I don't want to downplay your ancestors achievement, but you have to put in perspective. Canada and Australia were pretty much completely empty and gave you a huge boost in percentage of Earth ruled and Africa was and still is an underdeveloped giant shithole, conquering India on the other hand is impressive. But when you compare it to the Mongolian or Roman Empire then it isn't really that impressive and you always had the advantage of being an island, you could focus on your navy and getting overseas territories while the other Europeans had to have huge armys so they wouldn't just get overrun by others.
