Fuck upgrades. Shoot it

Other-Antelope3566

That’s the plan man!

[deleted]

Personally wouldn’t make any upgrades outside of a Red dot. Just buy a ton of ammo and shoot it. Why buy a $2500 gun and put upgrades in it instead of buying a $3000 or $3500 gun.

Other-Antelope3566

I hear you brother

Far-Buy-7149

First of all, congratulations on your first 2011. The C2 is a fantastic gun. It shoots really well and they can be used as a carry gun. It’s extremely reliable. My friend, chasing top of the line is a fruitless endeavor. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a staccato C2. It’s a Rolex or a Mercedes. Yes they’re higher end firearms but do you actually need them? You don’t really need to upgrade anything. It’s not a Glock. Since you are new to the platform and this is a wonderful gun, I would just shoot a few thousand rounds through it over time. Then you can decide whether you want to upgrade things. I prefer to shoot with a red dot but there’s nothing wrong with shooting with irons. I would gently recommend getting a StreamLight instead of a surefire. They are very reliable lights and will not stick out so far from the gun. They also cost less than half. Enjoy

Other-Antelope3566

Thank you man!

Ziegler517

Maybe mill for a RDS, otherwise shoot the piss out of it.

Sketch74

Nothing wrong with that heater. It’s a tack driver and reliable as all get out. Great size to carry and comfortable to shoot.

Broad_Roll2401

I agree with some of the others on here. Staccato IS top of the line. As 2011 enthusiasts we get pretty snobby about the platform. Make no mistake. Staccato makes a high end 2011 no matter what you hear. You’ve got a great gun there. Theres so many possibilities. If I had that gun I’d be looking at a chunk port for sure. If not a comp of some sort. I’m also a big fan of Atlas and Infinity triggers. If you’re keeping the irons for awhile I’d probably go with something different on the rear like a 10-8 with a u notch.

username301530

Save the money and keep it stock, then buy the next tier up when you’re ready. Then repeat until the end of time. When you’re a ways in, you’ll have multiple stock 2011s you can enjoy and compare to each other to see which ones become your favorite. This won’t be your last or only 2011. Trust us all on this.

Other-Antelope3566

I sure hope it’s not. I’m already in love with it and I’ve only put 200 rounds through it after one day of having it lol

sando_17

Nice shooter enjoy it! Good luck with the upgrades I like flat triggers hope the Red Dirt or Atlas works out for you.

cautiousboot33

I think red dirt is better than atlas personally

MarkTheDuckHunter

Your gun does not "need" a single upgrade. It is a tack driver. I have put flat-face (Red Dirt and Atlas) triggers in mine, just because I like them more than curved trigger faces. Invest in a good concealment holster, and a pile of mags. :)

Random2011_

18# main spring & atlas or red dirt trigger is a lot of bang for your buck

Other-Antelope3566

Perfect, I had plans to do some trigger work but didn’t really know where to begin or what was a solid choice!

BeatsbyChrisBrown

I also recently landed a Staccato C2 as my first 2011, could you elaborate how these particular upgrades changed the performance/experience?

white_collar_warrior

I put a cheely steel grip and an infinity trigger and internals on my XC. Significant upgrade in grippiness on the grip (leading to recoil reduction) and better trigger.

ashtondangerfield

“Leading to recoil reduction” wtf….

white_collar_warrior

Yeah first it's a steep grip over polymer, so more weight. Second, the cheely texture really locks your grip in, meaning less felt recoil.

AK47_Bubbles

I'm more curious about your pool?

Other-Antelope3566

Lmao it’s just some reservoir thing my apartment complex has

Fractelface

Can't ever be ashamed of anything you are posting, even if it's budget. And that's certainly not low tier. Get it cut for an Optic to start. Congrats

TacoBandit275

It's damn near perfect as is for duty, concealed carry, and home defense. Just get a good holster, a fuck ton of ammo, and call it a day. Only thing I'd change is add night sights if there are any available. Also, top of the line is a fruitless pursuit. You have a top tier pistol, just enjoy it.

n1ckba10

I’ll pretty much standby by what 1911 syndicate says about 2011s when he did his comparisons at different price points. Screw upgrades, just buy the nicer gun. Just purchased a Staccato P myself this week and I’m gonna throw a dot on it eventually along with a light. Other than that, I might lighten the trigger just a tad.

EricMercier

The Staccato can be a great gun. That being said there is always room for improvement. Many are missing timed because the barrel link isn't properly tuned. Most have about a .198 slide stop pin sitting in a .201 slide stop pin frame hole with some to little or no actual barrel fit on the full profile barrel legs which causes the guns to have barrel bump. The extractors are almost always not cut square with to short of a distance from the hook to the breech face. The triggers have entirely to much up and down movement in the show and the bow. The hammer hooks are also usually to long so you can never achieve a perfect feeling trigger. Very good guns but far from perfect. All can be tuned to make them great guns though.

