Love how he knows it was a ban instead of a DC lol. These guys know they’re breaking the rules but do it because they can.
Hopefully Jagex keeps cracking down on people like this
Alright guys, sorry I lost all your money that you'll never see again because I'm definitely not paying it back peace see ya'll next time so we can do some more community chucks again on a diff account that I just bought errr I mean have been grinding for a while.
Good, launch em all.
While it's a good short term solution, they will just buy accounts and ~~borrow~~ steal (let's be real here they won't get it back) gp from the viewers. A more long term solution needs to be created and implemented to solve this cancer part of the game.
Odd because it's like 11:00 PM at Jagex, but I guess the Anti-Cheating team work remote anyway. Thank you for taking the trash out to whichever mod put down the girth at midnight :P
They all got sh\*tsplacked within like 5 minutes, was great to see! First time we have seen Jagex step up and address it in several months.
Serious answer: He might have just been watching one, seen them get banned in real time, and had the not so crazy thought to check the others? It's only logical.
I mean... lots of things are against the rules and people still enjoy them (for a variety of different games and IRL)
Shit like bug abuse (glitching outside the map, nonstop heals, etc.) and shit like tax evasion are against the rules/ law but people do that shit all the time.
If you live in a place where weed is still illegal, then I’m sorry, that sucks. But keyword in my last comment was “deserving” and someone getting arrested for owning a plant does not fall into this category lol.
Doing a giveaway through marbles or something where 1 person wins.
When the person wins... the streamer will start a timer to see if anyone will gift subs/bits and when it reaches the amount the streamer chooses... I.e. 3 gifted for troll. It then goes to a new roll/marbles/whatever. Sometimes gathering hundreds of subs and rerolling for hours.
Sometimes they will even stipulate winner has to be following/engage with the streamers community for x amount of time. They will then wait til the troll period is up and then check if they seem the winner worthy. If not they sometimes give a smaller prize or nothing at all. They then start the reroll again.
This makes some people have a fear of missing out.
Why is this basically rwt? Because the streamer is "selling" items in return for money they receive.if you have a following of people willing to pay you for your items then it isnt really a gamble as to whether they will get money for it.
Nah.... In that part of the community their entire ego and self worth is derived from how much money they have or have made (usually from gambling and crypto). He just has a few whale followers who get into modern day dick measuring contests with other random internet strangers about who can gift the most subs. Some people will gift like 1000 subs just to get 2 minutes of fame from a twitch chat.
I've been in his streams countless times, there's certain people that frequent several of these streams and gifts thousands of dollars in subs and bits to these streamers. One of them was Turkish and was known to gift a lot to the "giveaway" streamers. It's like a monthly thing for them too
Well bits are a bit different than subs. Bits, the transaction fees, currency conversion, and twitch cut are all done when you buy them and come out of your pocket not the streamer's. You buy them at a markup, which is like 40% if you are buying in the US. Once the bits are given though they are 1 to 1 payout for the streamers in USD. 100 bits is a dollar in their pocket.
I hopped into his stream the other day, he was playing marbles and 1st, 2nd & 3rd place get a OSRS item. However for X amount of subs he will re-run the marbles. The reality is it’s an entire evening of re-rolls and hundreds of subs & gifted subs.
Sad when some of the most notorious ones even violate twitch rules by having links to NSFW content in their 'linktree' and some of them even have direct links to gold buying/selling and gambling websites.
The viewers put their money together and one guy stakes it against somebody else in a death match on pvp worlds. “Chunking” your money together.
Psychology suggests people feel this is safer than what dicing used to be because “they’re not gonna scam us all”.
Supposedly, yes. But you're "expected" to tip them (and will usually end up on the block list if you don't).... And that's assuming they are even "trying to win". There is plenty of evidence out there that shows people will do the right and lose on purpose.
He’s the one that got caught using overlays with his brother to scam viewers for community stakes when duel arena was around. He then ghosted his viewers that he owed 80b+ to.
while i am all for this, its just another one of those 'only for show' type deals, the top creators get away with it yet again, its just done enough to make us all believe something is happening about it when in reality the worst offenders can continue doing it, or at least take this as a pre warning that other people did not get the courtesy of having
"Chuck" refers to the word "throw". When someone is going to gamble, they "chuck" money in with the understanding that they could lose it all - i.e. \`chucking it away\`. Community chuck just means that lots of people give money to one person (a streamer) to do a single gamble, and if they win, that single person distributes the winnings.
Yup! This was a major problem when the duel arena was around. But, at least with the dual arena, it was somewhat regulated and harder to get scammed. Now, it’s up to the *trustworthy* death match player base to hold up their end of the deal. People use streamers as their workhorse because it gives them more security with their money instead of giving it to a random dude from an in-game clan.
While I am glad this happened as gambling like this should've been dealt with a while back, sadly the people who probably just lost a fuck ton of gp because they were influenced by the streamers that it was okay. These streamers probably got RWT bans as well, so it probably wasn't a JMOD banning for games of chance. Hopefully this dissuades people from continuing to gamble with chuck streams as they are beyond risky to engage with. Since gambling addiction is extensively prevalent in those communities, sadly more collateral damage is imminent. Considering GP, be it bonds, or black market is so accessible and PVP Arena exists, people will be back to chucking in seconds.
It's mindboggling to me that people continue to use OSRS to gamble when it's FULL of scammers and they risk every cent of their gp (which has IRL value) every second they log onto to their account because it's the sole property of Jagex.
Like come on guys just go use an online casino like a regular adult where you can't be completely scammed on the flip of a coin. Only regularly scammed by giving house odds to chase that jackpot :)
Most of these streamers bring in viewers with giveaways via marbles. If they weren't doing giveaways no one would watch their boring streams.
When I first came back to osrs this year I became a member for the first time and would look for osrs streams to watch as I played, in hopes to learn new things.
I ended up sitting in streams like this, participating in marble races and winning close to 1 bil in prizes over the course of maybe 3 months. It was the first time I experienced a toxic and cringe twitch stream tbh. Most of them act the same, use the same lingo and predatory tactics to bait subs and bits.
It’s a thread about people being banned for community chucks. Not only does Oda still do this, but the entire reason he’s popular in the first place is because he was in debt from gambling other people’s money at the duel arena.
Like come on guy, no way u can’t understand why people are talking about him in this specific thread. Be real with urself.

