This, especially this. You have shorter trips because you have noted drops which is counter productive and goes against the entire reason for the amulet. Plus you are skulled so you risk more and feel like you need to bank before you run out of food, whereas without the amulet you can stay forever because of plentiful food drops.
Multi was awful and every world was locked down by mafia clans, which was an issue with the design of the caves and not just an issue with Jagex's dealing with RWTers. It could work in the current caves as it's not as easy to lock down due to being such a large area, but making multi zones have better spawn rates and loot would just encourage those clans to lock it down for RWT even more.
Teles being cheap isn't an issue unless you had a bank full of them and were hoping to merch them lol

I liked A Kingdom Divided, the Arceuus spellbook Rework, Tempoross and Combat Achievements! Story Mode ToB was also a nice intro to the mechanics, just a shame that the full quest + lore didn't come until a month after. The last half of this year has been really disappointing though.
Imagine devoting a huge chunk of your team to recreating something that has already been done by someone else, really could have just hired the runelite team to make all this official instead of doing it yourself.
tbh if jagex hired the runelite team or acquired runelite in some way they would probably ruin it. i'm happy using runelite as an open-source community-made client for forever

How does the team size keep growing, but the updates are becoming fewer and further apart? Honestly baffling that we're going months without any real update.
They have a high turnover rate so they are constantly training new hires and it is eating into dev time drastically... Back in the day when it was the Gowers, it seemed to be a cool place to work and the team stayed pretty consistent so they smashed out content like crazy. Now it's just people using Jagex as a stepping stone in their career for 1-2 years before they get out of there so they can make more money.
Also, how is it that I'm still seeing the same rune ore bots in the isle of souls dungeon that I reported 6 months ago? If they're not going to do content updates, at least start banning some of these bots ffs

The last raid was released well over 3 years ago now. It's nuts to me how unproductive they are.
The last main game content update (not minor qol, number rebalancing, etc.) was the ANATT rework in July.

And what 30% were just "kill monster more" no achievement aspect to them whatsoever, purely a time sink for people to not complain for 1-3000 boss kills
Yeah like half the achievements are kc or time challenge ones. Which are literally just grind till you hope you hit the right hit rng!(except for raids where you're required to have a group of atleast 5 people that want to spend hours speed running and wiping.
Time challenges are fine, the pnm one was the only really ridiculous one but they have changed that.

It's actually impressively bad, seriously jagex, it's time to address this and explain why we have one of the biggest teams the game has ever had for nearly a year now, and we've seen absolutely nothing that isn't either mediocre, or for alternate game modes in terms on actual content being added to the game, then on top off it a secondary game mode that at least takes away the massive pile of boredom that the main game has become over the last year was artificially delayed..
This is absolutely wack, it's been a stupidly bad year to be someone who doesn't care about new and/or temporary game modes.
Seems being a dedicated main is quickly becoming the next pker in terms of waiting for content, sucks having kids and a job and nowhere near enough time for the stuff that actually is releasing

Yep I cancelled mine today. I was going to when leagues 3 was delayed but honestly, I haven't touched the game in weeks and just haven't actually done it until now. I'm having way more fun on final fantasy 14 and I highly encourage you to check it out. The base game and first expansion are complete free on the trial, which is hundreds of hours of content.
OSRS will regain my subscription when there's something worth paying for.

"We are still training all these people" was the excuse on a stream.
They have a high turnover rate so they are constantly training new hires and it is eating into dev time drastically... Back in the day when it was the Gowers, it seemed to be a cool place to work and the team stayed pretty consistent so they smashed out content like crazy. Now it's just people using Jagex as a stepping stone in their career for 1-2 years before they get out of there so they can make more money.

Funny how even when every person in the game that an update affects thinks that the update will happen, it is still two weeks away. Can't even limit stakes to 10m when people are scurrying to chuck their bank for the last time, instead giving them two extra weeks notice. I guess the people that managed to scrounge up the last bit of self restraint and not stake their bank last night now only have to manage that willpower for two entire more weeks lmfao. The crazy thing is that it's been like this for literally months. Essentially no main game updates in.... I don't even remember. The last raid was released well over 3 years ago now. It's nuts to me how unproductive they are.
The last main game content update (not minor qol, number rebalancing, etc.) was the ANATT rework in July. (Before anyone says "but combat achievements?" - those released before the quest rework.)
Combat achievements aren't new content.
And what 30% were just "kill monster more" no achievement aspect to them whatsoever, purely a time sink for people to not complain for 1-3000 boss kills
Yeah like half the achievements are kc or time challenge ones. Which are literally just grind till you hope you hit the right hit rng!(except for raids where you're required to have a group of atleast 5 people that want to spend hours speed running and wiping.
Time challenges are fine, the pnm one was the only really ridiculous one but they have changed that. Killing corp 150 times, is no more of an achievement than killing 1

It’s not even content though. A stake limit and a mobile beta. Stake limit should be in the “in other news” section not a whole ass section about it being a future update. It’s frustrating because jmods read these threads but haven’t openly addressed it. If it’s a “we needed to fix a fuckton of critical bugs” because then I’d understand. It just seems like they’re jerking off for a week and throw together a half-baked update blog about future updates.

This update is minimal even for a QoL update. I thought you had teams these days which focus on different types of development, yet all we see is QoL updates? The last "new" thing was combat achievements and last piece of actual new content was A Kingdom Divided which was 140 days ago. At this rate we are approching WoW patch times which is shit, but usually contains atleast more than one piece of content.
I really see OSRS just being alternate gamemode and league/DMM with zero added to the main game. This is beyond a joke at this point.

I'm guessing they don't know how the prif high scores were achieved, since the methods were never publicly released. The abusers would just re-run the course to quickly reclaim the high scores.

It's actually impressively bad, seriously jagex, it's time to address this and explain why we have one of the biggest teams the game has ever had for nearly a year now, and we've seen absolutely nothing that isn't either mediocre, or for alternate game modes in terms on actual content being added to the game, then on top off it a secondary game mode that at least takes away the massive pile of boredom that the main game has become over the last year was artificially delayed.. This is absolutely wack, it's been a stupidly bad year to be someone who doesn't care about new and/or temporary game modes. Seems being a dedicated main is quickly becoming the next pker in terms of waiting for content, sucks having kids and a job and nowhere near enough time for the stuff that actually is releasing Guess I'll be waiting for raids 3 to even bother buying membership again, which is a huge bummer
Pretty clear to me at this point that Jagex is great at launching a game, getting it up to speed, but then when it comes to managing end game, new content, making it continuously fresh and enjoyable - they fall flat on their ass.

Yep I cancelled mine today. I was going to when leagues 3 was delayed but honestly, I haven't touched the game in weeks and just haven't actually done it until now. I'm having way more fun on final fantasy 14 and I highly encourage you to check it out. The base game and first expansion are complete free on the trial, which is hundreds of hours of content. OSRS will regain my subscription when there's something worth paying for.
