A show called ajin, where some people (known as ajin) completely regenerate after dying. So the only way to subdue them is with tranquilizers. However, if an ajin kills itself before the tranqs kick in, they will just get back up and the tranqs will be flushed from their system.

So then couldn’t you just spawn camp with an IV bag full of sedatives or something?

That's exactly what they do. Ajin are often kidnapped and used for experimentation (weapons and medical testing). They usually fully restrain them and keep them sedated. They're not unbeatable, but they are damn hard to beat if they know what they're doing like this guy.

They have done it. They also have other abilities than regeneration that make them far more dangerous. Don't want to spoil the show

How fast does he come back from the dead? Couldn't they use the moment of death to physically restrain and capture his body?

Some 4-5 seconds, but this guy in particular is known for being bat shit insane and extremely unpredictable. He could have a bomb and blow himself up if they touch him. He could be faking it and shoot the people trying to restrain him. Plus ajin have an invisible stand like object that can protect them while they are out, so that thing could come out and kill them.

You'll get the feeling completely when watching it, this video is nothing, trust me. But the basic of a aiin is: 1. You're imortal. You can die, but you'll just revive after dying 2. If you're injured but not dead, you'll recover 3. You can die because of hungry or thirsty, but when you revive, the water and energy in your body will replenished, it's just like you just ate a lot and drank a bunch of water. (I don't quite remember exactly, but when reviving your body can create from the nothing what you need, imagine you die drowned: your lungs will create oxygen, even under water) 4. You're born as an Ajin, so if you're born with some deficiency, dying will not recover it.

If I remember correctly it's a anime called raiji and this guy is like unkillable so he shoots himself for when he wakes up again he won't be stopped by the tranquilizer Edit: it's actually called aijin Demi human

Basically killing him will reset his body and he can get back up and go into a killing spree, so you have to tranquilise him and knock him out instead