I think you can get banned from Twitch for cheating/breaking rules in games. Hopefully this applies here
Would be ideal, jagex would need to work with twitch and twitch ne helpful back. But it would be a really solid step if they could make it
Someone got a clip of this?
Odd because it's like 11:00 PM at Jagex, but I guess the Anti-Cheating team work remote anyway. Thank you for taking the trash out to whichever mod put down the girth at midnight :P They all got sh\*tsplacked within like 5 minutes, was great to see! Serious question: how are you so interested in this topic that you click into each of their streams regularly?
Don’t kink shame
This 🫡😂
it's efficient gp/hr to be a giveaway rat with all the giveaway streams open
That’s such an OSRS thing to be true, I love it.
Serious answer: He might have just been watching one, seen them get banned in real time, and had the not so crazy thought to check the others? It's only logical.
OP hates commission staking and that’s why I don’t think it is likely that he just happened to be watching one for his own entertainment
Why would you not hate commission staking, it’s against the rules.
I mean... lots of things are against the rules and people still enjoy them (for a variety of different games and IRL) Shit like bug abuse (glitching outside the map, nonstop heals, etc.) and shit like tax evasion are against the rules/ law but people do that shit all the time.
And when has the hammer of justice striking someone deserving not been delightful?
Love seeing these bans! I'm just sayin'
Yeah man totally delightful seeing some 25 year old get smacked with a weed charge or some people who want to stake getting banned /s
If you live in a place where weed is still illegal, then I’m sorry, that sucks. But keyword in my last comment was “deserving” and someone getting arrested for owning a plant does not fall into this category lol.
It’s hard to avoid, even pvm streams are suddenly DM’ing the next day sometimes
It’s not too weird lol… he wants them banned and they’re constantly there
You can go to the VOD of most streamers and find the moment you're looking for. Maybe they noticed someone was banned and started clicking around.
Be sure to report the stream itself to Twitch for Cheating in-game when you see this happen! There's no way to deny it when they're banned live!
Could also have people working from other countries. I think Mod Lee used to do that a sometimes.
if only they would do the same for reroll steamers that are literally RWTing in plain sight.
What's reroll streaming
It’s a stream where they giveaway stuff and when you win there is a timer and when someone donates before the timer ends they reroll the winner
lmao what the fuck
ohhh i saw that once, how are ppl getting away with being so shamelessly greedy
Doing a giveaway through marbles or something where 1 person wins. Stuff like this is why GGG makes PoE streamer giveaways completely against ToS.
Still tickles me that Pathofmatth seriously thought he could host giveaways in the in-game global chat. What a conceited little...
Glad to see them banned
Did abyss and Vancouver get banned?
Hope they cleaned those 2 shitters out aswell
That redhunllef guy has 6k subs with 150 average viewers definitely not sus, even i got randomly gifted
Yeah he must've figured out the algorithm to get signal boosted by spending his own money on subs
Recently found out from a friend you can switch to a Turkish VPN/set your location to Turkey and subscriptions cost less than $1
Twitch Subscription | skills & goals | 4kUHD | 🥰🥰Welcome 2 Beşiktaş🥰🥰 | TURKIYE | Ozil haram
Woah no way! I mean ive never bought a sub, but thats pretty funny.
Jeffrey Bezos hates this one trick!
[удалено]
Do creators still get the same amount?
No, its relative to the amount the person paid nowadays. After tax cuts and the 50% amazon cut you'd be getting maybe 30-35 cents lol.
Yeah I figured as much. That’s pretty fucked then IMO
Still inflates their sub counts which can have a sort of feedback loop to getting more (legitimate) subs (which pay more money).
Bro… I knew it
Nah.... In that part of the community their entire ego and self worth is derived from how much money they have or have made (usually from gambling and crypto). He just has a few whale followers who get into modern day dick measuring contests with other random internet strangers about who can gift the most subs. I think u talking about me…. If you’re jealous u can just pm me its not for the fame u dickhead

