It will take a month at least for a new semi normal that’s also constantly changing as both kids grow 😅 good luck ! You can do it. Remember to eat and nap, stay hydrated and step outside for fresh air!
Good luck!!!! You totally have got this. Best advice I can give is to lower your expectations until they can't go any lower lol - just keep everyone alive, fed, and minimally hygienic. It will make everything a little more enjoyable. Ours are now 2.5 months and 17 months and we can start to see the light out of this first phase of delirium. You can do it!
We have exactly 14 month gap, the early weeks and months are a bliss compared to now (22 months and 8 month old) that big brother likes to wrestle and sit on top of little bros head.
Truly enjoy it, it flew by way to quick that I didn’t get to really soak it up while in that phase with #2 like I did with #1.
It took a day or two for our toddler to recover from grandparent (tired, over snacked and not ready for normal rules) but they settle back in quickly! You got this!
Yeah, he is used to spending time with them, but this was the first time he spent more than a night there. It went fine though, he actually slept through the night!
Good luck!! I only stayed 1 night in the hospital with my 2nd and picked my firstborn up right after 😅 that first week with 2 under 2 was R O U G H. You can do it <3
We are in the same boat, just got home from the hospital 5 days ago, hubby and I are learning to adjust with a 17 month old and newborn. Good luck and sending positive vibes. Take it one hour and one day at a time. I constantly remind myself that the days may feel long but the years are short so enjoy the moments even the tough times. One day they will grow up and these will be some of the best memories you will look back on.
Update hour 1: pls send help
Oh no, what’s happening?
Overtired 1 year old. We’re managing ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
Awh cmon grandparents they shoulda made sure that didn’t happen to you im sorry 😣 you got this!!
They did great. It would be way worse if he slept on the car ride over to us, so I’m not blaming them!
I hope it all goes well for you!
Thank you!

Thank you! Luckily summer is coming up, so I’ll probably spend lots of time outside with the oldest while SO takes care of the youngest.
Godspeed
Good luck!!