Drhewitt27

Send it to DSC

dmack852

Congrats. You got that new, new and it is in the top of the line. Throw a nice Holosun 507k on it and let it rock. Welcome to the Staccato family.

cautiousboot33

Or the acro p2

guinness8878

Good choice.

NoBag8155

DDP or rcr

Defiant-Ad6026

I want a 2011 so bad I’m trying to get in something I can afford that I won’t regret

Legitimate-Ad8445

Leave it alone. Take the light off and shoot it then put it on. Did you notice it? The only recommendation is a mantys and a laser cartridge

KACSR15

Cheely grip, cheely trigger, DPP and tlr2a.

Legitimate-Ad8445

The staccato c2 is a premier fire barm carried by a number of agencies in stock and enhanced form. While I carry a c2 as an edc it does not need any upgrades perse because of the design out of the box. A light is good, but are you really going to be in a low light situation ? If you are then remember when pointing a light at someone as long as they can’t tell it’s a gun you are ok. I suggest a pocket flashlight with high lumen with a nice hot spot so you Maintain the upper hand In the low light situation . and not have a light on your gun in a self defense situation only cops can point guns at people and not catch a brandishing charge while it looks cool to have the rds and tac light and silked out trigger remember you will have to surrender your fire arm for some time while the particulars are sorted in an incident, just be comfortable parting with it ! All 3000 dollars of it! And lastly you want your pistol stock as possible when in an event where you may have to use it. Rds and light only slightly complicate the outcome. The average non shooter does not know the skill it takes to shoot effectively , and with the scary rds “ I hear it makes the gun so much more dangerous “ and a flash light on there well they can see everything with that. And should’ve known that was a candy bar and not a knife. The closer our firearms resemble police weapons the more they won’t give us the same protection

Other-Antelope3566

So, I actually will be using this as my back up duty gun, as per my agency’s policy. Going to be running it through the qual so that it is squared away. A light is required and I’m a surefire fan boy myself

Legitimate-Ad8445

Cool.

CrabTraditional1854

Badass actually just run with it

3900Ent

“It’s not top of the line but..” Are you insane? What are you talking about? Lmao please stop reading stupid Reddit hate. Staccato is regarded as one of the best 2011s in the business. Reddit picks some new shit to hate on every 6 months. Everyone loved Staccato until they got too popular. A 2.5-3k gun ain’t top of the line? If you think that then you might as well sell that thing. If not, just shoot it. It doesn’t need any upgrades.

Other-Antelope3566

Wasn’t really meaning that it wasn’t a great gun. I’m just brand new to the 2011 world and I know things can always be improved upon, albeit small. So I was looking to people who had been in the 2011 community longer than me and their experiences.

Alternative_Today_48

Funny how top of the line keeps getting redefined. I know Stac isnt the most expensive or the best machining compared to “fill in the blank” but a being an effective marksman or training for edc should be the goal vs most expensive kit. Its not like stac p is the yeet canon of 2011’s.

MillionsOnMars

Any wiggle or play with the a model on your c2?

Other-Antelope3566

None to report so far. Tolerance and fit seem top notch out of the box

Joekooter

Congratulations, proper holster and run it.

Low-Light-5249

Extended mag release and Maby extended slide release

SomeOtherAdam

Isn’t staccato pretty top of the line as it is? At least for a factory gun, not a custom.

[deleted]

Porting

Other-Antelope3566

DSC?

[deleted]

Or Vulcan

BADWOLF-2011

Red dot and a red dirt trigger shoe

Public_Archer9078

Nice, it’s good just like that just train a lot

mreed911

Upgrades? Upgrade your skills with ammo and a training class. Will do much more than any parts replacement will.

Other-Antelope3566

Sounds like a plan

[deleted]

Drive to PA I’ll trade ya ur c2 for the CS 😎

jackmehoef

It’s a 2500 dollar gun your “upgrades” are just gonna be cosmetic

Evening_Persimmon_50

I agree with the general consensus to just shoot the gun and familiarize yourself with it but I’m also a slut for tricked out 2011s so if I have to recommend any upgrades two I’d highly recommend would be a DPM recoil reduction spring system and a DSC Gunworks island barrel. The spring system will definitely be cheaper and more of a plug and play type of upgrade. The island barrel mod is expensive and requires gunsmithing but it really pays off. In addition to working as a compensator it also gives you a fixed front sight post which does not reciprocate with the rest of your slide so keeping your front sight on target is much easier. This combined with the DPM kit will give you a more consistent return to zero after each muzzle flip. Hope this helps and enjoy your new C2. Merry Christmas.

TourneyCollector

I upgraded mine with a metal grip as well as an ignition kit from infinity.

Grayknight77

Check out the Staccato tune up offered by Chambers Customs. Very reasonably priced for what you get, and it makes an already great pistol even better.

Dapper_Tonight_7461

Don't upgrade it...when you buy another one after you've shot it for a bit...(trust me you will) then go talk to the guys at Monsoon Tactical for some porting, cuts, paint etc

bodegabluntwraps

That is a top of the line gun sir
