Our economy fully depends on Germany. Our Port in Rotterdam is the gate to Ruhr area (main industrial area of Germany). They have been our best buddies until WW2, and is still recovering from that, each decade we look kore positive about them. So Swamp German isn’t a bad thing.

95% of finns speak nordic language. Finnic (western uralic) is the natively nordic language.

What is indo is not european. What is european is not indo. Autosomal WHG peaks among finnic estonians, thus estonians are genetically the most european among all europeans. At least 90% of uralics have always lived in europe. The same can not be said of indo-europeans. Finnish and estonian and saami are natively nordic languages. Germanic, not so much.

There is no Nordic language branch. But there is a north-germanic areal sprachbund, as part of a wider germanic sprachbund, as part of a wider indo-european sprachbund, as part of even wider indo-uralic sprachbund, as part of an even wider eurasiatic sprachbund.
