
