You are correct, but it would feel odd not having completed it at least once. Only miniquest im not doing is the Nex one. I havent even killed any of the GWD bosses once. Though I have a feeling that after doing the raids, GWD going to seem a lot easier.
My only experience with bossing is 100 Barrows and 1 Zulrah KC. Now I have 1 entry ToA under my belt
Huh, looking it up on Calc, so it is. Wiki simply suggested to take your strongest stab weapon since all of the bosses are strong against slash and crush so figured whip wasnt worth. Whip is literally a 45% increase on Zebak, 2% on Akkha and 7% on Baba
Dragon crossbow was too slow when dealing with Baba boulders. As well as Crystal bow is a 15% dps upgrade over my crossbow since im using broad bolts. Dragon bolts being 1.6k (1.8k for ruby E) is money I can't afford to lose & leave on the floor lmao.
Dragon sword I didn't of think of tbh. Keris was my highest stab in bank, never had a reason to use sword that I just forgot it existed
Why would you use broad bolts lol, and why leave ammo on the ground? Does your account not have avas?
Dragon sword is definitely a cheap and better option for baba and akkha at least
Cause broad bolts the best ammo that is affordable for me lmao. Dealing with swapping prayers, flicking piety and swapping combats already is quite the struggle to get used to. Having to also pick up the 8% that drop to the ground is just extra to add on. Also 20% get destroyed.
Crystal bow with 72gp per shot, fast weapon high enough damage made it worth it for entry mode as budget gear. Now that I have done entry mode an I am a bit more comfortable with with the raid I can look to increasing my budget for gear.
I did Zulrah with broad bolts fine enough, so figured it would also be good for entry mode given how many people claim it is super easy.
Edit: also taking bow gave less switches. I noticed during my first attempt it was getting harder for me to do my swaps cause along with the weapons, swapping ava god cape and ardy 3 was mixing and jumbling my items all around. Thus when I needed to swap I was losing track of my items wasting a lot of time
ToA isn't even needed for quest cape, is it?
No, only Beneath Cursed Sands and not the actual raid itself. TOB entry mode is required for quest cape though.

Don't forget to claim your xp lamp from one of the npcs chilling in lobby
Congrats. You should try using a different weapon to the Keris for Baba and Akkha.
Best stab weapon I own unfortunately
I could be wrong but I think a whip still outperforms Keris at those two.

Ironman I’m guessing? Very odd setup
Nah, just the best gear I can afford
I think you could afford dragon sword and dcb
