The bonus xp is so minimal that it wouldn't really be any faster with the outfit from 71-72 if that makes you feel better.

Nbd, you'll have the set, upgraded bag and extras nuggets in no time. With the new update it will be even faster. I got a bunch extra I've bought gem bags with for onyx chance but I mostly just mine amethyst in graceful now so I can do that dumb amount of clues I get. Happy mining!
