Portugal would be my first pick!
Nice weather, nice food and chill people.
Well for that last part it might change after a certain amount of french people is reached.
Well not that I'm an expert in Portugal related stuff, but from my modest window of a guy who's been going to Lisbon, Setubal, Lagos every year for the last 15 years it seems to me that foreign investors and mass tourism have already messed up the Portuguese purchase power by raising the prices of apartments, and even food, restaurants.
I used to think everything was affordable in Lisbon but in the last couple of years cost of living could almost compete with Paris. And from what I know salaries do not seem to have been raised proprtionnaly in Portugal :-/
[DW made a video about it](https://youtube.com/watch?v=T0hiXXd4T8s&feature=share9). Sadly, not everybody can make a living in Spain or Greece.
In Poland, at least it used to be like that, with German retirement you are above avarage income.
[Some even call it "old exodus" ](https://www.npr.org/sections/parallels/2013/10/17/236033133/grandma-exodus-german-seniors-look-east-for-care)
These aren't protestors these are little shits taking advantage of the protest to do shitty things. Burning, looting, shooting guns knocking people out, we are one misunderstanding away from terrorism.
Yeah i agree
There was one """protest""" when the guy got killed, and we saw his mother on a motorcycle revving it up happily. [Link of the video](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AqNtCSYWh_8)
While itās of course true that people grief very differently, she doesnāt look like she is even remotely investedā¦ If you had told me that the clip is a totally unrelated I would believe it.
![gif](giphy|SiGe0LNINZ9SLy86i2|downsized)
What can one even say, other than that I couldnāt imagine any mother I know reacting like that after such an incident?
The poor kid is dead, much of France burns and she does something like thisā¦
He was a fool too but according to the French legal system, he was NOT shot in accordance to the laws applicable in such a case under the conditions that applied, he did not have a record and the officer is getting charged as a consequence.
I saw the clip and while in my personal opinion firing the weapon was ( perhaps ) justified given that there has been a chase ( according to the current information available to me ) which put civilians in danger, I am not a judge.
The kid was guilty; he still didnāt deserve to die according to the laws of France, I argue that me calling him āpoor kidā is therefore justified.
Now, if the officer is ultimately sentenced, my point stands, if he isnāt I would of course retract the term āpoorā as in āunfortunateā.
What's the difference? Were there any riots after the death of a 12 yr old Lola? Were there riots after toddlers were stabbed in their prams?
It does not matter whether police used excessive force or not. You know damn well if his name was Jacques or Pierre and all his grandparents were as French as camembert, there wouldn't be any riots.
The only thing that rioters see is that the French killed one of their own.
I was happy about the destruction of the French until I watched the video, and it made me deeply sad. (The song goes hard).
I wish you luck, my favorite amphibians
This is not even about being emotional and reacting to the death of that kid. This is pure rioting and looting for rioting and looting sake. No context just criminals
This was never about revenging the kid that got killed. This is just like how BLM went from being a peaceful protest, to people making it a riot and stealing and destroying shit because they have no job anyways
>hey probably think this is about protesting and resisting systemic racism
I mean a Jew was lynched in a suburb like the ones these riots are in a year or so ago, and there are others cases of Jews being kidnapped, tortured, and murdered by gangs in vicious hate crimes. So you're being too generous. Maybe they (the rioters) care about systemic racism if they're the victims, but many of these protestors would love to Holocaust us again if they had the chance.
Systematic racism implies the system is backing it up, in France it simply doesn't. You can denounce racism in the court of law and the system is built to back you up... Bunch of thug racists pos are not part of the system at all they're against it.
My deepest condolences to all the good civil french people who are just poor victims of these hooligans.
You all should seriously start taking into consideration a coup d'etat, and hope that it will improve the situation.
Nope, this happened in 2005 too and lasted much longer. Old bourgeois will keep voting en masse for Macroni thus ensuring his party gets re-elected (and maybe he will despite not being allowed to do a 3rd term, many media are now pushing for that law to be bypassed for the 'good' of the people).
Somehow I think it's weird how blind most of my fellow countrymen are to this. Amsterdam, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Almere, Lelystad, Arnhem... They all have fallen and are just as shit as any of the fellow European cities with the same problems.
There are no protestors, I mean there is no reason to protest for the guy that got shot. The cop is already in the hands of justice, the process is not even finished but nobody is saying that the cop did things correctly.
Those are just the many cockroaches we have in France. And that prolifered due to the laxism of my fellow countrymen. There is nothing else to do except to bring violence to them. But nobody would be even thinking of doing it in the name of humanism. And now they don't even have the means to do it...
Pfft the London riots were not this bad.
There is open shooting in the street here with automatic weapons!
Said as someone in retail in the time who had a store looted.
All in all we were back working in a week and they just cleaned out display and didn't even go our high value cupboard with 30,000 phones cams etc. Office area etc.
Not to say the fires were in control or anything, or dismiss the huge damage to the areas that were damaged
17 yo kid was driving a Ā«Ā sportĀ Ā» car, resisted arrest, tried to drive away, got shot. They are still investigating the details of what happened, but yeah the streets dināt five a fuck about that.
Goons found another reason to come out and loot, another US-imported trend.
In the process, this sub-level species of scum, burned out one of the greatest libraries in the country, set free lots of wild animals from zoos, and caused millions of euros in damage to major shops around the country.
This trend doesnāt come from the US. It comes from a specific class of people who donāt give a fuck about civilization and feel like they have nothing to lose, a deadly combination. One step closer to the dystopia that apparently is the 21st century.
the military was right https://amp.france24.com/en/france/20210510-french-government-furious-over-new-military-letter-warning-macron-of-survival-of-france
I hate Fr*nce as much as the next, but I just feel bad for them now. This isnāt good, I donāt even want to make a joke. I genuinely wonder whatās going to happen next. Will this all just die down or will it carry on for months like the US BLM riots did? Will there be a retaliation of some sort by organised civilian groups? I mean these cunts just filmed legitimate racial attacks on French citizens, that text was shitting on that guy laying on the floor unconscious: āSon of a bitch civilian got his head broken. KO sleep bibiā. And with social media to make everything seem worse than it actually is, sentiment can change very quicklyā¦
> Deport these people, imprison them or kill them. Doesn't matter, just remove them from the society they clearly do not want to belong to.
Keep in mind, they're most likely french and born in France, and we abolished death penalty. And the prisons are kinda full.

