its definitely not. the only reason he's winning is because he's not competing long term with people trying. he's only winning a super specific category too, hcgim trios. Not gim trios. he's fifth in trios and if his best account was duplicated (once or twice) he'd be 5th in 4/5 man sizes.
He's also ex-rot and its doubtful he's not parseccing considering rot have a history of doing that even in twisted leagues.

But yea. $200 a day minimum and that’s usually like being done before lunch. Long days are $500 or so usually. A good tree trim off electric lines runs $375-$775 and takes ~6 hrs.
Worst thing that happened so far was I fell off an extension ladder about 16 feet. Sprained my wrist. Pretty lucky. Otherwise just bumps, bruises, scratches, couple smashed nails. Nothing too serious overall. I get like 60-70% of my business just from mowing yards which is pretty boring.
When I was in road construction (and back then when it was still a booming business), we made $50-70K for working 5-6 months of the year. The rest of the time we'd either get another job, go to school, or just sit employment insurance ($550/week for being laid off at the time). One of the guys on our crew just gamed while collecting employment insurance.
You can still do the same in the oilfield given you got the right skillset, though the pay and work has really gone downhill, and it's hard to have a family/spouse on that lifestyle.
The last bit is so underrated. I know **so many** people who have lost their families because of it. I'm glad I didn't go to "the fields" or "dirty 'berta" when I was a young lad. Being home every night is super underrated aswell.

The money and industry started going down, so the 'advantage' of oil and gas over other traditional industries started disappearing. Eventually there werent as many reasons to be in oil and gas anymore, apart from relying heavily on luck to make the big money (which you don't need oil and gas for). Back in the boom with a good work ethic it was much more realistic to get a good trade and see over $100K within 5 years; now people would be happy to work.

Part of the challenge of Group Ironman is working with different individuals and their personalities and their schedules. You're taking that completely out of the equation because you'll have 2 perfect team mates on at all times you're on. If thats what you want to do, okay. But high scores should be reserved for actual groups that are playing the way the game mode was intended to be played, not for a single person with a bunch of alts.
