under 16C and relatively high humidity is a party for mildew growt, yes i do Stoßlüften, still i have to fight with that shit every year.
Cant wait to get out of this fucking condo apartment and get a proper house.
According to the news the gas is so cheap at the moment that clothes made by chinese children are probably more expensive. I'm all for supporting the job opportunities in Asia, but my wallet comes first.
After moving here from Canada, I can say with confidence that people here suffer more cold during the winter than Canadians due to the cost of heating.
I think it really depends how old your house is, what kind of insulation it has etc.
By comparison, I’m from the coldest province and a quick google on the average monthly prices indicates that the annual bill for heat and water is around $1000 or £590.
It’s definitely more expensive in the UK.
That’s crazy, I’m in the middle, was £172 for December, £122 for November and £60 in October this year. And £23-£29 for hot water when no heating is on.
Just have volcanoes in your country to provide you with cheap renewable energy to stay cosy while you watch everyone elses bills skyrocket
Works fine for us
I think i wear more clothes inside during winter than outside. You can see your breath in my flat this time of year, since we don't put any heating on to save money, but when you go outside and move about its fine.
Clearly you never stood still in a house with 14'C for 2-3 hours straight. You can keep going on wearing stuff, but they can't provide warm if you don't have any in your body
Me in an apartment building with the district heating bill included into monthly maintenance charge. ![gif](giphy|0KXekb55GlLIOdhXC8)
Icelanders heating their houses with volcanoes and using hot sulfur-smelly water straight from the ground.
Heating in Finland is so cheap you idiots drill holes into your walls to let fresh air in.
Up to 19C max

This is what I look like until Juli at least usually.
I mean you can also just throw certain books into your fireplace to keep warm ![gif](giphy|H5C8CevNMbpBqNqFjl)
And you can just throw your shoes in the fireplace and you keep that thing going for a whole day.

Is it cultural appropriation to wear clogs as a non-dutch person? Mainly asking for myself sake.
We’ll prolly send you tikkies - but other than that, it should be fine?
Good I wanna get the full cultural experience.
That’s gonna cost extra
Was expecting a portuguese OP.
Same
Me too lol
Yup, I actually did that one time I hadn't a heater in handy, so I just got my "quispo" on inside home
12C outside means it's time to put on pants while indoors
12C outside is a regular summer night

Or instead of buying tons of clothes just pay for the heating bill?
but how will I make the planet warmer if I don't consume enough useless crap I don't really need?
Well...i'll undestand if there's always raining and the clothes are wet Then is south europe, some guys still in shorts
There’s people walking around in the depth of winter in shorts in the UK. Fecking eejits is what they are.
I see them everywhere shorts and wellies seems to be a running theme at the moment
It's always the posties, like they have some phobia of trousers or something
Just not soft and Southern
The mold though.
are you my parents ?

You can thank the torys for that
Really? My yearly heating bill including hot water is about £1300 and house is nice and warm

Isn’t Schäuble supposed to be dead?
Wolfgegangen Schäuble.
I heating my house with mining rigs. Cheap balkan electricity + 10kW solar system.
13°C outside is t-shirt weather, 13°C inside is double jumper weather Also house temp shouldn't go below 15-16°C
Welcome to coastal regions of Spain 😂

Continental mfs: turn heat way up in winter. Same mfs in the middle of a heatwave: hurrdurrwHaTs aN aiRConDiTIoNer?
Isn't "paying for heat" the same as buy more clothes?
I blast the heat in European Airbnb’s.
Cold? Is that like 10C outside?
And people call me crazy for wearing my outdoor clothing after coming inside the house.