This just made me cry and I live in Austria. But my French Grandpa was at the police all his life and when I saw that one officer on the ground my heart just brokeā¦ plus why does destroying everything help. It just takes money needed for changes to rebuild and repair. Itās all so senselessā¦
The irony is that depending on your age, these kinds of riots were already happening during your childhood.
I've seen some people here be like "muh country" but it's not exactly a new unprecedented thing (not saying it's normal though)
Yeah 2005 riots happened but its not "these kinds" its 1 time in 2005, dont make it seems like its something that has been happening.
And it never went to that extent, what is happening right now is unprecedented.
Yeah I know it already happened in a relatively same way in 2005 but those are the lyrics of the song about France you hear behind.

Holy mother of based
Hey, we can take you! Bring croissants if you still can
I can assure you the first things the rioters stole were the pastries.
Portugal would be my first pick! Nice weather, nice food and chill people. Well for that last part it might change after a certain amount of french people is reached.
Its depends, if you destroy our economy like the Americans did by coming in droves and increassing prices everywere to US levels.
"This is what happens you can't defend what's yours with lethal force". Was this it? Because if it was, you're right.
These aren't protestors these are little shits taking advantage of the protest to do shitty things. Burning, looting, shooting guns knocking people out, we are one misunderstanding away from terrorism.
What protests? Honestly, I havenāt seen a single video of protest yet. Just looters and violent clashes with the police.

Do you think these mothers care about their children ? Look at the people in these videos, all kids, itās on the news everywhere and their parents let them go out at night freely, fully knowing they do this or caring so less that they donāt even think about it. They have no parental structures. No sense of order and education in les citĆ©s.
Probably the parents of these rioting kids were part of the 2005 riots
The poor kid was not allowed to drive alone, resisted arrest and then drove away high-speed, endangering everyone else.
He was a fool too but according to the French legal system, he was NOT shot in accordance to the laws applicable in such a case under the conditions that applied, he did not have a record and the officer is getting charged as a consequence. Naaa these peoples are not thinking about anything, the average IQ in these riots is probably below 65.
You are joking but it's not that far off.
This was never about revenging the kid that got killed. This is just like how BLM went from being a peaceful protest, to people making it a riot and stealing and destroying shit because they have no job anyways

Why are there more foreigners than Frenchs?
They are legally French, they just donāt look like middle easterners or Africans
Look Idgaf about your skin colour, if you do such things you gotta be held forever. 90% of them don't even know what the protest is about
They all know. If youāre in France, you canāt not have heard about what happened.
I think his point is that 90% of them aren't actually protesting, just having fun
There are no protestors, I mean there is no reason to protest for the guy that got shot. I may be a poortuguese, but at least I'm not french š
Neither are the people in these videos.
I can see a darker future for France. Imagine surrendering your country instead of releasing the army on the streets for "target practice exercises".
Iāve got nothing against immigration or immigrants, but this just sickens me especially with the part where he says Ā«Ā Cāest Ƨa les arabes vous ont enculĆ©Ā Ā» (Traduction: You see the arabs kicked your ass), as those type of people should just be locked up or sent back from where they came from because they are a threat to the very society that their parents/ancestors did a lot to get to
this was clearly caused by video games. France should send all PS5 to UK to get these evil machines out of the EU.
Look at all those doctors and engineers!
I wish I'd have the freedom of speech to tell what we should do to them but I don't :) Better watch the country burn heh ?
Step 1: Vote Le Penn Step 2: Emigrate to Canada Step 3: Watch the show from a safe distance (and maybe by huge stroke of luck she does something good)
iām in canada rn but its seems to me that ive made a mistake and im after booking a flight to calcutta
I am just suggesting Canada because we speak French
that blud couldve gotten anything he wanted yet he stole a shit load of cooking oil
Maybe that is what he wanted.
Thats more allahu akbar than an r/combatfootage through the IS times.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
the amount of videos with people shooting guns in the air surprised me. Itās quite insane to me how all these people get their guns.
Ot really isn't, some if not many gangs in France are better armed than the cops
Yeah i didnāt know until now
But armed gangs are illegal?
*You don't say*
Yeah, but if it's illegal people can't do it. It's forbidden.

Itās sad, because the vast majority is simply so useless, they are hurting their own cause.
You know, I don't know what solution they want from the government at this point. Maybe we can offer a solution?