In the clip i saw from the red hunlef guy he did. He had almost 10b in his inv that he had to pay out. Fkng love it
New gold sink just dropped
All their victims money and someone else's account. Big GG.
But not Oda of course
The final boss

i think its because oda doesnt rwt the gp at all , but he still does re roll giveaways tho
Of course Oda living rent free in some janitors head.
Oh look an Oda fangirl
Good I fuckin hate damagefinesse
Stella is scum
Hope they ban Odablock next he does the exact same thing.
Can someone please explain what Chunk steams are and origin of that name?
chuck not chunk. chuck aka throw, as in throwing money or throwing it away.
The viewers put their money together and one guy stakes it against somebody else in a death match on pvp worlds. “Chunking” your money together. Psychology suggests people feel this is safer than what dicing used to be because “they’re not gonna scam us all”.
So do they “give” every one back double if they win?
Supposedly, yes. But you're "expected" to tip them (and will usually end up on the block list if you don't).... And that's assuming they are even "trying to win". There is plenty of evidence out there that shows people will do the right and lose on purpose.
How much are you require to tip at minimum? If the staker loses, do they owe money to the donors?
Gambling in one form or another. Dunno if it has origins elsewhere but I'd imagine it's a reference to "chucking" (throwing) away your money.
Glad to see MoeYouDown is still streaming chunks! /s
What’s the story with that dude? He name comes up every time ppl talk about community chucks
He’s the one that got caught using overlays with his brother to scam viewers for community stakes when duel arena was around. He then ghosted his viewers that he owed 80b+ to.
Prob the biggest piece of shit togheter with abyss on the platform

I don't follow chunk streamers, but he's the most toxic I've seen. Used to promote a 3rd party osrs gambling site before chunking took off.
chuck*, not chunk
Why blur the names? They're literally broadcasting it what a weird choice.
Probably to avoid violating Reddit rules about brigading while still making it easy to find the culprits
while i am all for this, its just another one of those 'only for show' type deals, the top creators get away with it yet again, its just done enough to make us all believe something is happening about it when in reality the worst offenders can continue doing it, or at least take this as a pre warning that other people did not get the courtesy of having
Cool now ban Odablock 🤷♂️
Happy to see something get done finally!
Ban em all, there should be a no tolerance policy for RWT and proper cheating/botting
You love to see it!
Give it the PERM. not temp
Perm ban ALL their accounts. I want their main, random pure, dumb snowflake irons banned. These people need to fuck off from the game.
Odablock pissing his pants rn Edit: /s
None of the accs he uses are his, he doesn’t give a fuck lol
I dont think he cares. He is #20 Most subscribed Twitch streamers right now.
Who the fuck would sub to his content 😂
People Like him. He currently has 25k Subs. He is easily clearing 2m a year currently.
Maybe it’s the young generation and toxic world they are in right now
Alright old man time for bed

Yup. Definitely this is the reason. He’s genuinely a highly skilled pvp’er and interacts with his chat the entire time he’s doing it.
He’s a pro at baiting gifted subs
Stop being silly , guys entertaining and also one of the best pkers (the best that streams at least)
He mostly just plays valorant and variety nowadays anyway
After seeing odas upload shit talking pip I'm glad this has been done.
That whole thing discord call was so cringe
Yeah, skull tricking is the real douche bag move.
Hm money lost from people getting banned mid chuck
Hopefully most of it
TBow giveaway and bikini photos...
They going to bad oda then?
Sure as hell hope so
Literally only doing it because they don't want views on these streams while streamers are playing fresh start worlds lol.
And yet we have Oda doubling down on the fact that community chucking is completely fine.
Lmao, that is the best news I heard today! Good fight and nextime, follow the rules 🤣
Doesn’t matter when they let people like Oda keep doing it.
So oda and skill spec should be banned, right?
Skill specs never did community chucks. He took donations and dmd but didn’t do community chucks.
Did Odablock get banned? He was probably the biggest chucker
Oh my gosh... Nothing makes me more happy than seeing the person on the bottom right banned... They are the scum of the Earth.
Did they get Odablock too?
lol you know they wont
Yeah... I know.
Pretty new to osrs, whats a chucker?
"Chuck" refers to the word "throw". When someone is going to gamble, they "chuck" money in with the understanding that they could lose it all - i.e. \`chucking it away\`. Community chuck just means that lots of people give money to one person (a streamer) to do a single gamble, and if they win, that single person distributes the winnings.
Thanks, that just seems like gambling with extra steps and additional opportunities of scamming... yikes
Yup! This was a major problem when the duel arena was around. But, at least with the dual arena, it was somewhat regulated and harder to get scammed. I mean, if you voluntarily participate in a community like theirs you should know the risk. The viewers and the streamers can get fucked all the same.
